1. Be, Build, or Borrow authority.
2. Identify your strengths.
3. Check if your blog idea is future-proof. Will you be able to post content based on that niche for the next 5-10 years?
4. Refer to Q&A, Forums of the domain to find out what people are missing/wanting.
5. Content is primary. Monetization is secondary.
My take:
Had the book included examples of niche topics and more software/tool suggestions, I would have definitely bumped up the rating to 4 or 5.

Follow one niche and become authority to it l. simple logic
One thing i learnt from this book follow and research authority blogs to become authority. Nothing else fail fast and start again.

Interesting only in the fact that his recommendations were different than some of the other bloggers books I've read. A bit hard to follow what he was trying to get a cross to the reader.
I might try some of his other books to get another perspective.
