BDSM Studies 4 : Degradation : A Study in Humiliation
After the scandal and media storm which followed the revelation of the twisted and sadistic Jacqueline Reed PhD's activities regarding her students, and her subsequent vanishing act, the University is looking for another Professor. Professor David Stokes is give Jacqueline's role and her old office. He finds her 'punishment book' and it arouses something in him, a desire to experience female domination. I had reservations about carrying on the 'BDSM Studies Trilogy' myself, I really thought it was a story that had been told and couldn't be revived. What Maia has done is genius. My favorite character, 'The Good Professor' is referenced heavily, but we don't actually meet her again. What really does work is the fairly extreme role reversal between Professor Stokes and his student, Her study is both genius and fascinating - even though I'm not sure she'd actually get away with it! I'm pretty sure anyone with a background in psychology would have to take the study and technical bits with a pinch of salt, it works for the story and it's fun, I like the ending too!
I thought the visit from Helen the Photographer was clever and well handled. I actually suggested to Maia to keep re-using old characters and bringing them in for cameo's I think readers like little reminders of their other favorite stories, and they can go back and read them again ! ^_^
I was given this as a free review copy, and I'm glad I was. I couldn't have continued the BDSM Studies series, but Maia has resurrected it and resurrected it in style!

I pushed myself just a little to read this story because it dealt with some subjects that are not all that erotic to me. I'm glad I read it. The strengths of the story far outweighed some of the scenes that made me feel uncomfortable.
It is about a professor who agrees to be the subject of a research study being conducted by one of his female grad students. He is subjected to extreme orgasm denial, feminization and lots of kinky, creative stimuli. What made this work for me (besides all of the kinky fun) was the premise of the story and how the professor found himself totally trapped by the agreement he signed and all of the incriminating evidence that ensured his cooperation. Now having a man forced to wear female clothing is not top of mind to stimulate my fantasy life, but it was handled in such a sexy, humiliating way that I found it very erotic...fun to read. There are so many inventive, creative kinky delights in this book that will hang with me for a long time and have me looking for more of this author's work. 4 solid stars.

This is a wonderful Femdom and Sissyification story continuing on where Sabrina Jen Mountford's 'BSDM Studies' trilogy left off. It also has cameo appearances from many of SJMs best characters as well as from the author's own books. The depiction of the new professor's forced feminisation and degradation was well portrayed, with the student who's attempting to continue the earlier aborted experiment attempting to remain detached but eventually succumbing to the allure of power over a helpless and chaste submissive.

This is awesome book which takes time to develop characters..as a submissive male I am jealous of David as every shred of dignity is progressively stripped away

Some Spoilers: You hooked me early. I loved the build-up. I also enjoyed watching as David grew to accept, even love, and needed to be dominated by Aoife/Miss Shaw. The kink and eroticism were well done. It is wonderful that you have completed Jacqueline Reed's PhD research. I hope I find another tale following this one. This is a great and fun read. We enjoyed it.
