I hate writing bios so that's all you're gonna get. Okay, okay. Instead of more boring bio stuff, how about some of my likes and dislikes?
Stuff I love, in no particular order:
- The color red—a bright, orange-red just makes me happy.
- Shiny things. I must have been a magpie in a previous life.
- Making shiny things. Love to bead!
- Dogs—they love you unconditionally and are great at stress relief.
- Numbers. So sue me—I love math. It always makes sense.
- Chocolate. Come on, that's a no-brainer.
- The mountains of Colorado. Their awe-tastic beauty is good for the soul.
- Diet Coke. What can I say? I'm addicted.
- Reading. Escaping into a cool new world someone created out of their imagination? It doesn't get much better than that.
- Oh, yeah. And writing. Making up my own world out of random bits of my twisted psyche is the best!
Things I'm not so crazy about, besides the obvious things everyone hates (war, pestilence, famine, you know the drill):
- Blogs that dis other people. What's up with that?
- Going to the dentist. Need I say more?
- Politics. Big yawn.
- Television shows that ask people do stupid things for money then make fun of them.

As for the drawings...no, they don't really resemble me much, but this is what I figure Parker Blue ought to look like, kind of geek chic. Torie Fox drew them for me—isn't she fabulous?

A quick, fun read. It wasn't perfect… the story line was kind of all over the place but the majority of the characters, the world and the various relationships were enjoyable and easy to immerse into.
-Quick summary: Val (teenage vampire slayer/part succubus) has to protect her douchey ex from danger, on top of that she has to deal with all her angsty feelings.
-I had mixed feelings for Val, I guess she was a decent heroine overall… however, the way she acted sometimes made me dislike her. I hated her for letting Shade walk all over her and I hated her for more or less begging him for another chance when he made it clear he despised her. I also wasn't impressed with her constant denial about Austin, it was obvious to everyone (including herself) that she fancied him but she kept insisting she didn't. I didn't need her to fall at his feet or declare her undying love or anything, if anything I actually liked that she didn't throw herself at him/swoon whenever he so much as looked at her… But she would have been much less insufferable if she'd simply faced up to her attraction and chose not to pursue for him whatever reason. Her silly denials just grated on me and made her look extremely immature. When Val wasn't worrying about her love life she was far more likeable.
-I used to love Shade but not anymore. He was an immature-petty brat in the previous book and he hadn't changed in this one. He was a complete wanker when it came to Val, he blamed her for things she had no control over/that weren't her fault. He never once blamed himself for anything, everything bad was down to Val. Also, his attitude about Val's powers pissed me off, she couldn't help being a succubus just as much as he couldn't help being a shadow demon — both had fucked up powers yet she was the only one who was made out to be a bad/dangerous person. It was such double standards, how did he not recognise his hypocrisy and prejudice? Even when Val called him out on his vile behaviour, he still acted mean, bitter and resentful. I hope he doesn't get away with his awful attitude, he deserves to suffer and repent for all the emotional abuse he heaped on Val.
-Mood was a desperate-pathetic loser. Val should have punched her one. It was rather annoying that any girl who was in competition for Shade's affections was portrayed in a negative way - Sharra was a petulant, selfish brat and Mood was pretty much the same. Why can't side female characters who are interested in the heroine's love interest(s) have good personalities instead of being flat cliches?
-I'm not sure about Val/Austin's relationship, he's a centuries old vampire and she's eighteen years old. The age difference is too cringey/creepy for my liking.
-I hope Shade doesn't turn into a villain, it would be so tropey for him to become the evil ex. I'd rather he try to redeem himself.
-I didn't like how Val's love for Shade was made out to be less than it was in this one. In previous books she was properly in love with him but out of nowhere it was more or less said that she never truly loved him to begin with and only thought she did because he was her first proper boyfriend. It felt like the only reason that was said was so it could seem like Val was meant to be with Austin and not Shade… I hate when books rewrite history and change the heroine's past relationships/feelings just to steamroll another love interest. There's nothing wrong with a heroine who has loved/had strong feelings for a guy that she doesn't end up with, if anything it gives her more layers.
-I was disappointed Val's family didn't make an appearance. The fuckers pretty much abandoned her and chose their other daughter over her, and for some reason Val felt no resentment or hatred. They were such dicks throwing her out and basically cutting off all contact, they should be groveling for being such horrible parents, instead Val has let them get away with everything. She needs to make them pay and they need to earn her trust back.
I'm quite looking forward to the next book, I really want to know if Shade goes crazy or if he goes back to his normal self and becomes friends with Val again. I hope he doesn't get killed off, he's started to add quite a bit of drama to the series.

There are things that I like here and things that I really don't. I like Austin, but then, I liked Dan and Shade when they were likable, then they weren't. Consistency, that's what's lacking. Although, the downward-spiral of Shade was definitely more progressive then the complete 180 Dan took.
I really hope Austin doesn't turn into a total Douche in 2 books. Or ever.

It was so hard to watch [read] one of my favorite characters become such a selfish jerk! No, I won't give away who. And it was very well explained by the end, but still so disappointing. :( I caught myself sulking through the middle of the book, but I have to admit it's still a really good story, and Fang made me laugh out loud regularly. So overall, despite my attachment to the unnamed character, I have to give it 4 stars.

As always, Blue has done a wonderful job of setting the scene for her readers and keeping them on their toes. Val continues to grow and learn from her mistakes, while still making more along the way; but hey, nobody's perfect.
Well, since Ms. Blue insisted on making the love triangle one of the main focuses of this book, I figure I'd humor everyone with some insight into that particular headache:
Val and Shade's relationship takes a turn for the worse after many trying occurrences in "Make Me." Shade is resentful toward Val and her part in his overall feelings of abandonment. Here we start to see Shade showing his true colors. (Or perhaps they're not necessarily his true colors; More like his hidden shades. Seems fitting for one named after such shades.) He is pushing Val away at every turn, claiming it's for her own good, yet it's truly for his good alone. He also maintains his bogus claims of self-help, insisting that he can save himself/take care of himself, without Val's help. Needless to say, no one else is near as confident and so he's forced to suck it up and accept Val's help, and by default Austin's. What a recipe for disaster. Shade makes it clear that, though he doesn't want Val, Austin can't have her either. He's constantly jealous of the time Val and Austin spend together and makes life unbearable for them all because of it. What a baby.
Austin has sworn himself as Val's protector, since she is still weak from the backlash of invoking the spells of the Encyclopedia Magicka. To help rebuild her strength, he's only too willing to allow Val to use his lustful energy to regain it. He's falling hard for Val and everyone knows it; except of course for Val. Poor cowboy. He's loyal, faithful, and an all-around caring person. All he can see for Val is her welfare and he'll leave no ends unmet in order to see that she's safe.
And then there's Val. She's still hopelessly pining after her shadow demon, believing time will heal all wounds. She fails to realize that Shade isn't capable of or willing to heal all his wounds where she's concerned. She thinks that her love for him will be the cure to all heartaches. But the wounds won't heal quickly enough for Val to regain what she's lost, so she must rely upon the only person willing and able to help her. (Insert hunky, awesome, vampire cowboy HERE!!)
And I think that's enough of that jazz.
Once again, an unknown evil is trying to take over the world, one human, vampire, and demon at a time. With the use of his own blood, he can control any being; anytime, anyplace, anyway. Allies will fall victim to evil's embrace. And only one person can contain the madness that has entered into their world; that is, if she doesn't fall victim to her own personal demons first.
I very much enjoyed this fifth installment of the DU series. However, I'd like to suggest a vast change of plot, and pronto!! Sorry, but this 'unknown evil taking over Texas through blood corruption to the general paranormal/human populace' is getting very worn out. It's time for some fresh material Blue! If nothing new arises, I'd suggest a tied-up ending with rainbows and sunshine, please!!

The Demon Underground is such a fun, cute and exciting series. With each new book the storyline is gets more exciting, the stakes are higher and the relationships between characters get more complex. For me, the characters and their interaction is the main draw of this series, the thing that makes me anxiously await each new installment. With so many different characters together the drama their different personalities create is simply delicious to read about. The pace of Dare Me was fast, the writing was great as usual, action packed scenes were intermingled with scenes devoted to character and relationship building. A lot of previously side characters play a bigger role in this book. Defeating the enemy was a group effort and no one was dispensable.
In Dare Me people are out to kill shadow demons, like Shade and his sister Sharra. As the Underground's Paladin, Val is charged with protecting them. Something that has proven to be quite difficult since she lost the extra speed and strength and since Lola (Val's succubus demon) is dangerously weakened. Add to that the temptation for Val to use an amulet that can control people and has driven its previous owner to the dark side. There is also a lot of tension between Val and Shade due to his past bad experiences with both Paladins and succubi and the fact that he has to rely on Val and Austin (who has the hots for Val) to survive.
I've always been a fan of Val and Shade as a couple and I never thought the day would come when that was no longer true, but it has. Reading this book has left me with so many conflicting emotions when it comes to Shade. He's dealing with so many things and it made him lash out unfairly at everyone, especially Val. He blames her for things and past events that were out of her control and it didn't help at all when his sister came into the mix with her own hatred and distrust of all things Paladin. While I understood the difficult time he was going through, I couldn't help but get mad at him for hurting Val so much with his behavior. She of all people is the least deserving of it.
Luckily for Val and me, Austin, a hot vampire perfection is right by her side. All too willing to feed her succubus, pushing all of her buttons and giving her all kinds of feels. He's easy going and charming, always ready, willing and able to kick ass. He's a warrior and a protector, fiercely loyal to those he respects, always willing to put himself and his life on the line for others. He's also gentle, sensitive and very insightful. Reading about his developing feelings for Val from his POV was a real treat. I cannot think of a man more deserving to be with her.

I love this series! It seems like so long since I've immersed myself into the world of the demon underground. I love reading about Val the succubus Paladin and her hellhound, Fang.
This story takes place shortly after Val accepts the position of Paladin. She is lonely, bored and Lola, her succubus side, is do weak operating only at about 10%. Shade won't feed her and she refuses all attempts for hell by the vampire, Austin. So, she goes out with Fang seeking trouble so she can feed. Unfortunately, in her weakened condition she herself turns prey. Thankfully Austin has been watching her and intervenes.
Then, Micah calls Val in to fulfilled her job as Paladin when two men break into Shade's home looking for him. A very pregnant Princess is upset her human is being hunted and Val us ordered to protect Shade until the can figure out who wants him dead and why. Soon, Shade, Austin and Princess are moving on with Val.
Shade is struggling with nightmares and abandonment issues and Val us unsure how to help him. Austin offers to allow Val yo feed from him and while she is hesistant to to so she must when ordered by Micah.
A new and terrible "big bad" has come to town and it will take combining the forces of all of Val's friends to save the day. I have to tell you that I truly hats live triangles but the way Parker Blue handles thus kbd truly worked for me. We finally get to read the results of the birth of Princess's puppies and more insight into their futures. I cannot wait for the next boom in the series which is tentatively being called "Catch Me." I just hope it doesn't take as long as this book took to be published.

I love this series, but this book was a complete departure and not in a good way. The books in this series have been fast paced, full of action, and made you forget that they are YA. Unfortunately Dare Me was none of those things. The story moved at a snails pace, it was almost half way through the book before there was a villain and mission. Most of the book as filled with the whiny diatribe of Val, Shade, and Austin. The love triangle felt forced and unnecessary. Especially since so much of the book was them talking about their feelings. What is the point of having characters have long in-depth relationship discussions (and be psychically linked) only to have them argue over the same issue chapter after chapter. It was tedious. It funny that the characters kept making fun of Mood, but they were all more Emo than she has ever been. I also found it odd that so many of the characters wanted Val to be with Austin. I’m not saying that I’m team Shade, but Val is a teenager it seems like she should be with someone age appropriate not a man that is a few centuries old. The main villain and obstacle that they had to overcome was very interesting, but we didn’t spend much time dealing with it. I would have liked to learn more about Emmanuel and his motivations but he was written as evil for evil’s sake.
It felt like this book was trying to fit the mold of typical YA books. Tons of brooding, a love triangle, with adventure as a afterthought. It is a shame, because the fact that this series is different is what made it great. I’m not going to give up, hopefully the next book will get back on track.
It felt like this book was trying to fit the mold of typical YA books. Tons of brooding, a love triangle, with adventure as a afterthought. It is a shame, because the fact that this series is different is what made it great. I’m not going to give up, hopefully the next book will get back on track.

This series s what I like to call a diamond in a rough. Precious and not very well known, I have fallen in LOVE with this series. For fans of Vampire Academy and Mythos Academy, you will enjoy this book.
Plot: So, this is a series and this is the 5th book i the series. I have been following it since the first time I discovered it and look forward to every book released since. So, with that said the plot once again moves in so may dramatic ways. Val is fighting for life and is once again, fighting for the guy she loves. I like that the plot is never boring but always entertaining. Either by sarcastic comments or cray dog conversations, I totally enjoyed being immersed is this book.
Love: What is it with Val finding a bunch of jerks? I want Val to find someone worthy of her cause to be honest those guys that she sees are soooo not good enough. Val doesn’t think highly of herself. She…well Val is Val. She need someone strong and capable like her. Like the sexy cowboy who keeps coming in her life. (wink,wink)
Ending: I think the ending is very good and can carry on to another book. Which I’m totally excited about. I’m hoping that Val can find some peace and LOVE that is stable and not from her dog Fang. Fang, I love that dog. He is so funny and keeps Val in check.
If you haven’t check out this series you should! It’s very good with lots of great action and characters. This is a great addition to the series and I can not wait to see what happens next. Dare Me is awesome!

Me gustó mucho más que los libros anteriores. Demasiadas cosas interesantes, pero como de costumbre todo terminó en 20 páginas. Eso es algo que me molesta. En fin, odié a Shade porque es un patancito inmaduro que no quiere a Val pero tampoco quiere que ella esté con nadie. No me gustó mucho la parte donde su hermana muere, cuando recién volvió a sus vida, osea para qué? Sólo para hacer más atormentado al personaje? No vale la pena. El tema de Emanuel se resolvió demasiado rápido para mi gusto, pudo ser un villano potencialmente bueno, pero se lo desperdició. La trama no es mala, me gusta, pero siento que podría ser mejor.

I enjoyed how towards the end Val seems to have actually come back into her own. Being a succubus definitely isn't helping her romantic life, but Shade was being mulish, in my opinion. Not a Michael Jackson fan but the ending was cute.

Dare Me is the fifth installment in the Demon Underground series. Valentine (Val) Shapiro has had more than her fair share of problems over the past few months. Ever since she lost her Slayer powers along with her V card to Slade (shadow demon), her succubus half, Lola, hasn't had the opportunity to fully charge her batteries, as it were, and fighting off challenges from vampires hasn't exactly been a walk in the park on a sunny day.
On the other side of the equation, ever since Val was named the Paladin of San Antonio as well as the keeper of the Encyclopedia Magicka, things have been less than boring. Val is still struggling with the events that happened in Make Me and the fact that her best friend and roommate Gwen Sullivan was turned into a vampire against her will by Lily Armstrong. She's still trying to find answers from the Encyclopedia that may help her protect her friends while also feeling the lure of a magical pendant that has those around her afraid Val might one day find the dark side more appealing than the light.
Thankfully for Val, she has her trusty side kick Fang, the half hellhound, half terrier mix alongside. Fang is the comedic side of this story. There's never a dull moment that he doesn't cut a laugh track, or get a bit overly protective of Val even though he is about to become a new daddy to hellhound puppies with Princess. At times, however, I really want someone to tell Fang to SHUT UP! There are times his suggestions and comments grate on me and I encourage Val to IGNORE him and let her do what she has to do. Heroines make mistakes. That is the nature of being the one. They are often arrogant and head strong, and Val is no exception to that rule. She is very stubborn, and compassionate about her abilities as the Slayer and saving her friends from enemies that crawl out of the woodwork. Without her Lola powers, she might as well be just another pretty face.
On the so called Romance side, Val has to make up her mind soon as to who she really wants to be with. Even though her heart and her body feel a connection to Shade, Shade is showing signs that he would rather find a way out of the relationship. With the arrival of his twin sister Sharra on the scene, and the return of his lost memories, Shade has more than enough problems including a megalomanic that wants to destroy all demons and vampires. This allows an opening for the vampire Austin, who has become Val's protector, to walk through the door and steal her heart from Shade. On a personal note, I absolutely LOVED the EPILOGUE and really hope that we do get to see more from the couple. I think it is past time for Slade to exit stage left and never be heard from again.
Parker states that there will be another book in this series called Catch Me. I just hope that it is sooner rather than later. With my copy of Dare Me, there is a short novella called Forget You attached. This is Shade's story that takes place 5 years before this series started with Bite Me. If you like Slade, then this is definitely a worthwhile read.

I really, really liked this book, as always with the Demon Underground books.
There were some changes in this book. It wasn't as funny as it used to be with Fang and Val. Maybe because Fang's getting too serious, what with his responsabilities with Princess and the puppies, and Val's lack of strenght and her problem with Lola messing up her life big time. Shade's acting like an idiot didn't help either. He was too damn annoying for his own good. I really wanted to kick his sorry ass in this book! As much as in Make Me. I'm starting to realize he's a selfish, childish, insecure and annoying jerk. He seemed so cute and sweet and hot at first, that even though I still thought he was a tiny bit childish at times, I could see he really liked Val and I kind of liked him. Especially after how Dan hurt her. But since their adventure in Austin (the city) in Make Me, Shade's been acting really stupid and all he's done is hurting Val and blaming her for his mistakes and has put her in danger because he's too stupid to admit she's right and he sometimes needs to be rescued.
I am starting to really, really like Austin, instead. I admit that I might have fallen in love with him already. He's near perfect. He's protective but not oppressive, he's sweet in his own way and he's incredibly sexy. He shows his feelings and his need to protect Val without being an annoying Macho Man. I have to say that I suspected since the beginning that he liked Val. Even though she had the impression he wanted to make a fool of her, I knew that his secrets smiles and jokes were because he liked her secretely. And damn, how sexy he is! I love cowboys! One other thing I liked about Austin was his will to finally let Val see how much he cares about her and how much he's into her. He also showed her she deserves better than a selfish child as a boyfriend. She seems more mature than Shade is, even though she's younger.
I also liked a lot the scene of Austin and Val on the bed after she healed Shade. How cute and hot! And I also liked the ending. The final scene with Val and Austin. He was so sweet giving her roses and staging a zombie party for her on Valentine's day.
The only thing I resent is that we don't even know what color his eyes and hair are. Or did I miss it??? I've been re-reading all the books these days and I haven't found anything about his features but his cowboy hat and his lean, muscled, yummy body. I'm assuming he's got brown hair and eyes though. I'm imagining him that way. Then maybe I'm wrong and he's blond and green-eyed, who knows? (But I hope not) So, I'm asking the author for details on Austin, please! We don't know much about him!
The story was good and I couldn't put the book down, not even a minute! The mystery, the fights, the romance, the drama.... all good! I wanted more and more and couldn't stop reading!
Highly recommended! And I assure you, you'll fall in love with Austin too! If you haven't yet!

I love this series! I can't help it. It's so unique and fun and exciting! You know, I think Val, other than being what she is, is so human sometimes. She started out in the beginning of the series a girl, with a small knowledge that she has some demon in her blood. She learns to go and take care of herself, she meets and falls in love, with Dan, and has her heart broken by Dan. But she keeps on keeping on. In book three, she meets Shade, finds out she has family, learns that there are people like her and that she can live a somewhat normal life. By book 4, things are nuts. She knows she's not even close to human, her and Shade's decisions have cost her some of her powers, she's way in over her head with the vampires, and she feels responsible for losing some of her friends. And here we are at book 5. It's been an amazing ride so far and I can't wait for so much more!
Shade has pushed her away, but no matter, Shade Demons are being hunted and she's decided she will prove her love to him by saving him. Val and Shade have a complicated relationship as it is. He's trying to stay so far away from her, and she heartbroken that he could just throw her away. But she has to keep going. There's people that need her help and she needs to be their protector. And then Shade's sister shows up, hell Shade has a sister?!? So things are even more tense. And Val needs help protecting everyone, so she reluctantly lets Austin, the SMOKING HAWT vamper help out. I cannot believe I'm going to say this, but I am all team Vamper right now. After this book, Austin has my sole vote. He's damn well earned it. And Shade, I loved him, but boy oh boy is he making it hard to just not hate him.
Seriously though, I always thought it would be Val and Shade to the end. Well, I now see the end of them. This one was definitely an emotional ride for me. I was so mad, then sad, then excited, then worried. And now, I'm still a little shocked but I can't wait for so much more! And seriously Austin is HAWT! Like I LURVE him :) Damn, I'm on team Vamper, which is surely not my usual pick LOL But after getting a few sneak peaks into POVs from Val, Shade, and Austin, I can't help it. Having those POVs has made things so much more intriguing!

So many things to be said about this book. First and foremost, I want (no, need) to declare my love for Val. Here's a gal who is just my kind of MC. She reminds me of Rose from Vampire Academy somewhat, and trust me when I say that is the highest compliment.
She's 18, she's a succubus and she kicks ass. As if that's not enough reason to love her, here's the cruncher: she doesn't need a guy to save her.
And that's why I'm so glad the book ended the way it did. Her relationship with Austin is so beautifully original. He saves her, she saves him, and they're both perfectly happy about it. It's balanced, it's healthy, and, best of all, it doesn't demean her just because she's female.
Now, I'm not saying I hate Shade. I remember loving him back in the early books. But that was before he turned all wuss on me, and refused to accept Val saving him because he's the guy and needs to the saving. NO. I really like what Parker Blue did here, because it's so rare to see something like this in YA these days, and I really wish it happened more.
PLUS, even though she has had (now) 3 boyfriends in the 5 novels, there isn't even the slightest hint of any slut-shaming going on. And I don't get the feeling that it's because she's a succubus, and that's just what people expect from her. It's so much the opposite, it's bloody brilliant. Because Blue provided this YA novel that not only has a strong, independent girl as MC, but also shows her as being fully self-posessessed, happy to kick the annoying ex to the curb when he shows his true colours, and yet she isn't hated because of it. She is a loved character, and it's beautiful to watch. And she didn't then immediately run into some other guys' arms just so she wouldn't be alone. She didn't instantly say yes just because it would make feeding Lola that much easier. She thought, she hesitated, but I mean come on... Hell, I'd say yes.

Shade nunca me gustó para Val y ahora me doy cuenta que mi instinto pocas veces falla ¬¬, Shade es tan egoísta, tan infantil, tan ashhhh que espero ya no saber más de él.
Estoy enamorada de Austin, lo amo y espero que Val ya no lo haga esperar y supere al tonto de Shade y le entregue su corazoncito a alguien que sí lo sabrá cuidar y que sí se lo merece!
Ahora, por favor Parker Blue te ruego, te suplico y te imploro que termines con tu costumbre de que todos los novios de Val terminen siendo un fiasco y ni se te ocurra hacer eso con MI Austin, porque si lo haces te ganarás mi odio eterno, Austin es demasiado perfecto y sería demasiado trillado que hicieras lo mismo con él, así que ni se te ocurra!!!! Qu'est ce que la couverture craint ! On dirait une vieille couverture d'une collection pour enfant comme la bibliothèque verte/rose dans le temps, puis même si elle tente de représenter Val et Fang, l'effet est raté. Si l'on met de coté le fait qu'ils sont moches à presque en faire peur, l'illustration ne correspond pas du tout au genre représenté par ce roman dont il en donne une fausse idée.
Bref, bien qu'assez enthousiasmée par les 2 premiers volumes de cette série, j'en suis assez déçue depuis. Elle a perdu sa fraicheur, le côté mignonnet, et drôle que j'aimais bien. Ça ne se renouvelle pas, il y a trop de personnages dont beaucoup sont inutiles, et certains agaçants comme Shade.
Pour une fois, j'étais contente d'avoir fait l'effort de lire l'entre 2, Forget You, sans lequel certains éléments seraient confus. Je désapprouve assez cette pratique, qui peut désavantager une partie du lectorat n'y ayant pas accès, ou gâcher une lecture.

While reading this one I didn't think that I would like the ending, didn't think certain relationship drama that revolved around Val would get settled and I wasn't sure what I wanted to happen. But by the end I was happy with how things ended, I think the one that walked away needed to grow a pair. Yes what happened was bad and hit close to him, but big picture, the decision was the only one to be made.
It drove me nuts how for most of the book Val lusted after Shade, while he wanted nothing to do with, but still got jealous when Val had to feed Lola and used Austin. Double standard much? I liked how Austin dealt with his crush, he played cool, was in it for the long term, just made sure that he was there for Val.
The bad demon battle was a little boring, but I liked how everyone was working together to figure out what was going. I was stunned at some of the things that were revealed and didn't really care for some of the new characters that were introduced.
I really liked the ending, loved that Val finally realized that people care for her.

I liked how Austin dealt with his crush, he played cool, was in it for the long term, just made sure that he was there for Val.
The bad demon battle was a little boring, but I liked how everyone was working together to figure out what was going. I was stunned at some of the things that were revealed and didn't really care for some of the new characters that were introduced.
I really liked the ending, loved that Val finally realized that people care for her.

Before I go any further with this.... if you haven't read the short story Forget Me. STOP READING THIS NOW, AND GO READ IT. It's very imparitive that you read it before moving on with the series.
Ok now that, that's done let's move on....
Ok in a previous review I had mentioned that Val has gotten very whiny and annoying over Shade. Well in this book it really takes it toll. There was even one point in the book, actually the few that I wish I could've reached into the book and smacked her upside the head a few times, seriously.
But there is still hope for Val yet. Austin the charming arrogant vampire, had basically made his intentions known to Val, though she kept refusing and denying him throughout the book. But there is hope for the next book for Val and her love life, because her and Shade, though I love Shade that's a mad house right there.
As usual though the book, sucked me right in, and OH MY GOODNESS! I'm dying for the next book already.

Great finish in the book, I was glad that she finally made up her mind over Shade & Austin, I am also looking forward to see how that relationship prospers. I have been routing for him since the last book and, out of the two he seemed to care enough to be there for her right now when she needs them the most.
Cannot wait till Catch me comes out to see what happens with everything new that has developed in the series.

Parker Blue is back, with another installment of my favorite sucubbus (Sorry Syfy's Bo you've been bumped to 2nd). Val has to figure out who is trying to kill Shade. Shade is trying to get over his feelings of what happened in the last book, sort with his feelings for Val, and deal with his past.
Val has to decide is she going to fight for Shade or is she willing to see Austin as more.
Action packed, another good installment!

Shade's past comes back to haunt him in more ways than one in this installment. He is slowly recovering his memories on his own, when his past shows up on their doorstep.
He's still being a bit of a jerk to Val, but thankfully, she's got the hunky Austin to ease the pain if only she'd let him.
