3.5/5 At the end of volume 5 Nono had a gnarly wipe out. Volume 6 was a flashback volume. Volume 7 we find out that Nono has been unconscious for 3 weeks and her secret kept with the help of Yoda, Sora, and Kishitani. Now she’s gotta get back in the game but Kiyoshi is also back and she needs to win against him to enter Inter High and ensure a shot at the Olympics.
We get some moving back story about Kiyoshi and why he insists on those old short skis of his. He also gets some time with Nono as a girl pretending to be “Noriko” which is fun. He then gets a much needed haircut and his look is greatly improved even though he is still a dirt bag.
We get back to the competition for that last spot and oh no! Nono now is scared of jumping. Next volume we’ll get the results of the competition I’m sure.
Emperor Kiyoshi on the cover of volume 7 rocking his new doo.
