The Dynamic Laws of Prayer

Rate this book
From the PRAYER IS WHERE THE ACTION IS! A young man with a grave problem was asked by his minister, "Have you prayed about it?" He answered, "Prayed? This is no time to pray. It's time to do something!" To pray IS to do something—the most important something you can first do about any problem.

Why? Because prayer is the only action you can take that truly makes things different— from the inside out. This is true because physical action releases the weakest form of energy, whereas mental and spiritual action release the highest form of energy. Prayer deals primarily with the states of mind and laws of mental activity that rule your world. Prayer changes your mentality; it first changes your thinking as it calms, uplifts and renews you. This is one of the purposes of prayer — to change your thinking, which in turn changes your world.

But prayer goes further. There is another reason for all the shouting about the "power of prayer." Prayer releases the highest form of energy in the universe, as it links you with a God energy, which is your source. When this happens, prayer "turns you on"!

How? When you pray, you stir into action an atomic force. You release a potent spiritual vibration that can be released in no other way. Through prayer you unleash a God energy within and around you that gets busy working for you and through you, producing right attitudes, reactions and results. It is your prayers that recognize and release that God power. As you pray you expand mentally and spiritually so as to become big enough in consciousness to receive a larger flow of the divine energy generated through prayer.

Prayer is not only asking and communing—prayer is also receiving.

This is the first book I read by Catherine Ponder, and it wasn't the last! What she calls "prayer" is mostly what I would term "making affirmations". I noted her many examples of useful affirmations for later use in healing both physical and psychological problems and all sorts of problematical situations.

Although the affirmations quoted are formulated in old-fashioned, "religious" language and mostly call upon the healing power of Jesus Christ, we are left in no doubt as to their potency when we read Ponder's many stories of successful, miraculous healings subsequent to their use.

An inspiring book which I later purchased both for myself and my daughter!

This book changed me because I had never applied prayer quite the way Catherine Ponder suggests in this book - but once I did I was never the same again. Forever grateful to Catherine Ponder.

I am currently re-reading this book. I first discovered Dr. Catherine Ponder's books more than ten years ago, and they continue to Divinely Guide, Spiritually Uplift and Prosper me. I have noticed that it is easier for me to read this book now, than when I first read it more than five years ago. I look upon that as a testament to my Spiritual progress. The book is about so much more than the Power of Prayer.

Today (or, tonight, as the case may be) is Thursday, May 28, 2015. I completed rereading this book approximately two years ago, and have been considering rereading it, as I lead my very first Event on Prayer in less than two months.

This book gave me the same vibe while I had been reading The book Secret by Rhonda Byrne.
Nevertheless, the law of attraction exists and Lord Jesus tells us many times in his gospel that whatever we pray and wish for in his heavenly name he will provide them to us! We only need to believe in his word and trust him from the depths of our hearts.

I personally wore out 2 copies of this book, bought 4 for friends, recommend it to others and have it on kindle. It’s the best of all Ponder’s books and what it does is give the different types of prayer. Besides her great affirmations there are prayers of Cleansing, Decree, Miracle, Concentration, Realization, Protection and more. When I am not feeling the flow I open the book randomly and use the method that comes up. Love this book.

Although I believe that every single person has his own way of praying and we can not create a universal rule for such an individual experience, this book offers alot of effective way of praying that we already might have been familiar with but didn't know how to use them Effectively. I liked this book because just like any other book found me in the right place and time and could perfectly fill the gaps I had in my praying techniques.

I don't know how I feel about this book. If you are a person of the book, I assumed that you know that your works are the tools that God uses to design your life.

I don't remember how I came across this book but I am glad I gave it a try. Before reading this, I thought I knew and understood prayer. I was wrong.

This book completely shifted my perspective on prayer and my relationship with God. It offered insights that I had not encountered in my many years of attending church. I learned about the power of intentional prayer, different prayer methods, and how valuable prayer is connected to other important aspects of our lives.

It also helped me reflect on other aspects of my life that needed improvement, such as forgiveness, letting go, mindfulness, and empowered mindset.

It's quite a heavy duty to get through, but I have gained further insight in how I pray and how my prayers manifest.
I pick it up on occasions when I want to gain a further understanding of what my prayers mean to me in the realm of biblical context and overall, sense.
