In a struggle between the past and the present, Phoebe awakens to a world she cannot conceive. Believing that she is still the vampire princess of old, Marcus and Raymose try to convince her that she is a modern day twenty-three year old mortal, not the warrior she once was. Phoebe is determined to meet her enemies head on. In spite of her vampire sensitivity to sunlight, she is fueled by the strength and memories of the woman she considers herself to be. The impending war between the vampires and werewolves, and a brother hell bent on killing her, drives her motivation to protect her family from those that have threatened to harm it.

This second half of this storyline blew me away. I really enjoyed seeing how Phoebe's story ends. This second book starts right after the fight and we don't know if she lives. Marcus is keeping vigil over her body waiting for her to awaken. Raymose gives her his blood so she will wake up and it bonds them to one another. As in the first book, she continues to be injured a lot. They work with her father to fight a war that has been going on for a thousand years. As more of her previous life comes back to her, she knows she has been deceived by family, and she is still being hunted by Damen. There are so many twists and turns in this book, you never know what is going to happen next. I am glad I stuck with the series because this was a really great read and I was completely blown away with how her story played out. Give it a chance, you will not be disappointed.
Loved it!! It was an enjoyable read that keep me captives from the beginning to the end. However all the men in love with Phoebe was king of annoying. But I stilled loved it.
I still found the whole all men love me annoying but I still loved the book. I love the story and the characters. This series was a little hidden gem. I liked how she rounded off the series.
