Temptation

God is merciful. These were Yosef's last words to Yeshua, and he has spent ten years meditating on them. Now, alone in the wilderness, hungry and cold and exhausted from his ordeal, Yeshua needs God's mercy more than ever...but mercy comes at a price.

A short story, following the Son of Man book, an up close view of Jesus' temptations through his time in the wilderness before embarking on his mission of salvation for humankind. The way D L Maynard expands and fills in-between Scripture helped me to imagine how Jesus' understanding of obedience and his ministry may have developed. This depiction corresponds with the previous characterisation of the Son of God growing up in the form of a son of man; the whole series have me insight into the"fully human"-ness of Christ Jesus.

A shortstory -- fictional account of Christ's 40 day fast and temptation by Satan. Well written and enjoyable.

I like this book very much. Have read many times.

It's a good and touching story to read. It details the feelings immersed in our Savior's heart for His people. Everyone who loves Jesus should read it.
