.45-Caliber #1
.45-Caliber Revenge
THE GRITTIEST--BLOODIEST--SEXIEST--FAST-ACTION WESTERN SERIES EVER PUBLISHED RETURNS!
How does a kid who can barely ride a horse, and who’s better with his fists and a team of mules than a six-shooter, think he can track and kill the most notorious killer on the Plains?
Simple:
Cuno Massey's thirst for revenge runs deep. Deeper than his skills. But when Rolf Anderson and Sammy Spoon killed the young man’s step-mother and his father, nothing would stand in young Cuno’s way.
Cuno Massey would ride through hell and never come back for...
.45-CALIBER REVENGE!
“Peter Brandvold writes prose honed sharper than a buffalo skinner’s knife, with characters as explosive as forty-rod whiskey, and a plot that slams the reader with the impact of a Winchester slug!”
--Johnny D. Boggs, Spur-Award Winning Western Author

2.5 stars.
A coming of age story where a young Cuno Massey sets off to find and kill the men that killed his parents.
I am a big fan of Brandvold's Yakima Henry series (written under his Frank Leslie pseudonym), but I felt that this was just an average start for this series. The plot is almost secondary as Cuno I wanders around and gets into scrape after scrape that barely have anything to with his main goal and aren't quite as interesting.
On the plus side, Brandvold knows how to write a great action scene.

Fantastic start to Brandvold's Cuno Massey series. I'm really looking forward to catching up to where I started with it:

This novel is the first of this series and I found it entertaining enough that I will buy and read more in this series. This author has written more books that I have also found to be good reading.
