This third book in the Dragonslayer series sees our hero, Axel, face severe challenges: his wife's determination to be active in saving their son, his friend Sidney's challenge to face his responsibilities, the king's brother's challenge when he brings an army to force his place at the throne, and the challenge of selecting a value when two of his important ones are in conflict.
Axel also faces spies, dungeons, armed enemies, treachery and once again, dragons.
This trilogy was amazing! The plot was engaging and the books easy to read, with relatable characters. I wish there were more books in the series or that he'd written more stuff!
My favorite of the 3. It held a lot more complexities for how short the story was. It shows that MG/YA books can have depth to them along with being easy to grasp and read.
