I live in Morgan, Utah with my husband, beautiful daughter, and a couple of spoiled pups. If I'm not deeply involved in writing my next book, then I'm probably reading in the safety and quiet of my closet. I love yoga – which I now practice regularly – playing hide and seek with my daughter (only to have my hiding spots revealed by one of the pups), and I love Fruit by the Foot, Twizzlers and Peace Tea. These are great ways to bribe me into revealing secrets about what's to come.

I have an unhealthy obsession with Supernatural, The Walking Dead, and The Big Bang Theory. I also enjoy talking about them, so if you like them, too, come find me.

Writing has become an enormous part of my life and every book I write holds a special place in my heart. If you read one of my books, I hope you have the same experience.

This book wrecked me and put me back together. It was absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking. I could not read it fast enough.

Jocelyn is a single mom to her little girl, Olivia. After making some racket chasing her daughter and human-dog Monty, her handsome neighbor knocks on her door to ask her to keep it down. See, it's early in the morning and he's trying to sleep. What Andrew doesn't expect is an adorable little girl and her beautiful mom. He's hooked.

I just don't even have words for how amazing Andrew is. I don't know if I've ever swooned so much reading a book. The things he says just caused my heart to want to flutter right out of my chest. And him with Olivia....your ovaries will explode. To me, he was the epitome of the perfect romance hero.
“I don't think I had ever really belonged anywhere in this life, until now. I belonged with Jocelyn and Olivia and they belonged with me”

“I think my heart skipped a beat when she said my name and all my thoughts jumbled together. This little girl was something special”

“She was intoxicating and every part of me itched to be near her.”

I could go on and on with the quotes. He was truly magnificent.

Now Jocelyn I had a little tougher time with. While I could totally understand her reasoning and reactions at times, I often found myself frustrated with her. Here you have this amazing guy who would do anything for you and your daughter but you keep your distance. And at one point my heart actually hurt for him when she tried to shut him out near the end. She does come around and given the circumstances I know it was hard for her but I just wanted him to be happy. And she deserves it too. It just took her a bit to come around.
“I thought I had been in love before, that I had been loved. Now, I knew with absolute certainty that I hadn't. Andrew looked at me like I was his reason for living, something I had never seen in a man's eyes for me before.”~Jocelyn

Now there is an underlying dark cloud hanging over everyone's head. You know it's there. You know the other shoe is going to drop. You just don't know how bad it'll be. But all these characters pull together and see you through it. They are all strong.
"...time was a cruel bastard. It seems endless, makes you feel comfortable and secure, patient, like it's on your side. Then all of a sudden, you don't know where it went, and you feel… betrayed. That damn clock keeps ticking on, but it's no longer ticking for you.”

I have to say, my heart kind of stopped in the beginning of the epilogue, "Five years later" told from Olivia's POV. Very cruel Ms. Wilde. Luckily she doesn't leave us hanging very long.

If you're looking for an incredible hero, adorable little girl and a woman who's been dealt a shitty hand but deserves better, I just can't recommend this book enough.

Beautiful sweet romance

This is a beautiful sweet simple romance and I don't mean simple in a derogatory way. It's about two people (okay, maybe that should really be three people plus Monty) falling in love there's no guns, drugs, kinky sex or crime drama it's just a lovely sweet story about two people who meet and connect and we're with them ever step of the way, it felt real and honest in a way so many books don't these days and it made for a refreshing read.
Jocelyn is mother to the cute and adorable 15 month old Olivia, she's also an incredibly strong woman who's dealt with more than her far share of pain over the years. They have Monty a husky wolf hybrid that's seems almost human at times.
These three have left their old life behind and started afresh.
Andrew Carter has just got to sleep when he's woke by barking and laughing from next door. While he's not happy to have his sleep interrupted any annoyance he felt disappears the second he sees his new next door neighbours. Jocelyn and Olivia steal his heart and he's instantly smitten with them both.
This is such a beautiful story of two people meeting becoming friends and falling in love but it's not all rainbows and picnics Jocelyn is keeping a secret, a big one with huge ramifications for them.

I throughly enjoyed this book, I laughed and cried along with them and Olivia and Monty were just perfect.

So why not 5*?

As I've said I seriously enjoyed this story and I loved all the main characters but..

I hate it when a conversation gets delayed again and again dragging the situation out. Now don't get me wrong I understand why Jocelyn kept it to herself especially considering her past, I'd no issues with that at all but once she'd decided to explain everything then it annoyed me when the conversation kept getting delayed.
This is a minor point and a pet hate of mine so it probably won't bother you.

Also I have to admit the start of the epilogue did nothing but annoy me, the rest was great but I felt starting it like that was totally unnecessary.

This book had me sobbing. It was such a bittersweet read. Andrew and Jocelyn had spectacular chemistry. I have to say that the epilogue got me good

My Review:

Let me start off by saying that I would have really liked a disclaimer in the blurb of this book. The cover immediately got my attention because of it's sweetness and even though this book was very sweet, it was also very melancholy because of the subject matter and I wish I would have known that before going in. Because of this, I had to deduct stars.

Jocelyn and her 15 month old (sweet as pie) daughter, Olivia just moved to town. Jocelyn has brain cancer and is in remission from it. She was married to a complete asshole who not only wasn't there for her in the right way during her struggle with fighting the cancer and the subsequent treatments, but he also served her with divorce papers when he found out she was pregnant right after she was on the road to recovery. Jocelyn decided to move to a new town for a new start with the thought of the cancer returning always in the back of her mind. She moved to a townhouse that was shared with another right beside it and that's how she meets Andrew. Andrew is a 29 year old man who is tired of being in meaningless relationship and has recently turned a new leaf on life. He works security detail at various clubs, so he works really late hours sometimes. One morning after getting home at 0730 AM, he is awoken by giggles and a dog barking just an hour later. He decides to go investigate what is going on with his new neighbor, fully intending to get ugly with them. That is until Jocelyn opens the door and takes his breath away. And that is how their love story begins.

This book is filled with instal-love, which I actually adored. I love sometimes reading about men who are immediately taken with a woman. But not only did he fall in love with her, he fell in love with Olivia. She was such a precious baby. I just adored any scenes with her in it. This book was very low angst and drama - even when Andrew found out her secret, he was there for her.

I did overall enjoy this book. I would have liked a little more of an epilogue and I would have liked to have been warned beforehand about this tale not being very happy. I like to know beforehand before going into stories with certain themes, and cancer is one of them.

This review is going to be short and sweet, just like the book!

^^ This was how I felt while reading this novel. <3 We all know I'm a sucker for the awkward, sweet heroes, and Andrew definitely fit the bill. I FLOVED him, and the scene where he asked his sister to slyly figure out if Jocelyn had feelings for him. It was adorable, and I was so giddy when he got nervous about it. And even though he was sweet, he was still possessive...
No way was I going to let any other guys take her out. I had to make a move and fast. Or just lock her in her house and never let her out. Yeah, that sounded good to me.
Slow. Fast. I didn't care, as long as she was mine.
Need more proof?
Jocelyn's reaction made me want to drain my savings to get her everything she ever wanted or needed.
Sometimes, a man just has to cry, especially when the love of his life is about to slip through his fingers.
Everything that had happened in my life before her was only a stepping stone to finding her.
Okay, I'll stop now. Gah. I just loved him. Not just how he loved Jocelyn, but also how he cared for Olivia, her daughter, and always thought ahead to having more children. He was in it for the long haul!

I don't have much to say about the heroine. I really enjoyed her! She was so sweet with her daughter and although she made a few decisions that I didn't agree with, I always understood where she saw coming from. Sorry I don't have more! Honestly when it comes to a heroine, if she doesn't annoy me, I usually love her ;)

There were a couple random things I wished were different... , but none of them bothered me enough to ruin the story. I'll definitely be looking out for more from this author :)

Jocelyn White escaped a loser ex and moved to a new town. Her priority is her toddler daughter, Olivia and her human like dog, Monty. Her priority is to spoil them both with love and happiness for as long as she can. She never expects the sexy new neighbor. Andrew Carter. He is everything she never knew she was missing, for her, and for Olivia.

Andrew is drawn to Jocelyn the second he sees her. Speechless. Then when he meets her little daughter, who steals his heart in an instant, he knows he will be what she needs him to be till she sees he is willing to be all that she needs.

This is a well written romance. A slow build of friendship. Of acts showing his love and hers. A cute as all hell toddler and a human acting dog. But....Jocelyn is hiding a secret, one with serious implications to there happiness. Will she run out of time before telling him? We he be able to handle it if she does? Is a HEA even in the card?

I loved this book. Only reason I didnt give it a 5 star was because the ending to me felt rushed. It was like her is the twist and then woosh book over. Id have liked to see it drawnout a little more. The implications of her actions. Of the secret and her journey through it. Otherwise, near perfect book....all the feels!

This is one of those books that would stay with the reader for awhile. It's not a perfect book, per se, but to me it almost is. It is about seeing the positive in life even with all the drawbacks. About being brave and about love, of course. This book touched me in a deeper level than I expected.

The H Andrew... Seriously, we need more Heroes like him. I want to be LOVED by him. He is dang perfect to me. :) The things he did and the love he showed was everything.

"You own me, Jocelyn. You have had the claim on my heart since the first moment I saw you."

Olivia the kid... Sooo sooo adorable and even Monty, the dog. Classic.

The h... Although I have some issues with her but more than that I want to give her a hug.

This book had just the right amount of sweetness. It left a fuzzy warm feeling :).

Thanks Leonor for bringing this to my radar. I really loved it :)

I'm so glad this book was recommended to me (thanks Ann Lou!) - it was exactly what I needed after what I've been reading lately.

This was such a sweet romance with an awesome hero, a great heroine and a gorgeous little girl. Oh, and we can't forget Monty - I wish I had a dog like him :)

It started to lag a bit for me around the halfway mark, but then I got caught up in the story again . I'll admit for a moment there, I got really worried that things weren't going to end up the way I wanted them too and I felt my stomach drop when I first started that epilogue...but then I laughed . So it was a great read that put me in a much better mood and my husband will be grateful I won't be ranting and carrying on after the kids have gone to bed :)

A real H , he didn't let his ego rule him, He constantly apologized for something he is not responsible for, he stood for the h even when she pushed him away, he loved another man's child as if she were his own, He is not afraid of telling her that he is a jerk and bastard for not supporting her better but I think no one can be better than him.Heck he scares off OW , he tells her that she may be the first woman he gets violent with and that too in public when she badmouths h's daughter. Can this man be real ? Even fictional Heroes can never be this good .

h and her 15 month old daughter move to a new place hoping to leave her past behind her , H is her neighbor . She is afraid to involve with anyone and hence they remain Just friends for a long time . He didn't even kiss her for a long-long time. He falls in love with her daughter the very first moment he saw her, I loved his bond with that little girl. And there is this half-human dog (Yess, its true) whom he had to deal with in order to join their pack . And we get to read H&h conversing with the dog just like any other character in the book, It was endearing.

First half of the book was warm and fluffy , we just know that h is hiding some illness we don't know what and that her jerk of a husband had left her because of it.Soon their friendship grows deep and H is ready with a ring, to ask her to marry him and let him adopt her daughter. Just then h collapses and we get to know that h was a patient of cancer and now there is a high chance of relapse.

It was a melancholy, made me dejected. For a gawd-aweful minute there I thought h died. I am glad she didnt . I can give as many as extra stars just for the H , he was phenomenal .

I love that I have a ton of book girlfriends that I can rely on to recommend books to me and that I get text messages that say, "I'm reading Our Time by Jessica Wilde.......a book perfect for you."
So seeing as how I was in need of my next read, I looked it up and decided to give it a try. And damn if she wasn't spot on!

This book is one big swoon fest thanks to one Andrew Carter! I loved him the minute we met and he just kept getting better! Then this other little character, Olivia, well she holds the moon and the stars as far as Andrew is concerned and the fact that Andrew falls for her before he falls for her Mom just ups the ante! I've decided after reading this to add a new shelf to my goodreads where, Andrew Carter can now share a shelf with Brody Murphy (Cranberry Inn series) and Matt McKinney (The McKinney Brothers) maybe I'll call it Swoony insta Dads!

Jocelyn is actually a heroine that I enjoyed reading. Sure she had her issues and secrets but she was strong and determined and she was a Mom! I was rooting for Joss from the beginning and was hoping her secrets wouldn't mean the end.

And of course I would be remiss if I didn't mention Monty. This dog was such a great addition to this story!

This is a really sweet, sentimental story with tons of feels that I would definitely recommend if you're looking for an easy quick read with just enough turmoil and drama to keep it moving!

Our Time is a book I would highly recommend to anyone who likes a good love story, but it is so much more than that. It is the story of a woman, who no matter what happens to her, takes the initiative in her life to live, and to be happy. After a series of unfortunate events in her life and a fight with cancer, her husband leaves her when he finds out she is going to have a baby.He serves her divorce papers and is gone with the wind. Luckily she has a few good friends who are there for her, but after her little girl is almost two, she decides to move and now is several hours away from all that she knew, and she is alone. Her daughter is a beautiful little girl, Olivia, and her dog is her best friend, who has been with her since the beginning of her sickness and there when she had her baby and is almost human in his mannerisms! Jocelyn just wants to have a happy life for her daughter and that is the most important thing in her life.

Andrew Carter is a wonderful man, and he was there when his parents died and he stepped up and finished raising his little sister, she is now happily married and he just goes on in life, working having an occasional date, and so he is basically alone. When Jocelyn moves next door and she is trying to get everything done, and he hears all the noise going on next door he gets up to let them know he just got off work and they are being too noisy. When Jocelyn answers the door with her beautiful little daughter in her arms and her dog by her side, he is surprised and after finding out she has no one helping her move and no husband he steps up and helps her. From that moment on, they are almost always together and both of them start having feelings for each other. Jocelyn is afraid to take a chance however as she has had to be strong and always do it on her own, and is having a hard time letting Andrew help her, but the little girl loves him from the very first and she steals his heart and Jocelyn does as well.

What follows you will have to read and find out but the question remains, will she tell him she is living on borrowed time, will he be willing to love her anyway, and what will happen with the beautiful little Olivia, who now has her Mom but also Andrew who loves her.

There were a lot of wonderful scenes in this book, it was well written and there was a little angst between the main characters, of an emotional type. Things happen that make you feel like laughing, but also there are things that happen that will make you cry with despair, and I felt while I was reading this book that I actually knew the characters and was taking this trip with them!

Do yourself a favor and read this book, you will be so glad you did. This book is one of my favorite books this year, and I know it will be many others as well when they read it.

I gave this book a 5***** star rating, and look forward to many more books from this author!

Andrew Carter, Monty, Liv, Maddy and of course Joss... each one in there own way will stay with me. This was a remarkable love story about hope, playing, family, coming back from after the worse possible scenario and falling deeply and madly in love; not only with your best friend but a little girl, a dog, and family. Daddy never sounded so good. Get your tissues.

I received this book from first reads for a honest review. I fell in love with this book from the very beginning.I loved Jocelyn's relationship with Andrew and how he was such a rock for her during hard times along with Monty of course:) . It was cute how in the past when Jocelyn felt alone and needed support her dog Monty was there as a source comfort and support .It was heart warming how Andrew was with Olivia and how good of a daddy he became to her.

Stumbled upon this one accidentally while researching titles for my own book. Blurb showed promise so I downloaded it, and I'm glad I did. It had all the elements I love in a book: a sweet love story with enough heat to make it interesting, a devoted mother, an adorable child, a looming tragedy, and enough family and friends to add humor and drama to the story.

Jocelyn is an attractive single mother with health issues that could possibly affect her future. Her main concern is for her daughter, Olivia, an adorable toddler with a knack for making anyone and everyone fall into love with her. Trust issues stem from having her former husband walk out on her as soon as she announces her pregnancy. What a prince. She replaces her ex easily enough with a wolf/German Shepherd mix puppy named Monty and talks herself into thinking he's the only male she needs in her life.

Andrew is your average hunky security guard, used to having women throw themselves at him at the clubs and events he's hired to protect. One look at his new neighbor and he's instantly smitten...with both mother and daughter. It seems natural, comfortable even, to entwine himself into their lives. It's easy to become Jocelyn's best friend...the difficult part is remaining friends when all he wants is to be her everything.

The story is told in alternating first person points of view, not my favorite to read to begin with. Despite that, and the narrative feel of it, the story kept me wanting to read more. It was a sweet, with touchingly poignant moments that brought me to tears one moment and had me smiling the next. A very enjoyable read and I highly recommend it.

Well done, Ms. Wilde.

Romance, tears, a toddler, and a dog won my heart!

Joss has a secret when she meets her sexy neighbor, Andrew. She has a toddler named Olivia and a dog named Monty. I was won over quickly by the story (and maybe the cover, too). Once I read the sample on Amazon, I 1-clicked immediately and started reading.

Joss is sick with something not revealed until later. Her past experience s have left her cautious with men, especially because of her daughter. I fell for the romance that had time to build between Andrew and Jocelyn. How he was with her daughter and dog... Melt!

There were some interesting side characters and then her illness became an issue. I found myself in tears as this group of people tried to make their way to becoming a family. I enjoyed the writing, the dialogs, Liv's attempts at speaking and even Monty's input.

Heartbreaking and heartwarming. Some sex. Lots of romance and story. There were times I wanted to shake Joss to open up to Drew, but with so much at stake, I understood her reluctance.

I enjoyed it. So glad a blogger posted it on Facebook and I was smart enough to read it. Our Time reminds us how precious time, family, Friends, and love all are.

2.5 Stars. I just don't know how to rate this book. The premise of this book is usually one of my favorite types. I like reading about how they deal, how they live along side of these obstacles and how they handle relationships. It's just my thing. It gives me a deeper appreciation for those struggles and I connect with those characters. This book wasn't quite there for me. It came close but shied away from the things that would allow me to connect. And it did that with some very basic stuff, like why would someone move that far away from their only support system when they they have a baby and are at risk of major medical catastrophe? Her ex signed his rights away. So that didn't seem plausible to me. IMO this could have been cleared up by just some lines about her ex who maybe threatened her or was making legal noise or something. There were other smaller things too but beyond all that, the book held my attention because I adore when strong men fall for little kids and those kids melt their hearts. These were some of the best parts of the book and the author nailed those. Over all, I liked and read it through to the end but just wanted it to be more solidified.

Our Time by Jessica Wilde
5 stars

This had my heart wrapped up in it so early. Many moms have the thought in the back of their minds, "what if I don't live long enough to see my kids grow up", because of Jocelyn's life experiences that is what dominates her thoughts, she appreciates every little thing about her adorable daughter Olivia. It is a beautiful relationship she has with her daughter.
Andrew doesn't expect his life to be turned upside down from the direction he was going, but Jocelyn and Olivia do exactly that. A great guy who has to figure out how to have the right relationship with these two.
I really loved this romance, I felt the connections were very realistic, and the emotions behind them were very real. I was brought to tears several times. I loved this story, it was my first Jessica Wilde book, I'll gladly read more!

Jessica Wilde is now one of my favorite go to authors. She writes such heartfelt, loving and amazing characters.

This book was an ugly cry for me. The love that Jocelyn and Andrew share is definitely the stuff people dream about. Andrew's instant love for Olivia is amazing.

Jocelyn has had a difficult life but she had tried to overcome her past and live for her daughter. Her relationship with Monty is something very special. I had a hard time putting this book down once I got started. It flowed very well. I love a good HEA, and this book has a phenomenal story.
