Un hombre aparentemente enfermo le dicen en su trabajo que se vaya a ver el doctor, lo encuentran físicamente diferente, este, se dirige hacia allá cuando en la calle empieza a sentirse muy mal y se empieza a retorcer en suelo tirando sangre hacia todas partes y hacia las personas que están a su alrededor.

Así comienza esta historia que gira en torno a, al parecer, un nuevo patógeno, que está causando estragos y desesperación en los protagonistas.
Con respecto a estos... uno de ellos es ridículo, no justifico su lugar en la historia por el momento.

Me ha gustado un montón la forma en la que se va desarrollando, la historia de la propagación y el dibujo es excelente. Hay planos que son muy buenos y como siempre este mangaka es muy expresivo... y la capacidad para darle movimiento a todo es simplemente perfecto.

Es una historia entretenida, que se lee muy rápido y que llama mucho más la atención por el contexto actual, a pesar de estar creado 16 años antes. Ademas también tiene un poco de misterio y eso atrapa mucho más.
Algunos de los personajes, percepción muy personal, son el punto debil de este manga, y también algunas partes específicas que no tienen mayor relevancia.

Did not enjoy it, but kept me invested. I prefer to pick up another manga and finish it rather than complete this one. Liked the gory scenes, but that's it.

A manga about the discovery of a new, dangerous virus infecting people..Sound familiar? It feels a bit unsettling reading this during a pandemic..Though the constant mention of Ebola sort of dates this manga a bit.

Read for Popsugar 2020 prompt Medical Thriller

In the time of COVID this may be a bit much for people. I realllllyyyy struggled to follow what was going on, but I think part of it may be that the main character is supposed to be a doctor and yet is a complete idiot. I had a hard time believing he was really saying the things he said!

關於劇情的部分
除了症狀以外，基本上在去年(2020)都見識的差不多了，所以沒意外性

而關於恐懼感的部分
也主要不是來自於漫畫，而是來自於我明天(2021/05/17，以及可能很多天/週/月)還要搭火車去台北上班這件事……

“Piensas que se puede tratar de una enfermedad infecciosa, ¿verdad? [...] Onotera, tú también has visto el cadáver, ¿no es así?¿Qué otra cosa llevaría a un organismo vivo a descomponerse a tal extremo? En mi opinión, únicamente un patógeno mortal sería capaz. Una enfermedad infecciosa."

Emeging es un manga que plantea una realidad terrorífica, y ya vivida en numerosas ocasiones; la pandemia reciente, por ejemplo. La llegada de un nuevo virus, cuya velocidad de transmisión resulta no solo alarmante, sino también familiar, pone en evidencia el poco e ineficiente trabajo de la sanidad pública en la prevención de casos de enfermedades como esta. Pareciera un grito de auxilio, y Masaya Hokazono nos orilla a preguntarnos qué realmente tan preparados estamos para combatir nuevos virus.

No hay nada más monstruoso y terrorífico que lo posible.

This is a horror manga about an emerging new virus in Japan. This feels like a manga version of The Andromeda Strain by Michael Chrichton. The characters are pretty much blank slates, but the real focus here is the body horror and I think those parts are well done. This is a short manga (only 2 volumes), so I'm comfortable rating the first volume at least. It's a decent horror read, but don't read it for the characters.

This hurtfully gave me Covid vibes. It's a great story though, from the perspective of those who discover the virus with the great goal of research. There's simply too much about the topic to cove in a two tome story, but the narrative keeps you engaged even when the characters are a bit bland.
