And God Said...An Absurd Tale of Love, Power, and Paperwork

Rate this book
For fans of Christopher Moore, Robert Rankin, and Douglas Adams, And God Said... provides the wacky, irreverent humor you expect:

What happens when God falls in love?

God retires, gets engaged, and unleashes an unprecedented hullaballoo. Can God find true happiness and wed the woman he loves? Or will angry Anglicans, the replacement god, and the most important progress reports in the universe stop the former Almighty from achieving marital bliss?

Steinbeck. Tolstoy. Hemingway. None ever wrote anything like this. Probably for good reason. But And God Said... is funnier than The Grapes of Wrath, shorter than War and Peace, and, let’s face it, you haven’t read Hemingway since high school.

And God Said... may not answer all of your questions about the meaning of life, but it will certainly keep you entertained as you await the Apocalypse. Eric Ralph reads like Robert Rankin with an American accent and this book should appeal to anyone who enjoys surreal fantasy or jokes featuring God walking into a bar. Anyone offended by jokes where God walks into a bar may wish to steer clear of this, but anyone who believes God has a sense of humor should be fine. I personally feel that God himself should read this book. I think He'd like it.

And God Said... Involves a long list of amusing characters in a an outlandish adventure packed with humorous 80's references and pokes at pop culture. It is not plot heavy by any means, but if you like satire and don't mind a touch of blasphemy, you'll laugh out loud!
