The world is changing at a dizzying pace. We're all looking for new ways of thinking that can bring about real solutions to modern problems, from the pursuit of inner serenity to solving world conflicts. In Do You QuantumThink? bestselling author Dianne Collins shares her ingenious discovery that reveals a critical missing link to make sense of our changing times. Her discovery provides us with the understanding and methodology to rise above problems of today by laying the foundation for an entirely new way to think. The result is an experience of newfound ease, grace, and mastery. Part science, part philosophy, part spirituality, Do You QuantumThink? draws on a wide spectrum of sources, from cutting edge innovations in the sciences to the insights of the world's greatest spiritual leaders. This book will make you laugh, free you from limiting ideas, and introduce you to the most advanced principles and practical methods for living. Do You QuantumThink? will rock your world in the best of ways as you experience one revelation after another. We're in a quantum age, yet we're still attempting to use industrial age thinking --despite the fact that ordinary logic and step-by-step "how-to's" have long since reached their limits of effectiveness. QuantumThink® is a new system of twenty-one principles and practices for the mind and awareness . We develop a new awareness and update ourselves with more accurate and current knowledge. In Part 1, Wake Up, we take an exhilarating look at the current situation of human culture. We connect to the nature of wisdom, mind, and mastery--and understand why it's essential for us to expand our world view. In Part 2, Live the Wisdom, we are offered the entire set of twenty-one distinctions in new thinking that have us "living fully dimensionally." This is uniquely new thinking that has the power to change the course of human destiny as well as your own. It's a book that is truly "a friend for life."
I actually ordered this book before it came out, and I got it in 2011. I started reading it then, and I remember being really into it. But now it just seems like another self-help book. It's not really new system of thinking - it's a bunch of tried and true systems - mostly good advice - just packaged differently. Which the reader is reminded of over and over by the many, many quotes the author uses from those who have gone on before.
The main difference is that in this book, these ideas are presented with the metaphor of particle physics. Partially with the intent to give things once-mystical a scientific spin. It often comes across as new-agey and mystical, though the author states, "This isn't a bunch of 'new age' hooey…"
I liked that it reminded me of things that I should be practicing, but it made me want to go back and read those books that said many of the same things but had a much more profound impact me at the time (like The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People).
Part of the problem with this book is it's too wordy. Be simpler like Chopra's Way of the Wizard. Or have 7 main points to remember like Covey's book - not 22.
The first 100 pages is about QuantumThinking™. It goes on a bit too long, trying to explain why you should QuantumThink™ and why you should read this book. Um; I'm already reading it. The author is way too conversational; she ends up often sounding glib and trite.
But maybe becoming a better person is like exercise. You just have to find what works for you, and maybe the way this is packaged will work for somebody they something else won't.
The subtitle of this book is rather bold: "New Thinking That Will Rock Your World." And it does. Without going all hyperbolic here, this book came into my life at just the right moment and is helping me shift my thinking and awareness... Do You QuantumThink? is one of the most important and valuable books I've read in a long time; one I will read again and will refer to repeatedly; one I will recommend highly.
From the book: "... the most important message of QuantumThink is this: if you want to master your life you have to master your mind."
Our world is in the midst of a Great Shift and we (each of us) has the power to choose how we will awaken and respond to it: consciously and mindfully, or in fearful reaction; in crisis mode. This book will help you; it will support us on our journey. We need more consciously aware people. Dive in. I highly recommend this book.
It may be unusual to review my own book. Then again, Do You QuantumThink? is all about expanding your thinking and your experience of yourself and your world: ) So I am pleased to share this with you.
What I really want readers to know is that a main intent of this book is for you to connect to your own Awareness as you read - in such a way that you have a profound understanding and sense of your own mastery in whatever having a great life means to you.
I like entertainment and "intrigue" and humor, so I wrote in a style that would make it enjoyable and fun to read. Do You QuantumThink? is meant to be read again and again and is what I like to call a "friend for life." Double entendre intended. After you read it, you can open the book to any page and receive the perfect "message" for what is on your mind in that moment. This works every time, no kidding.
The book is in two parts. Part 1 Wake Up discusses our situation in the world, the universal questions every human being has, what is wisdom, mind, mastery, light - and how do we really take a literal quantum leap in the way we think and relate to the world. Part 1 is really about "why should I QuantumThink anyway?" since I am a bit of a maverick and tend to ask questions like that.
Part 2 is Live The Wisdom - The QuantumThink System of Thinking, 21 + 1 principles and practices for the mind and awareness that have us integrate the wisdom that is inherent in each one of us - put "all together" in one place in the QuantumThink system, for us to remind ourselves. So I am not just saying, hey, you know you really should QuantumThink - what I am saying is here, you CAN QuantumThink, here is the system, here are the principles. The purpose is for each one of us to go from merely "knowing" the wisdom to actually living it, as the walking-talking embodiments of it.
I must admit and tell you all that I really and truly love this book. That's a big comment for me, as I have created many things in my life -- art, writing, productions -- and I am typically critical of what I create. Every one of us is a wisdom channel through which knowledge comes, so we may reflect it to one another. I am grateful to be the vehicle through which this rendition found it's way into a book available to everyone.
I invite you to read, to use, to recommend, to comment on, and to enjoy this book -- the story of which belongs to all of us.
This is a very important book. It is not about quantum physics, but it explains just enough for laypersons to get the idea. The purpose is to transform our thinking to coincide with quantum physics. There are many exercises to get us practicing a new way of thinking about our world. It is written in a light and often humorous vein.
I consider this one of the most important books I have ever read. I have highlighted it extensively on my Kindle, and will be going back to reread those sections over and over to cement these ideas into my thinking. I bought copies for two other people in my life.
When I first picked up this book i thought it's to big and once I started reading it I didn't want it to end. The author is a very clever writer, she engages you as if you are in a conversation with her. She presents the material in a very intelligent and witty dialogue. I immediately begun to be more aware of my limited thoughts and surprisingly I wasn't critical of myself when I caught them. Dianne the author has actually invented a new system of thinking that she very generously presents with recreations for the mind and awareness and they seem to natural replace the limited thinking producing some very interesting and unexpected results, for example - I could hear things people were saying that allowed me to connect with them much more deeply than i have experienced in these relationships prior and some people I have known for a very long time. I also noticed ideas that i had were coming to fruition in ways that i had not anticipated. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised by the impact this book had on the quality of my life from just reading it.
Our book club meets twice a month; we choose a new book for each meet. We have spent 3 meetings on Quantum Think. This book has changed our lives and not just in minor ways but major life epiphanies. Not only does Ms. Collins present the information in an easy-to-grasp method but she is entertaining as well as informative. This book has had such an immense impact on our lives that we have decided that it will continue to play an important part of each book club meeting. After discussing our newest selection for each gathering we will check in with each other regarding changes in our "Paths of least resistance" and infinite possibilities. We will continue to give up allegiance to past reactions and responses.
Ms. Collins insight and wisdom is amazing...and now, after reading her book, so are our lives!!!!
At a whopping 27 hours & 28 minutes you would think at some point you might lose interest in Qantum thinking but even I was surprised in the ability this book had in keeping and captivating my attention. I listened to it as a audible book and managed to click up a fair few steps as I worked my way through.
Can we really create our own reality with our intent? Is reality created by the observer? Are old world conditioned thoughts starting to change as we move towards an awakened consciousness? This book discusses all this and much more. It’s fascinating and well worth exploring.
There is so much information in this book that for me it was a slow read, I could only manage a few pages at a time but it is packed with ways to change the way we think and look at things and would be a bonus to the home library where it could be read over and over again to get full benefit from the progressive way forward.
Opens your mind to what the mind is thinking and clears the way to other more positive manifesting of your dreams. She will be interviewed on my radio show Abstract Illusions Radio on blogtalkradio.com on January 7th...
Excellent book. It changes the way you think about things, and at 76, I am ready to make some serious changes. I did not digest it all on the first reading. This is one where you go back and back as things become clearer.
Nope. Rubbish. The author has taken a scientific concept and tried to overlay it with real world lessons - unsuccessfully I might add. This just came across as someone getting on their soapbox to tell you everything that is wrong with the world trying to come across as profound and explaining that all could be different if we as a society QuantumThink. What is this you ask? Well in the quantum realm (the universe at the atomic and subatomic level), energy can be measured as both a wave and a particle depending on how you measure. Essentially the rules of movement are different at this microscopic level and energy is kind of seen in probabilities. What has this got to do with anything? Great question!
So the author took this concept (which a lot of people have trouble getting their head around due to the complexity) and has said that we need to see the world in all its probabilities and possibilities rather than using our "mechanical minds" that force us to only see a few options. According to the author, the idea of being able to measure energy in the quantum realm as waves or as particles means that in our life, we should see a problem from all sides and be able to hold two opposing opinions at the same time. The book continues in this fashion.
Personally, I really just think this author wanted to write a self-help book but wanted to be different than the others. I love science and have recently been looking further into quantum mechanics, but seriously, I found these "lessons" a huge stretch. Aside from this, there was just SO much time spent on telling us what's wrong with the world in order to try and convince us of the reason you should keep reading the book.
Honestly, I'm sure the author put their life and soul into this book, but it read like someone had a science essay and they didn't really know what to say so they linked it to something they did know (issues with the world, the knowledge that we need to think differently), and just spent all of their time talking about that. I know. I did this in school.
All in all, I'm disappointed that I had to stop this book before finishing it. But I really just couldn't anymore. It was such a long book and I did really try, but I just hated it. 1 star.
This book is being artificially promoted. They infiltrated public reading lists to propel this book to the top of those lists - artificially making it look like it's popular and people are voting for it. Disappointed to see the distortion to reading lists they're doing.
Any QuantumThinkers that are interested in joining the official "QuantumThink Contribute, Discuss, Create" group, search for it on Facebook and send a request. I will be glad to add you.
I was the only one in my Book club who liked the book. While I concede the writing style is lacking and at times even annoying, the concept is really quite wonderful if you can stay with it.
