All Change on Crumcarey

Rate this book
Welcome back to the windswept shores of Crumcarey Island!

Peter Marshall
is sick of being sent on the assignments none of the other writers want. When his long-awaited tropical trip turns into a short stay on a cold, wet Scottish Island, he’s less than happy.

Bang goes the factor fifty…
Say goodbye to the shorts and sunnies…
It’s time to bulk-buy the midge-spray instead!

Still – re-writing Crumcarey’s pitiful guidebook shouldn’t take too long. Peter’s got a plan to give his local guide the slip, get the job done as quickly as possible, and then get off the island before the storm clouds roll in.

Rowan McEwan needs a break from her life in the city. She’s always adored living in Edinburgh, but now…

There seem to be exes lurking around every corner…
The office holds one very angry boss…
And she’s not sure what she wants to do with her life, but it’s definitely not this!

Crumcarey is calling her home… at least for a little while. All she wants is to avoid any complications of the romantic kind - so it’s just as well there’s precisely zero phwoar-factor at work on the island!

The last thing she needs is to be roped in as a babysitter for some idiot writer.
The last thing he needs is a local getting in his way.
All it takes is a nice warm bath and a dropped towel… and all bets are off.

A funny, feisty standalone story, All Change on Crumcarey is book 2 in the series. For fans of Heidi Swain, Holly Martin and Polly Babbington.

Sweet little love story

This is a charming series of short novels, set on a very windswept Scottish island, where everyone is, in the most unlikely fashion, extremely nice. On the face of it, they're just love stories, but they are also about people changing their lives for the better, and that combined with a joyous description of the island's quirks, raises them above the purely sentimental.

A lovely story

I really enjoyed this story about Rowan who has returned to the Island and Peter who has been assigned to Crumcarey to write the guide book to entice visitors. Rowan is Peter's guide while he is staying on the Island but the way they first meet is a bit embarrassing. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

A Guiding Light

Loved this second book with Rowan guiding Peter round the island, it truly makes me want to visit such a place. The centre of the village, the hotel come shop come cafe/restaurant just sound idyllic. Loved this story, off to buy the third book now.

When Peter goes to Crumcarey to update the island guidebook he almost lands in hot water at his first meeting with Rowan.
Rowan has been working in Edinburgh but is back on the island due to an unfortunate incident at work, she agrees to be Peters guide.
The islanders want the guide book to be a success and go out of their way to “help”! Crumcarey is a special place but Peter is not sure so it’s up to Rowan to convince him, Rowan loves the island and she soon finds a way. A fun story with an uplifting ending.

I absolutely love Beth's style of writing and it was great to be back in Crumcarey for the second time. Crumcarey sounds like such a perfect place to be.

Such a lovely close knit community. I love the banter that begins before Peter and Rowan. It's a lovely heartwarming story.

I like the characters on Crumcarey and like with Beth's other books, you get to revisit them again in the following stories.

I am always in awe of how Beth brings the characters to life as if they are your friends or family.
