Integration: Phase One

Rate this book
Imagine a world where no monsters were ever thought of. A world much like our own, but with some minor differences. No magic, no zombies, no dragons. Ryan Reynolds is President. Then, one night, all of that changes.
Cade is just trying to keep his family safe in a world where monsters had never been imagined, but are now behind every other tree. Boarlocks, Cougaros, and Donkey Bears are trying to kill them every time they step outside it seems.
Cade must fight to level up and protect his family before something kills them all.

This is the 4th book by this author that I have read.

The first 3 books were his space opera, and I searched for more works after I finished those.
This guy understands how to write a good and rational story. Fiction does not always make sense, but this writer tries his best to make it do so.

As I read this latest work, I am gratified at how reasonably and rationally his characters respond to stimuli. It is a wonderful breath of fresh air to experience characters who exhibit such behavior. Many previous LitRPG books that I have read in the past have not passed this "acid test".

An added bonus of this work is the character dialog that flows dang near perfectly.
My thanks to this author for creating LitRPG that an adult can enjoy without cringing. :-)

*Friendly edit suggestion to author: Check use of the word "seen" vs. "saw". :-)
Best of luck!
