Meh.

I was somewhat underwhelmed by the content of this "book". While some suggestions were fine due to their common sense (bow parallel to the bridge), I was really hoping for a more in-depth description of what the hand, wrist and arm are doing at different points of bowing. The pictures were all right. Frankly, though, I think the suggestion of tilting the bow might be a mistake for a beginner; in my experience teaching violin, students learn how to bow straight by relaxing into the straight path provided by the flat bow hair. Tilting has its place in more advanced playing, but I really don't suggest it for beginners.

Perfect for starters

The advice given is true and clearly set forth. Wish it had more advice, but I guess for the money, that's all you get!

Common Sense

Much of this book is just common sense when you are just starting out to play. If you already play thee violin this book will not offer any new information. If you just starting out there are a couple of helpful hints, however there are better resources available.
