I am now up to about 85 of the Deathlands books. I always like a good post-apocalyptic story. Deathlands will never be counted as examples of fine literature, but they are an enjoyable way to spend a few hours. Shaking Earth is a pleasant mix of early Mexican history and post-apocalyptic adventure. It seemed to have fewer of the typo's and misused words that I've come to expect. That was a nice surprise. For me, the flaws have become part of the charm of these books, which seem at times to be edited by spell check.
