But as often happens with Japanese books, it was completely different. This book describes a year in the life of Shigeyuki Numata, a junior high school student struggling at school. The most interesting aspect of this book is that everything is told through the eyes of his older brother, Shinichi. The least interesring aspect is that so very little actually happens in the book. There is no point, and no clear solution to it either.I did really like the ambiguity of the ending. As a disclaimer, I only started reading in Japanese this year, so I might have missed some things here and there.own read-in-japanese
