Something is rotten in Tribane city. The humans are descending into madness and Tegan is certain that Theodore has something to do with it.
The sorcerer and his followers have sent her father to hell and she's determined to bring him back. She's not going to lie down and play dead this time, now she has magic on her side.
And then there's the alliance she and her friends have made with Ethan and his group of exiled vampires – vampires who were exiled because of something she did. She's not having the best time living under their quiet condemnation, especially Ethan's new-found hostility.
With all that going on, Tegan doesn't feel like her love life should be taking centre stage, yet she's finding that her friendship with Finn is evolving into something she never expected. The question is, should she explore the possibility of Finn or wait for Ethan to finally forgive her?
Both Whitfield and Pamphrock are regrouping, but which side is going to make the first move?
There will be magic.
There will be fighting.
Blood will be spilled.
Someone will emerge as the new ruler of Tribane and the only thing that's certain is the city will never be the same again.
**Please This book contains some strong language and scenes of a sexual nature.**

"4 - Absolute power - corrupts absolutely, Stars!"
Everyone wants control of Tribane City. The Sorcerer Theodore, The Vampire Governor Whitfield, and The Dhampir Governor Pamprock of the DOH. Some will do whatever it takes to take control even if it means driving the humans insane and having them kill themselves in order to starve the vampires, or agreeing to have their people bound to slavery. Tegan's growing in power, but not fast enough to save herself and the ones she cares about. The city's brewing to a breaking point, and it's only a matter of time before it blows. Alliances will be made, and friends will become enemies. In the end, whoever's left standing will have control.
I love the world L.H. has created, and really like how Tegan's character has grown and become more confident and strong.
Great read!
"I voluntarily read an ARC of this book which was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review."
This is one wild ride! From pretty much the first page things begin to happen. New and frightening events are taking place and the group is trying to figure out what to do to solve the problem. Teagan is hunting for someone or something to help bring her father back, and members of the group are facing their own individual issues.
I’m still loving Teagan and her fierce approach to helping her friends. The situation between her and Ethan causes a bit of angst and drama but that’s the least of the problems they are trying to correct. This reads like an action movie filled with paranormal creatures and magic hovering in the very air. Ms. Cosway writes in a way that the images were clearly formed and raced across my mind.
This ends on another cliffhanger and oh man, I hadn’t seen that coming. This series has kept me on the very edge of my seat and I am so glad I’ve got the next book ready because I need it now!
Each book in this series keeps getting better and this book was just more! L.H. Cosway keeps adding to her world of supernaturals with shocking twists, a whole lot of action and of course a sexy and swoony romance.
The book’s exciting tone is set from the start. There’s trouble in Tribane on all fronts. Everyone wants control. The vampire Governor Whitfield, Theodore the sorcerer even the Dhampir Governor Pamprock wants to control the city. No one is willing to negotiate and Tegan is right in the middle and there’s never a dull moment.
I love how Tegan has grown and has come into her own. She’s learned a bit more about her magic and her ancestry. She’s also resolved her feelings about Ethan even though he’s likely never to forgive her betrayal. But the tension between them is palpable nonetheless.
The secondary characters give the story a wonderful added layer. I can’t get enough of Finn and Ira, but Rita also plays a very special part in this installment.
L.H. Cosway absolutely know how to hook a reader. I practically devoured this book which flew by quickly. And even though it ends with a cliffhanger, I loved the moment and way it ended. The conclusion can’t come fast enough.
Witching Hour is book #3 of the Blood Magic series by L.H. Cosway. It's told from Tegan’s point of view with a cliffhanger ending. Genres: Paranormal Romance
Okay, I can't remember the last time I read a book so fast. I loved being with everyone in Tribane again. I can count the number of supernatural guys who have captured my heart (and other places) over the years: Julian from The Forbidden Game, Frost from Blade, Edward from Twilight, and now there's Ethan from the Tegan books.
I squealed opening up the first page. It seems like I’ve been waiting years and years for this book, but it’s actually been less than a year. I haven’t been excited by a book series like this since Twilight back in 2008.
Tribane is a hotpot of supernatural activity. When Tegan is out doing some shopping and minding her own business, a riot breaks out, and she is attacked. She’s a tough cookie though, and she’s able to defend herself against the guy pummelling her, a man who moments later looks appalled by his actions. People in the city are going crazy. Something supernaturally deadly is afoot. It’s up to Tegan and Co to put a stop to things.
Tegan’s shacked up with her best friend, Rita, a powerful witch and daughter of the dark sorceror, Theodore. She’s also sharing living space with Finn, the cheeky Irish vampire slayer, her friend Amanda, who is in recovery from her vampire blood addiction, and the silent Ira, who used to be a dog in the last book. Across the road lives her former love, Ethan Cristescu, the Romanian vampire who now seems to hate Tegan for her betrayal in Tegan’s Return. We all know there’s a fine line between love and hate, particularly in these supernatural type books.
The author knows how to tease the reader, to space out the scenes with only Ethan and Tegan, leaving the reader hungry for their next encounter. This is the first book in the series with some seriously steamy sex scenes. Ethan is one of the sexiest vampires to have come out of a book in recent years. I did have a major problem with him in one early scene when he spoke to Tegan in a disgusting matter. I don’t care how angry you are, you never ever call the woman you supposedly love a whore, even if it was in an indirect manner. I almost wrote him off there and then, but he apologises, and Tegan and the reader glimpse a vulnerability in him. Ethan’s flawed, but flawed characters are the most intriguing.
Finn is the other guy interested in Tegan. He’s a loveable rogue, a man’s man, but vampire men win out for me over humans more times than not, and there’s just something intense about Ethan.
Tegan comes into her own in this book. Her magic is increasing, she learns more about who she is and what she’s capable of. I never thought of her as the damsel in distress in the first place. She was simply more of a regular woman, rather than an ass kicking gal along the lines of Buffy. She’s rough around the edges, and that’s what makes her an intriguing character.
I read this in one day, barely taking the time to go make myself a cup of tea. I loved it. The fourth and final book in the series won’t be out until December. I’ll be very sad to say goodbye to the characters, though I hope the author will publish a short story or novella about them every now and again.
Book 3 starts with a kick in the teeth, keeps you completely captivated throughout, then goes out with one hell of a BANG!
I loved all 3 books but this one floored me. This is one of those rare series that just keeps getting better as it goes.
I don't really need to say much more. Anyone who reads this review has more then likely already read the first two books in the series and doesn't need their arm twisted because you already know how amazing these books are.
BUUUUUUT........ If you haven't read them, I highly recommend them. I gave all 3 book 5 stars......love them!
can't read as a standalone!! AVAILABLE ON KU!!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Trouble, trouble, trouble, vampires, witches, shifters and sorcerer’s oh my ! Power struggles, deceit, heartbreak, destruction. The books started out with me on the edge of my seat. Tegan, seriously I don’t know how she keeps going. Life and a couple bad guys really throw her some punches. Ethan don’ts fair much better. This is a hard ride for these beloved characters. Loved it, loved it ! Cliffhanger ending, pick up the next book asap you’ll need it !
This was a great book! It sucks you in and leaves you wanting more. At times it took my breath away. It put a smile on my face that I don't think is going to be gone very soon. I love this series, and can't wait to see how it ends.
So. Much. Tension. 🥵🥵🥵🥵 I don’t really know what to do with myself right now. Third book in the Blood Magic series and it just keeps on getting better and better.
Some parts were predictable. Some were unexpected. All were entertaining ! There are so many feelings and so much emotion in this book. It is my favorite so far. Tension, humour, love, pain, grief : those are but a few present in this rollercoaster of a book. Now I can’t wait to get started on the last book.
I don’t want to say too much because this installment needs to be read spoiler free. I’ll just say that that ending has me on the edge of my seat.
Tegan, Ethan and their friends still have a lot more to face before they can get their HEA (hopefully) but I’ll be right there with them for every steps and pages.
*I received an copy of this book in exchange of an honest review*
Witching Hour could be described as calm before storm—or riots before war, to be precise. With me getting to know each characters better and better, I found myself wanting this book to never end. It had it all, shocking twists, revelations, danger mixed with sexy times. Basically, what you could just think of, it was there, but not in the overwhelming way of story-telling. Everything acted like pieces of puzzles finally finding their right place to create a whole picture. What I have loved the most about this book is the take on vampires. Rarely in books, they feel so perfect but still flawed in their immortalities and I think that’s the reason why Ethan is such appealing character to me. I would hate to forget mentioning Tegan. She was discovering more and more about her powers and herself in this book and I can’t wait to see for her showing everyone who’s the boss there. Or at least, who is the boss’ best friend… Yes, I still can’t get enough of Rita and her personality. Such beautifully written and complex character!
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Passion, love triangles, magic and evil - this is a series that leaves you wanting more, in spite of the painstaking attention to detail brought forth by the author. I can't wait for the epic battle to save Tribane City (at least that's what I am hoping will happen) and the alliance of all supernaturals to kick butt! What will happen between the incredibly powerful star-crossed lovers? I hope something that will bring them both happiness and a happy resolution.
When the last few sentences were read and I saw THE END I almost cried. It was like standing on the brink of something monumental, just within your grasp, only to be taken from you.
WITCHING HOUR is the 3rd book in the Blood Magic series and I can tell you that I totally devoured it. In less than 6 hours I read all 18 chapters, stopping only to eat. I plunged into Tegan's adventures and it was impossible for me to stop reading without knowing what was going to happen next. Tegan's story gets more and more exciting, each book is better than the last and this one is particularly addictive. LH Cosway further enriches the plot and the quality of her work. Her talent is admirable ! She generously gives us more twists and turns, more action, more battles, more villains, more good people, more suspense, more tension, more passion, more love, more of everything ! We never get bored, we go through all the emotions, we vibrate, we love ... Everything is more intense and fascinating. We learn a LOT more about Tegan and Ethan but also about the other characters. Bonds and alliances are created, we go from discovery to discovery, Tegan's team grows, her powers are revealed ... I love all the secondary characters from Finn to Ira through Gabriel, Noreen and Edwards. Ethan refuses to forgive Tegan's betrayal but he can't help but desire her, to think about her ... She ends up thinking that he will never forgive her but her heart is already in love with him. This stormy situation creates a palpable and searing sexual tension. The author knows how to make the relationship hot without them even touching ... And even more when they touch lol. Of course we always have a bit of humor, partly thanks to Finn, but I admit that I also cried ... The novel more or less ends on a cliffhanger, we don't have all of our answers, the war isn't over, Tegan and Ethan's life has undergone a big change again and I'm dying to know what takes place in book 4 but unfortunately real life catches up with me and I have to sleep ... What a frustration !!! To be continued...
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I think this was probably the weakest installment in the series thus far, although that’s not to say I didn’t still like it.
Ultimately, my lower rating boiled down to the unnecessary depiction of Finn as a potential romantic interest when we know damn well it’s been Ethan from day one, even if she did betray him in the previous book. That was another issue of mine: we were sparingly served scenes with Ethan for 80% of the story, which diminished my ability to fully enjoy the story!! The author did make up for some of that in the last 20% thankfully
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
After reading the last part I was looking forward to see where the author would go with this?in the beginning Tegan annoyed me...half way through the book I just wanted to shaaaake her and ask 'WHAT THE HELL WAS WRONG WITH HER???' I was secretly hoping ETHAN would find someone else because I couldn't stand TEGAN!!agggh and poor Finn!!!she totally strung him along for what?...NOTHING...as much I dislike the main character I find myself waiting for the next part because I wonder...where the authors gonna take us next?TEAM ETHAAAN!!!
Witching Hour is full the excitement and action where Moonglow left off! Battle lines are drawn between Governor Whitfield and the vampires of South Tribane and Governor Pamphrock and the other supernaturals of North Tribane. The evilest of sorcerers, Theodore, has returned, at the cost of Tegan's father taking his place in hell. Tegan's betrayal has resulted in Ethan losing his position in the vampire hierarchy. And, something is just a little off with Tegan's favourite witch friend, Rita.
L H Cosway creates such vivid imagery and thrilling drama. The cast of characters grows and with it comes more depth and compassion and conflict. I loved the quick pacing of the danger and action. There were times when I was frustrated with Tegan's wavering between Ethan, Finn and the newcomer, Ira Wolf. Multiple crises leads to some very important issues just waiting on the back burner until disaster strikes. The state of Tribane descends into a sickening chaos that leaves me nauseated. The climactic ending is tragedy, triumph, and predictability all rolled together. Will definitely have to read the final book, though.
Witching Hour brings us more mystery, more magic, and more mayhem. A major threat is back to take over Tribane, and this time, both sides of the city are being targeted. No one is safe!
I love this world! We are thrown right into the action, and once again, I was drawn in immediately. I can’t get enough of this series. There are twists and turns I didn’t see coming, and moments that keep me on edge. I found myself flipping pages as fast as I can so I can discover all of the secrets.
This story gives us so much more of everything I love. We get more of Teagan’s family history and who she is. We get more magical beings and spells. There is more chaos, more action, and more peril. We get up close and personal with all of the key players and they must fight for their lives from all sides. There is not just one threat when it comes to Teagan and the ones she loves and I love the unexpected alliances that form. and my heart goes to the ones who are hurt the most during the war.
As for the romance, there was trouble in paradise and it was driving me mad. I just wanted Teagan and Ethan to kiss and make up even though I understand the hurt and betrayal. There is a whole lot of pent up desire and the sexual tension is all consuming. I knew they would eventually combust, and when they do I was so happy!
The peace they find in each other is short lived when things go from bad to worse and it seems the end is coming. But then in an instant, everything changes and we are left with a cliffhanger that leaves you desperate for more. I’m diving into Sunlight because I need to know what happens as the final book plays out. I just can’t get enough of this series!!
This series just got so good. I stayed up until 3 am finishing this installment. It's not perfect, of course, for example, I'd totally do without the love triangle (of sorts). But in general, I really liked the story, and I enjoyed just how much it matured during the course of the series. I cannot wait for the last book.
Loved this third book as Tegan and Ethan’s relationship evolve, as events escalate in Tribane. Alliances are reformed as the struggle for power comes to a life-changing climax. I’m absolutely loving this series! 💜
The pace certainly ramped up in this book as it continues straight on from the previous book, Moonglow. Poor Tegan barely had a chance to breathe as she searched for a way to save her father whilst surrounded by danger from scorned vampires an evil sorcerer thirsty for power and her blood. With her magical powers developing and vampire Ethan still angry at her betrayal, secrets are revealed, but she has her work cut out to make peace with the vampire she cares so much for as well as keeping her friends and her city safe.
Witching Hour was a rollercoaster of magic, mayhem, betrayals, danger, friendships, battling supernaturals and a seemingly impossible love developing finally between Tegan and Ethan. The ending was a fire cracker, so I'm looking forward to finding out how things develop in the final book.
Things are heating up in the city of Tribane, literally. Crazy fog has been added to the mix. On the bright side, Tegan and Ethan seem to be making amends and fixing fences when it comes to their ‘friendship’. It seems a little petty to be at each others’ throats when there is so much evil taking over the city. Together they are stronger. Of course this is book 3, so we have yet another cliffhanger (the last one, thankfully), and all I can say is, oh my word! How on earth is this going to end? I’m on tender hooks, so much is happening, I know how I want the story to end, but I have no clue if that is even possible. Hint hint - I want Tegan and Ethan to have their happy ever after, the chemistry is palpable. Wonderful characters - good, bad, and downright evil, all battling for supremacy in a city without boundaries. I’m loving it. As much as I want to know what happens next, I don’t want the series to end.
I was expecting more crazy, kinda hard not to with Theodore in the mix, but damn Talk about intense. There were some things I was expecting to happen, but there were a couple that had me going WTF?!?! Thankfully the bad crazy and the good crazy balanced each other out and I cannot wait to see how everything comes to a head in the next book!
As for Tegan. Honestly, I truly like Tegan. Her life has gone sideways, upside down and turned inside out and for the most part, she is taking it in stride. Yes, she has her moments of doubt, frustration and outright despair, but I really like how she takes everything in and keeps going. I also like that she always tries to do the right thing for herself. Others may not agree, but she holds her ground and makes things happen.
A lot happens in this book and I like how everything, thus far, has played out. There were a few issues that were resolved, and I really liked how one in particular was handled by Tegan. The ones that are still open, well, I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how everyone comes out of this. As for the motley crew of characters ~ I have to admit that Ira is my favorite. I still got mad love for Rita and Flo, but Ira is totally awesome and Edwards was an awesome surprise.
Now it’s time to gear up for the conclusion of the chaos!
~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~
Witching Hour is book 3 of a wonderful 4 part paranormal romance series. This book packs quite a cliffhanger!
The action in Tribane is heating up, with major developments among the paranormal and human factions. True evil has become a force in the city, the Vampires have a new leader, and the Slayers are fighting to protect themselves and the human population. Tegan and her friends are dealing with shifting alliances, and facing new threats. At the same time Tegan is learning more about her powers, and her history.
I'm looking forward to reading Sunlight, the conclusion of the Blood Magic series. What will happen to Tegan and her friends? Will Tegan and Ethan finally find a way to be together?
Golly, I could not put this one down. In this one Tegan gets into trouble as usual :D
I totally forgot how much happens in this book. I love all the little angsty bits and the fact Ethan just can’t stay annoyed at Tegan long enough. Ira Wolf is just another amazing addition to the great character line up. There’s also laughter, passion and grief.
I won’t spoil things just go and read it! Can’t be read as a standalone.
This third installment is action-packed! More magie, tragic situation and explosions. It is a festival that does not leave a minute of respite to the reader.
A descent into the depths of Tribane, where chaos and madness reign. A city with a power struggle between vampires, witches and slayers. Our heroes find themselves forced into a strange alliance and have to behave themself, if they want to survive in a city becoming completely mad.
Tegan learns and uses more her magical powers. Succulent and colorful new characters also make their appearance. Ira in his human form is my favorite and i really enjoyed his transformation. With a special mention to Professor Edwards who brings an exotic to a novel full of supernatural characters.
But then, in all this fighting, Tegan's feelings become a confusing mess. Her heart falters between Finn and Ethan. While mine has already made his choice from the first volume! So, I found myself closing my eyes. I was not ready to embark on the romantic path that wanted to explore the author. Sorry Lorraine! I rebelled in the only way I could...by closing my book for fear of being disappointed. Very mature reaction, isn't it? Especially when it comes to fictional characters ... Lol!
I loved this sensation because I must be intensely immersed in a story and its characters to respond to that way. For me, it's a wonderful proof on the force of "The Ultimate Power" serie. Of course, my curiosity has taken over and I made myself be led, once again, by the nose by the author. I admit I was pleased with the turn of events until the last scene...Now, I fear again ...
A very nice, dynamic, imaginative serie. You really escape in another univers!
WOW!! Did that just happen? Yes, yes it did. I'm in shock at the ending. How different are things going to be from now on for Tegan & Ethan? If I'm being honest with myself, I knew it would happen, I just didn't think it would happen like that!! Now, let me just get to the review part of this. I love this book. Ethan pissed me off but very much so redeemed himself. Tegan, I hold no grudges against her. In fact I hold a special place for Tegan in my heart. I haven't gone through the same things as she has gone through, no. However, the feelings of what she goes through are feelings I've had myself. So, to me, it's really easy to relate to her. I love her character. The choices she makes may not always be the safest or even the right ones, but she perseveres through them, even when it hurts the most. How can you not relate to that? Anyhow, so since Tegan stayed, Ethan's been acting shady, Finn wants her but wants her with no strings attached to anybody else (especially Ethan). Ira, opens up and when he did, I was thinking to myself, "Screw Ethan & Finn, go for Ira!!" Hehehe, that only lasted for like a few minutes or so & killed that thought when we find out Delilah finds Ira 'interesting'. Tegan finally finds out the mystery of her bloodline. There were heartbreaking moments that literally changed Rita. It was sad. I felt sad, too. Tegan lost her best friend & although she still has hope of getting her back, she doesn't know how to reach her. This installment to The Ultimate Power Series is absolutely wonderful, intriguing, & suspenseful. I feel like a fiend wanting the next book so badly. I can honestly say, this series is one of my reading addictions. :)
When I finished book 2, I thought things were just getting interesting with Tegan and Ethan. I bought this book excited for some great tension between between them after the events of book 2. Instead, Ethan seemed to be relegated to a bitter, barely in the book side character and Tegan seemed to be moving on with a new love interest which was making me really uncomfortable. I was honestly ready to ditch this book about the halfway point but after checking out the reviews where people still seemed to be smitten with Ethan, I was intrigued enough to continue. I'm disappointed that the author decided to throw in a love triangle instead of building on the relationship that had been the focus previously so I guess we'll see what happens. Either way, now I have to unfortunately feel sorry for the loser.
This story just keeps getting better and better! The power struggle for Tribane has intensified and it’s all-out war. I read Withing Hour in a day – the story hooked me right in the beginning and didn’t let go until the end … which was a cliff hanger! But the fourth and final book in this series comes out next week. Yay! Thanks to the author for an ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review.
I don't really know what else to say... apart from.. this book was full of.. so much.. errm.. magic.. blood.. errm.. twists and turns, shocks and surprises and omg.. omg.. THE NEXT BOOK IS THE LAST.. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I read this book twice as Tegan's Magic, the third book in the Ultimate Power series and seemingly the shortest. Or, the book is so entrancing that you read it almost in one sitting making it seem much shorter than Sunlight or Moonglow.
The book started with a bang and is a pageturner. You can't wait to answer the following questions? Tegan and Ethan are back again. Ethan and several of his vampires join Finn and his slayers. Pamphrock and his slayers still fight against Whitfield and his vampires. Theodore is back and causing Chaos. Is he really helping Whitfield and the vampires or is he gaining power for himself?
Noreen is killed by Whitfield, causing Rita to go mad from grief and she uses her magic to lock everyone out. There is so much murder and chaos, it's hard to determine what's really going on and why. Why would Whitfield kill Rita's mother when he knows she's Theodore daughter and he will need Theodore's help? Does Rita succumb to madness? Does she truly turn to Theodore?
What is the real story with Emilia, Tegan's grandmother and a powerful witch of the house of Petrovsky? Why does she kidnap Rebecca and then use her magic to prevent anyone from saving Rebecca? After much killing and mayhem, there's only about 12 left to fight against Whitfield and the vampires. The twelve include vampires, dhampirs, slayers, humans and Wolf. The odds are overwhelmingly against them. Whitfield decides to make a deal with Theodore. Will Theodore help Whitfield and the vampires? Will Theodore allow Rita to kill Whitfield? Will Theodore kill Ethan, Finn and their small band? Can Tegan help them if it involves allowing Ethan to drink her blood? If so, will Tegan's blood give Ethan unimaginable power?
There are even more unanswered questions with this book ending in another cliffhanger. Will the final book in the series answers all remaining questions?
Merged review:
Tegan's Magic
SPOILERS.
This was the third book in the Ultimate Power series. I read Tegan's Magic two times before reading Witching Hour (Blood Magic, #3). Witching Hour seems shorter than the previous two Moonglow

After the cliffhanger of book 2 in the Blood Magic series, I was relieved to have quick access book 3 Witching Hour to keep me out of suspense!
The excitement really ramps up in this book as Tegan is caught up in a war with the vampires, Theodore is still on the loose and her dad is missing. To make things worse, she’s battling her feelings for Ethan but he’s not speaking to her as he blames her for his exile.
I loved this book even more that the first two and that’s saying something as they were epic. The action literally never stopped and I found myself reading late in to the night as I was so swept up in the adventure.
Tegan’s character has really grown throughout the series and I’ve loved watching her grow into a kick-ass heroine. Ethan and Tegan’s chemistry is off the charts and the supporting characters are really well rounded and likeable. Finn is one of my favourite characters in this series and it was great to learn more about him as he took a bigger role.
I can’t wait to get my hands on the final book Sunlight to see how it concludes.
Blurb Something is rotten in Tribane city. The humans are descending into madness and Tegan is certain that the sorcerer Theodore has something to do with it. Oh yeah, and she’s the reason Ethan’s been exiled by the vampires.
This would be fine if it weren’t for the fact that he’s renting the house across the street, which means she can’t escape his condemnation, nor the fact that she still has strong and intense feelings for the two-hundred-and seventy-seven-year-old vampire.
Tegan has her work cut out for her keeping those feelings in check while contending with a lust potion, a father who needs rescuing, and a vampire governor out for revenge.
