Second Shot

Rate this book
A former SAS soldier is sent to the United States to help a friend who has got himself on the wrong side the law - and some very nasty gangsters - by dealing in firearms.

He's known as The Vengeance Man.

But when the weapons fall into the wrong hands an innocent child is caught in the cross fire.

And The Vengeance Man finds himself caught up in a dangerous world of corruption and murder which takes him from the back alleys of downtown Harlem to Tennessee.

Will this be The Vengeance Man’s last battle?

Or will he get a 'Second Shot'.

'Second Shot' is the follow-up to John MacRae's best-selling thriller 'The Vengeance Man'. It is an action packed novella of crime and revenge, perfect for fans of Lee Child and Andy McNab.

That sure was a fast moving novella of a story. Very different from the first book, The Vengeance Man. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. I am struggling to see where this book sits after the ending in book 1. I will now start to read book 3 and perhaps all will become clear ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was a bit confused about the fact that he was pronounced dead in book one, or at least dying in a chinese prison camp????

After reading book one - Vengeance Man, I was expecting another thriller full of suspense and twists. Not much of a story line but maybe the foundation for the third book in the series?

The Unit: a Vengeance Man thriller

MacRae takes you to a new level of mystery and the men who are involved in off the radar operations. He ties England, the Mofia, Feds, gangs, and old team mates altogether in ways you have to read to believe. Get ready for a ride you won't want to get away from until it is over. Thanks for another great read.

Same as first book, a good light action packed thriller novella. Not a sequel.
There is another book in the series, like the first action packed light reading. Once again not a sequel.

Fairly good

The second fairly short term of this second book was a fairly good read. The books are not going as well as I would like.

Second Shot

I thought the book started out in a strange way, but after I got into what was going on, I liked it very much.
