Shay really aggravated me throughout most of the book. Not because of her situation, but because of her refusal to share it with her husband for so many months. I was surprised at the turn for Trina and Max, but not at all surprised at Mia and Mike's. I felt like Amad was getting the raw end of the stick from every angle when the majority of their issues could have been dealt with if she opened up sooner. I thought the ending was befitting, but again, Shay got on my last nerves and I felt like she needed to be put in her place by Amad more than she was.

I wish I could just somehow jump into Dwayne's head for a few minutes. I want to see how he comes up with the stuff he brings to his books. He's obviously a great judge of others because he's able to make his characters much more realistic than a lot of other authors I've read. Not only the characters but the stories and situations themselves are also much more realistic. You might assume something so realistic would become boring but like I said before in another review, in the hands of the right author exactly the opposite happens.
The Womanizer's follows three men and three women, all pretty much friends though some in the group are closer than others. The men are Mike, Max and Ahmad and their wives are Mya, Trina, and Shay, respectively. I can't begin to tell all the drama these six people face in this book. Each man and each woman all have their own difficulties and situations to deal with and try to overcome- some manage to and some don't. Some of the characters with have you feeling so sympathetic and some make you feel hatred. There was no one feeling towards one character here for me.
I finished this in just a few days because I had a hard time not knowing what was happening next. Anyone who likes any of Dwayne's books will love this and anyone who likes good fiction will also like it. This is another that can't be put only into the urban fiction genre- it's just plain old good fiction.

I loved this book just finished it last night I stayed up just so I could finish it. WOW that Mike omg he really thought he was all that when it came to women but, what goes around comes around. He didn't need Mya at all and I still don't know why she put up with that BS from him. Ahmad was a good man. Max was right any other man wouldn't had stopped. Also I think Shay just was so full of it I know she had a baby but, dang your husband trying to be there for you and you just feeling sorry for yourself. But, I even clapped when she told Mya butt off lol. But, loved the book YOU GO DWAYNE givng you a 5 plus more lol.:)

Men are a trip, sometimes bit only because we as women allow them to do what they do to us. This book was good and full of shocking moments.

Ahmad - as hard as he tried to be an honest man, he still failed. He shouldn’t left to go to her; period. Even though he didn’t actually go all the way her. He still cheated. Betrayal; your best friend wife. Glad to see that he confessed.
Shay - though she was experiencing a serious issue, she was somewhat annoying. Loved how she handled Mya with class.

Max - that’s the unforbidden & so nasty. Though it’s forgivable. Major change is required!
Trina - Glad to see her address her mother.

Mike - He’s a loss cause.
Mya - victim with no morals.

Glad to see that their friendship survived.

I didn't care for this book at all. I disliked all the characters except for the baby (LOL). Max should have never been forgiven! Shay was annoying and the fact that Ahmad let her walk all over him was annoying. Mike was disgusting; and it really pissed me off that his rock bottom was him waking up finding out he had slept with two overweight women. Really! That was his bottom! Ridiculous. I could go on and on with more reasons why I disliked this book but I won't. Not an enjoyable read at all for me.

Wonderful book. I loved the storyline. Shay was definitely the worst character for me. Talk about entitled! She must not know how hard it is to find a good man and her problems in her marriage even Mia is denying that man sex. You never deny men sex especially men that do not cheat.
I was quite curious to know what happened on Mikes trip to make him change his mind. I would have loved to know how Mia ended up as well.

I really liked this book. I felt bad for Mia…until she decided it was ok to do to another woman what was being done to her. I couldn’t believe right off the bat she felt it was ok to taunt Shay.
Ahmad acted way too naive for my taste. How hadn’t he thought to record the principal? Then he was quick to preach, but quick to screw over his wife and best friend.
The other guy deserved what he got.
Mike and Mia deserved each other.

Solid 3🌟 if you’ve read one urban fiction tale of couple friends with trouble in paradise for them, outside indefinitely and consequential in-friend group entanglements you’ve read them all. You can do with or without it.

The story lines were good. Somewhat predictable but a little unexpected shock factor here and there. Entertaining enough.

This was a good read. The audacity of the men. I don’t know if any of these relationships would be be fixed if it was me. But I truly enjoyed it.

Undoubtedly Questionable

Mike, super cop/smooth operator married his high school sweetheart Mya. Mike is what he is "A DOG," and Mya knew exactly which breed she was getting. Yet she was determined that she was the one who would change him. Arrogance/Ignorance what a blissful marriage. Mike's arrogance about "his abilities," seemingly causes a frenzy for Mya. While he is busy serving and protecting all the pus out in the streets history has proven that Mya won't leave. Instead of dialing 9-1-1 the damsel uses smoke signals to get out her distress call. Now the question is whose been sleeping with who? Is there hope when Mya turns the tables?

Max, producer on the rise/family man married well. He has an overachiever for a wife. Max has a great life, a great wife who believes in his visions, and doesn't mind that she has the J-O-B. He's a bad boy, just how Trina likes, and he's domesticated. Sure he may not be the affectionate guy he once was, but he's all I need! Max seems to be lost by GP- and of all the people to be mixing with it had to be the one person Trina hates. If he could concentrate on getting his acts signed then he wouldn't have time to dedicate to Sharon. Unworthy/Miss Prissy what a blissful marriage. In order to get to the good part, you seem to have to travel on rocky roads. Once all of the secrets and hurt are revealed can this duo rekindle what they had?

Ahmad, is a teacher/committed man with a beautiful little baby girl. Ahmad treasures the women in his life, yet Shay doesn't seem to share his same "LOVE" as of lately. Shay is in a battle with herself and the last thing she wants to do is push her good man off. BUT she's not ready to share, and Ahmad is tired of suffering. Stingy/Selfish what a blissful marriage. Preaching about the power of commitments and Ahmad finds that being a friend these days maybe hazardous to his way of life. Shay's fluency in the differences between women and girls seem to clear some of the obstruction in their marriage. Will that help or hinder things?

How much disloyalty, covetousness, and fabrications can these relationships/friendships take?

Dwayne, which guy are you? Inquiring minds want to know. I think it's a good story, but it seemed to drag on too long in certain areas. Yes I see why you and LaJill call yourselves TWINS!

Mike is married to Mya. He always comes home to her, but is out having sex with other women. She finds comfort in talking to his friend Ahmad, maybe too much comfort...

Ahmad is married to Shay. He never fools around on her, but hasn't had sex with her in months. She has some emotional issues and is not ready for it, but it is straining their relationship. He is a teacher and one of his students, Maxine tried to kiss him. The principal walked in in threatened to blackmail him unless she sleeps with him. She was threatening his job, but he was not going to have sex with her. He didn't know what to do.

Then there is Max who is married to Trina. He fools around on her with her mom.

There is a lot of drama in this book, but the author really does a great job building the characters and making you feel like you really know them. He really knows how to entertain a reader.

Mike is married to the beatiful Maya and works as a cop. It sound pretty normal but for some reason he can't stay faithful. Then there is Max his also married and trying to create a record label. hE also has a hard time staying faithful. He crosses the ultimate line when he sleeps with his wife's mother. Lastly there is Ahmad. The only faithful one. He loes his wife but they start to hae marital problems. When he is finaly feed up he seeks comfort in another woman. His bestfriends wife. Inthe pages in this book you will see a bunch of drama unfold.

I like this book becasue it was different. Im not use to reading about older married couples. Though it was diffrent, I still enjoyed it.
