The Art of Hypnotic Regression Therapy: A Clinical Guide

Rate this book
Hypnotic Regression Therapy, or HRT, is a type of hypnotherapy in which, following the induction of a good trance state, specialized suggestions are given to guide the client in reviewing and emotionally reframing earlier experiences that have either caused or contributed to the client's current symptoms. HRT is considered one of the most valuable hypnotherapy techniques available today, yet it remains controversial, partly due to inadequate training of psychotherapists and hypnotherapists which has contributed to numerous cases of false memory syndrome.

Magnificent insight on regression

I think this book covers more than enough background, theory, scripts and techniques. The emphasis on asking appropriate questions is a good point and it does this through the book because in hypnosis we go not want to be asking leading questions. I appreciate the full transcript of a session in the appendix and enjoyed it. I recommend this book to anyone already trained in hypnosis who wants to do regression efficiently and in a client centered way like the authors say. The book also emphasizes one technique is not for everyone and this is important so they offered many techniques to use. The four objective of hypnosis are insightful to consider and could change the way a hypnotist guides clients for full breakthroughs. Bravo for this book!
