Larissa is the child of two worlds. She is a witch and a vampire… Witches fear her… Vampires want her blood.... and to complicate matters, she is in love with a human, which is forbidden by both.
Larissa and Nathan's reunion offered a glimmer of hope amidst the chaos. The coven, now on high alert and locked down, prepares for an imminent attack from the vengeful witch who once controlled the Supreme and the Council of Mages. With a singular focus on eliminating Larissa and preventing her rise to the level of supreme, the stakes have never been higher.
As battle lines are drawn, Larissa's determination to save not only herself but the coven, her family, and the world of witches pushes her to make a choice. Crossing enemy lines, she seeks to forge an unlikely alliance, knowing that their only chance of survival is if they work together.
Driven by an unyielding desire for a peaceful future where Nathan, her and their daughter can be a family, Larissa navigates a treacherous landscape where trust is scarce and loyalties are tested. With every step closer to her goal, she is faced with heart-wrenching sacrifices, questioning how much she is willing to bear.
In this gripping magical tale of survival and sacrifice, Larissa's courage is put to the ultimate test. Can she rally her fellow witches and allies to confront the vengeful witch, or will the darkness consume everything she holds dear? As the fate of the world hangs in the balance, Larissa must confront her own limits and discover the true extent of her strength.
The Revenge of the Shadow Witch is Book 7 in the best-selling Coven Cove Series by David Clark.
David Clark is an author of multiple self-published horror novels and anthologies (amazon genre top 100) and can be found in 3 published horror anthologies. His writing focuses on the suspense, horror and sci-fi genres with a writing style takes a story based on reality, develops characters the reader can connect with and pull for, and then sending the reader on a roller-coaster journey the best fortune teller cannot predict. He feels his job is done if the reader either gasps, makes a verbal reaction out loud, throws the book across the room, or hopefully all three.
Thanks to the author for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion. This has been a fantastic series from the start. The character of Larissa, a vampire and witch is complex and her behaviours, thoughts and emotions are conveyed so well as she learns more about herself, develops her magic and falls in love. Sam, her daughter, was born at the end of the last book and this book intertwines her story with Larissa's as they break the boundaries of what has been known about the paranormal abilities of their kind. Larissa visits new-to-her ancient worlds and David's descriptions transport the reader to his imagination, 'amazing' and 'incredible' don't do his writing justice. There are comical moments with Larissa's acerbic wit, loads of surprises throughout the story, and a very touching, emotional finale. Everything from the magnificent cover to the final page is superbly-crafted, a fascinating paranormal ending to this battle between fantasy characters. It is essential to read the books in order because so much happens, they're full of action!
I'm afraid I didn't get far reading this book - not because it's not good, on the contrary, if you enjoy Harry Potter and the worlds of the paranormal you will enjoy this series enormously. My problem is that I read book 1 a long time ago, possibly when it was first published, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The coven in question is a secret place where witches, vampires and werewolves live and are educated - not unlike Hogwarts. If I remember correctly, a young witch lost her mother, who had been hiding her from the world, and found herself at the coven where she finds a whole new life, friends - and enemies. I hadn't realised that the books in the series are episodes in the story so book 7 has moved on quite a way since book 1. Anyone who has read the previous books will love this I'm sure. I think I will go back and find book 1 again !
What an ending to a great series!!! This book did not disappoint with the action, heartache, growth, and love for each character we have become attached to. We have followed Larissa and her crew throughout all 7 books and I hate to see it end. They have all become who they need to be in the world they help fix and I can so see side stories come out of this. You do need to read all 7 books in order because they start where they end off and if read out of sequence you will be lost. Mr. Clark has a great way of spinning your feelings into great highs and lows which did not disappoint in one bit. I highly recommend you read this series as soon as possible! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This has been a great story. The ending to this series was perfection and very satisfying. There's a twist that will make you squeal aloud. There's also a tear jerking last scene in the best possible way.
The 2-star rating has nothing to do with the story and everything to do with the editing. If this could be edited and proofread, I have no doubt that it will be a 5-star series. The redundancies get exhausting. The errors, in my opinion, show the passion of the author. It's like he was writing as fast possible to get the story out and I love that. This is evident in this book especially during action packed scenes.
Eeek! I keep thinking this story is going to fall flat - it has been 7 books, after all - but it just gets better!! I adore Larissa, and all the characters are just wonderful. They seem so real! I love the magic system and the world building. I just really love this series! Clark has this knack for giving you a resolution while simultaneously leaving you pining for the next sentence. It's an unusual skill for an indie author to have perfected, but he's done it. I highly recommend any of his books!

The Revenge of The Shadow Witch, the seventh book in the Coven Cove series, is an intense addition to this paranormal series. The stakes are high when the fight for control is brought to the Coven. Many lives will be changed, and lines crossed as Larissa tries to protect all that she loves. I loved the storyline, and the characters are fantastic in this nail-biter. David Clark has done it again. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Coven Cove is attacked by the vengeful witch, Sarah Roberts who is out for Larissa's blood. Larissa is distraught by the deaths of her beloved instructors but Marcus has survived and helps them find a way to oust Sarah Roberts. Will Larissa survive and what will be the repercussions of defending themselves against such a powerful witch? A captivating book with fantastic world building.
This was a perfect end to the Coven Cove series. Full of the action, love, loss, and redemption we expect from a finale to such roller coaster of an emotional ride. What a wonderful series this was. I shall miss Larissa and the rest of the cast of characters. I received a free reader's copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my opinion of the tale.
What an epic finale! This series is one of the best I have read from this author. Full of the action, love, loss and redemption that we could expect from a finale like this. Truly a rollercoaster of an emotional ride. I can't recommend this entire series highly enough.
I received a free ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review.
I enjoyed this story. It wasn't bad and the action stayed pretty consistent. They brought in another magical being and dragons which was unexpected but didn't become the major point thankfully. Larissa got the ending she deserved and I'm glad things eventually worked out in the end.
I binged the first 6 books and couldn’t wait to read this one. I fell in love with this world. The conclusion of this series (for now) was sorta expected and a surprise too. This was a good conclusion to the series though it didn’t pack the urgency of the others in the series.
I enjoyed how this rounded off the threat of Jean against Larissa, how Sam basically became the same age her mother turned and stopped growing. Nathan embracing his change to a new role as a father and vampire. Tho I felt between Larissa killing Sarah and Mrs Robert’s overall revenge felt slightly rushed. But still a very good read
I normally don’t write reviews but I really enjoyed this series and I will continue to read more by David Clark. He style of writing is very entertaining and at times I was laughing while I was at work lol 😂❤️💋❤️
This was an mazing book. I loved the characters and the interplays between them along with the tension and drama set in a paranormal world. So good!!!!
I have read this book giving my honest review. Great story, plenty of excitement. Really enjoyed the story line. I love witches and vampires this had it all. Hope you enjoy as much as I did .
