As the Casanova of the Moretti Men, Kevin Merck spent his life capturing the eye of multiple women. His conquests were legendary. But life isn’t always what it seems. After saving his best friend, Ryan West, with a bone marrow transplant, he became a permanent fixture in the Moretti family. While everyone was getting their lives back, something went terribly wrong. Turning to Dr. Jena Turner for help, he underwent his own personal health crisis in private. Keeping his secret was a risk he was willing to take to protect those he loved most.
Kevin spent his days in the gym as a personal trainer and travelled the country as the face of a fitness franchise. Hot and steamy, he had his choice of women in every city. He had never met a woman he couldn’t charm the pants off, until he met the clever and smart mouthed Andi Allen. Her fiery personality and witty comebacks drew him in and wouldn’t let go.
After finishing medical school, Andi moved back to LA to be near her brother, Caleb Allen. She had a front row seat for Kevin’s conquests. Affectionately naming him “Deuce”, Andi wouldn’t let him forget his predisposition for multiple partners. Always at each other’s throats, Kevin and Andi set off explosive fireworks each time they crossed paths. If fighting was truly foreplay, these two were in for an amazing ride.
But when things seem too good to be true, they often are. People can be gone in the blink of an eye. In a minute, love can be lost and hearts can be broken. The Moretti family is rocked to the core. As they struggle to heal, can they find strength in their bond? Can they turn to each other or will heartbreak tear them apart? Is love enough to save one of their own?

OMG I always fall in love with this Moretti men! This one is an emotional and very entertaining story! This two characters are just made for each other! You are going to enjoy reading how they like to drive each other nuts... and how hot they are together! Every guy on this series is sooooooo mature, and I really like that! Kevin is not the exception on that! He knows what he wants, he accepts what is new to him and he gets with the program... I need a guy like that. And the women here are not helpless, Andi is a smart mouth! Can't wait for the next one! This alpha men are just so good in every cense of the word!...
OMG where do I start. I Loved this story Kevin may have been a player but he was funny, wonderful and a Loyal friend. His family was made up if his closest friends. Caleb had a younger sister Andi, when Kevin and Andi met they had sparks from the first meeting but fought the attraction thinking it was best to be just friends. Andi was the a one guy for her No sharing and Kevin was like the more in his bed the better. MJ Carnal took me on and emotional rollercoaster ride. I will say I cried so muched it was a totally ugly cry could not see to read, but I could not put this book down I HAD to know what happen next. That is a first for me, I read it in one sitting not going to bed till done.. Well done amazing job with this story. Worth ever star.
I had a friend who told me this book was going to make me cry. Well that was a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT!!! This book ROCKED ME TO MY CORE!!! MJ pulled more emotions out of me than Molly McAdams did in Taking Chances. A Must Read Series!!! I absolutely whole heartedly recommend this book!!!!
WOW, I LOVE ALL THE MORETTI BOOKS! However after I had read the first three my favorite was Taming the Playboy (Ryan West). I just finished Taming Casanova and it took me a little while to think about what I wanted to write and how I could put into words exactly what I thought/felt about this one. I can tell you that I was Speechless. This book touched my heart in so many ways and took me on an emotional ride. I now have a new favorite of the series (KEVIN FREAKIN MERCK). I couldn't wait until this came out and now that I have finished it I'm sad because I didn't want it to end. I don't want the series to end EVER. Kevin touched my heart in so many ways so thanks MJ Carnal. I am very sure this will touch everyone and you did a FANTASTIC job!
Out of all the books I read from this series, this by far is my favorite story.
From all the books, you felt how deep the friendship was for these guys and how much they meant to one another and they would do things for each other without question. When one of the guys meet someone, they welcomed that person with open arms and considered them family.
Amazing read yet again, this series has loyalties, friendship, passion, lust, heartach, fun and always a beautiful ending.
I love this bunch. Kevin is some guy despite his playboy ways hes a friend anyone would want, Andy is a feisty girl and he meets his match. This book takes you on one roller coaster ride of emotion.
I have enjoyed this series. There are four so far and love the way the author has tied all of them together. I shed a few tears while reading this one and the one before. Looking forward to more books by this author.
This story had me wanting to cry and literally had me laughing out loud. I loved andi and Kevin's story. It was a fast and hard headed romance for them, but oh boy was the story worth it
I came across Taming Casanova in the wee hours of this morning kind of by accident (listening to my smallest stir in his crib and praying to God he would sleep a little longer) but it turned out my 5am start was not in vain. For while trawling along Amazon, snuggled under the covers of my bed I came across a doozey of a book. I read the blurb with my bleary eyes and instantly thought 'yep, I'll give it a go'.
Now it wouldn't be like me (not) to go about everything arse about face as my dad would say, starting with the fourth book in the series and having no clue what happened in the previous ones. I was worried I would get lost in who was who, and who was a couple and who was related amongst the characters of the last few books but it was written with such an easy flow and terrific characterisation I knew exactly who was whom and the immense amount of caring and love that flowed through this great cast of players. I understood from almost the first page or two how they interacted with each other and how deep their connection within each other went such was the faultless writing of M.J Carnal.
Nothing gets me going more than the reformed man-whore who realises that one special girl is for him. For life. Kevin was my first introduction to the Moretti Novels clan and he completely roped me in. He was charming and hilarious and had a winning personality that often bordered on the inappropriate penis-joke side of things but that to me was what made him perfect and believable as the male protagonist (my husband loves a good lewd innuendo as much as the next guy.) The heroine to his hero- Andi was a great match. She was feisty and intelligent and was not about to be hypnotised by a quick smile and a wink, she fought tooth and nail to keep her feelings under wrap. Sparring partners before they were even friends of lovers made for some great banter and dialogue between the two. Loved both leads in Taming Casanova and loved the secondary characters that have obviously had previous books written about them. The whole family dynamic kind of made me jealous. How easy they loved one another, how they shared happiness as well as each others pain and how they banded together when the time was needed. Completely moving.
So I laughed through at least three quarter's of the book and cried snot-fuelled girly sobs for the rest of it. Seriously. First book to make me cry since Ruin by Rachel Van Dyken and that was months and months ago. I honestly thought I was going to have to stop reading for fear there was no H.E.A...I. Just. Can't. Handle books with no H.E.A. I Do not have the emotional maturity to deal with no H.E.A.
But I'll leave it to you to see if I finished out the book or not. So I just want to take this opportunity to thank my darling son for whom none of this would be possible. For waking his lovely mammy at the crack arse of dawn today because without him I wouldn't have discovered this wonderful writer and read her entire book in five hours. I'm finishing up this review and hauling butt over to Amazon now to begin this series how I should have started reading it...from the very beginning.
This has been my favorite in the series thus far. The group of friends in this series of books are entertaining and even after I could not finish book 3, I found myself still wanting to read more about them, especially a story mainly about Kevin and Andi.
This was pretty emotional and I really do think the author is great at creating wonderful, interesting characters. The story was intriguing and pretty straightforward since these characters had been dancing around each other for a while. They made sense together and I enjoyed seeing them finally come together. I also must commend the author for softening up (for lack of a better term) the finger action in her sex scenes. In all of the first three books, that activity happened often and it was described crudely, IMO. In this book, it still happened, but not as often and sounded way more intimate and appropriate for people who care for one another. I hope other authors can follow suit, because there seems to be a lot of finger pumping going on in the Indie author world that sounds crude and not appealing.
So, why only 3- stars? While the stories are getting better from this author and I do love the characters, I still think the delivery needs more improvement. I am still struggling to identify who is talking in conversations too often, which interrupts the reading flow. There are a lot of characters in these books, and introducing new people, giving them names, and only involving them in a scene and not the entire book is really quite confusing. I just didn't need to know the name of the flight attendant and her friend Kevin met on a returning flight early in the book. Not to mention the other names of lady callers to Kevin's phone a short time later. Maybe it is picky, but I still don't have all of our Moretti characters down pat, I don't need random people mentioned or identified by name mucking things up and making me wonder for a moment if a name mentioned is someone I should know.
Lastly, I guess I feel these stories have become formulaic in the delivery. Bad boy/man whore/commitment phobic guy falls for a strong, independent lady and it takes the guy a while to get the girl to believe they can be exclusive and that the guys wants them. The women are pulled to the men, but doubts plague them and this little cat and mouse game ensues until something tragic happens and they realize they cannot live without each other. It mostly works, but I feel like this is my soap opera type series . It's entertaining, and can be emotional, but mostly superficial and a guilty pleasure. Not sure if that is a bad thing entirely, just something that makes me keep the ratings at around 3-stars. Which means, to me, I like a book, but wasn't completely wowed by it.
We will see what Steve's story brings since he is not part of the man whore group and had been in a relationship for 5-years. The story could still be very similar, just no man whore this time.
Can Casanova be tamed? That is the question. Casanova takes the form of Kevin Merck, a male model with lots of women in every city - he likes women and likes to have a good time. But despite this playboy image he is one of the most generous and kind hearted men around. He donated bone marrow when his friend, Ryan West, got sick, which in turn has had a detrimental impact on his own health. His friends are his family, quite simply.
Andi Allen is the only girl with the potential of taming Kevin but Andi doesn't like the way he lives his life. They are constantly clashing over this despite the spark of attraction between them - there is a thin line between love and hate. Andi is determined that she is not going to fall for his charms until the one moment that changes her perception of him and she starts to see the real man underneath.
Just as things start to go right for Andi and Kevin, tragedy strikes and it could be the end before they have a chance to cherish the love they have found with each other.
This story not only explores the growing love between Andi and Kevin but also the inter-linking relationships between this group of friends - friends that are more like family. As the prognosis does not look good for one of their own, the friends bond together for one of the most emotional scenes in the book. This was a book that made me laugh and cry as the celebrate together, mourn together and support each other.
There can be absolutely no doubt that Andi and Kevin are in love. They are drawn to each other over and over. It just takes them a little while longer for their heads to realise what their hearts and their friends already know.
Taming Casanova is part of the 'Moretti' series and having never read any of the others, I wondered if I could sneak in and read this one and have a complete understanding of the relationships and the characters. Yes it was possible but I now want to find out more about the rest of the characters and relationships, so I'm off to read the rest!
Another winner from MJ Carnal. My second favorite in the series. Kevin and Andi are a riot. Their banter is some of the most humorous dialogue I have read in any story.
I think Kevin is the worst playboy of the series so far. He also flaunts it like crazy which makes for such hilarious reading. And I love how Andi just calls him out on his shit. Different from Jena and Caleb, thier love is like a slow burn. Yes, they are in lust from the beginning but I felt like love kind of took its time for them - which was so fitting for who they were.
I love how Kevin was so out of his element when dealing with Andi - completely thrown off his game. The flight attendant scenario had me laughing. The fact that he couldn't have sex with Lily because of Andi just made him so endearing.
When Andi and Kevin finally gave into their feelings - it was hot! Loved them together - opposites but they just fit so well.
And then the story became teary. What a dramatic turn that threw me off in a good way. Loved how this group of friends came together for Kevin. I cried for Andi. Then laughed again at Kevin's medicinal state of mind that had him spewing all kinds of funny dialogue.
So, the next story is about Steve and Lily. I love Lily so I am looking forward to the story. But, I have to say Steve has yet to win me over. My least favorite of the heroes for being so dumb to not see what other peope can clearly see about Amber. I did so love the last scene between Steve/Lily though. I hope he is the one that falls first and has to fight for her love! Bring it on MJ - cannot wait for May!
I LOVE this series, this is the fourth book in the series. If you haven't read the first three I highly recommend you do...you won't be sorry.
First there was Mark, than there was Ryan (my FAVORITE), than Caleb (he was a pain to both Mark and Ryan, but he got what was coming to him), now there's Kevin.
Kevin loves sex and women (usually 2 at a time) and always thought he would never ever want to spend his life with just one women. Dude is MEGA-HOT with a big heart. When Ryan was ill, Kevin stepped up to the plate and donated his bone marrow. Unbeknownst to all of their friends that action cause Kevin some major issues.
Andi is Caleb's beautiful baby sister and she was well aware of Kevin's reputation and wanted no part of being just another conquest to him even though she hungered for him.
Mark and Andi each gave as good as they got. They are great together and its awesome to watch Kevin fall head over heels in love with Andi. To know that one women truly could be enough for him.
This book has it ALL. I laughed, I prayed, and I sobbed, but through it all I fell in love with these characters all over again. Mark, Sophie, Ryan, Layla, Caleb, Jenna, Steve, Lily, Kevin, and Andi will forever be in my heart. I truly want to thank MJ Carnal for bringing me some of the best books I've read. I am so looking forward to Steve and Lily's story.
THANKS MJ for making me cry huge, ugly, sobs, yet loving every single minute of it. Ryan is and always will be my FAVORITE book boyfriend.
This is Kevin Merck's story and book 4 in the Moretti Series. I have enjoyed this series and have grown to love each one as each story progresses.
This story of Kevin and Andi is so full of friendships, love, and will have your emotions everywhere. Andi and Kevin's relationship is a love/hate type. Their chemistry is off the charts and you're just waiting for them to tear off their clothes and go at it, and trust me you'll get it! Kevin is known for his playboy ways and Andi isn't one to be another notch in his bedpost and makes it very clear. Kevin feels differently about Andi and she awakens something deep inside of him that he's never felt before. He just has to prove to her that he's not what he used to be.
Just when you think everything is falling into place, tragedy hits the Moretti family nobody is sure of anything. One thing with this family is that they are so close and nothing can break their bond. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time with a box of tissues and I wasn't sure if I could move on because you feel so connected with the characters and it was so heartbreaking to read. I don't provide any spoilers so you'll have to read it for yourself to find out what happens next! You won't be disappointed that's for sure.
I wouldn't recommend this as a standalone due to the revolving characters from previous books.
Well, this one was slightly better than the others. Personally, I have a little problem with men crying in books. It's ok if you have a strong reason. But to read about mean with tears in their eyes, or tears running on their faces, it's a little too much for me.
Kevin character was interesting, not as interesting as Ryan though. He is a bad boy turned good who falls for his friend's sister.
I was used to reading about over the top drama(from the previous books in the series) and this book has it all: illnesses, near death experience, wannabe girlfriends or boyfriends.
The heroine, Andi, saves the story as far as i'm concern. She is feisty and doesn't give up easy, although she has the hots for Kevin.
If it was ok in the beginning of the series to have all those characters running around in the book, now, it was too much. I had to concentrate to keep up with all the people, names and all, that kept appearing in the story.
I saw some amazing reviews so I stayed on course with this series, but I would've loved if the overall storyline became somehow different in all four books. It didn't happen, and that left me a little disappointing.
Anyhow, i would recommend this book and the others, just for the fun of it.
I liked Kevin. From the previous books he seemed to be the fun one in group and I like the fun one for they are always the one's who has a very interesting story and Kevin's story is pretty interesting. Funny, but interesting. Let's start off with the time he and had been Ryan's friend, co-worker and best friend. He had been a donor of Ryan's bone narrow because if you recall (that is if you actually read this series), Ryan had a cancer and Kevin, like I side was his donor and he survived.
Few days/weeks/months after said transplant Kevin then made everyone oblivious to the things he had been feeling, including Andi. From the moment he met Andi he liked her instantly but the problem is, Andi know's he wouldn't be a one woman man, even in his nightly affairs he needs 2 woman. But every badboy just needs the perfect girl to change their ways and Andi was it for Kevin.
Very brief spoiler, Kevin became weak and yeah you can kill me for spoiling and not making any sense and for giving this book 4 stars ;)
Kevin Merck: he's the type of guy who ladies get weak in the knees for. Good looking. Sweet talker. He does have a reputation of being a "man-whore", though...
Andi Allen: beautiful. Spitfire personality. But also a sweetheart.
These two have such electricity between them. They constantly bicker and pick fights with each other. They also have so much dedication and love for their family and mutual friends. Their "friend circle" is more like a family.
Kevin and Andi each know what they want. But will they act on it?
This was a very rewarding read for me. It has a great mix of everything. The humor had me in giggle fits! There's one part of the book where someone is medicated (no spoilers!!) ...and oh my the conversations are hilarious!
I really enjoy MJ Carnal's writing style. The characters are relatable, and the story lines are realistic.
Sweet baby Jesus Kevin doesn't hold anything back, "don't cover up. I'm gonna use this visual later." Kevin rubbed his hands over his shorts. "Jesus, Andi. Is this what you wear to bed every night?" Andi the girl may not want to admit it but she does get jealous, "it's been a long week. Just go play with your toy." Tears filled her eyes but she blinked them away. "She flew halfway across the country for what you've got, Deuce. Go prove you were worth it." Her door slammed." Kevin does have an honest bone in him blunt honest bone but still honest, "he grabbed her hand and pulled it to his boxers. "You did this to me. Not Sue, not Ashley, not anyone else these days. You have me so effed up. I haven't been with a woman since Lily." And the man possesses a caveman bone, "are you done?" Kevin stood from the table. "Is this mind eff over?" Without waiting for a response, Kevin pulled her off Ryan'a lap, threw her over his shoulder and headed for the stairs."
I was given an ARC for a honest review. Wow where to start! I honestly believe Kevin is now my favorite in this series. Kevin is a hunk and a personal trainer with a long list of conquest. Andi has always been the key to his heart but they fight all the time. Andi moved back after medical school to be near her family. In Hawaii they had an incident happen and they vowed it would never happen again. Neither one could stop thinking about one another. She fell for him hard and fast. Kevin starting hiding something and it ended up being very serious and landed him n the hospital. Andi didn't leave his side for one moment. This book is about unconditional love, passion, hope, dreams and faith. Keep the tissues near by because I normally don't cry in books but this one had me in tears with all the words and uplifting conversations they have. This is a must read series and amazing author!!

Wow! Let me start by saying I did not read this book in the correct order. Had I read the first three books first I would not have been so lost at the being. The book is written from a lot of different POVs. This is not a bad thing in anyway it just threw me for a loop the first chapter. Kevin and Andi! Yum! i really need to go back and read books 1-3 because Im sure there is a lot that leads up to this book for these two. I highly recommend this book but read the others first. Kevin is a model, pretty high in demand from what I can gather. Andi is an intern finishing up medical rounds? Kevin and Andi have a spitfire relationship. It's fun to read. I laughed at their snarky remarks. Cry when tragedy or almost tragedy hit. Boy did I cry, I had to stop reading a few times. And I smiled a lot. A must read. :)
Can I say WOW!! I thought Ryan West was my fav but Kevin Merck is def my new fav!!! But I love all the Moretti Men....
What can I say... This book brought me tears, happiness, tears of happiness, and laughter w a touch of warmth.....
Andi Allen, sister of Caleb Allen... And soon to be awesome doctor. Who's a spitfire of her own but yet keeps Mr Playboy Kevin Merck on his toes for sure. You know how they say when boys picks on you it means they like you. Well these two have that going times a million! So it wasn't hard to see that there was something there.
Just please read this book n the whole series actually . You would fall in love w this clan of crazies just as much as I did. I can't wait for Steven n Lilys story!!
Okay, I have to say this. Instead of focusing on the gorgeous cover models money should have been spent on editing. Line editing and some developmental editing. I want to give more than three stars and Ryan's book I gave four stars, but as a whole are just too many mistakes. When this author gets it right, she really gets it right. The feels that she pulled out of me when Ryan was dying or when they were deciding to take Kevin off the ventilator it got me, it really got me. She did it well. But there are too many tropes used in any one single book at a time, and each man feels like he's a facet of Christian Grey. I really think that with some editing if these books were relaunched they could be fantastic.
I love this book and its written so well, and I connect with Kevin and his sense of humor, ~~ he is such a smart a** ~~ but I couldnt connect with Andi. I cant see at all how she is anything like her brother Caleb. He's sweet, shes a witch !! This is ok though, Kevin and Andi connect and explode, but this is def my woman hater coming out here .... Kevin cracked me up, made me angry, and broke me in two .... He is a great character. The situations in this book are written so well by the author, and she has me crying my eyes out, which I rarely do. This series gets better with each story told !! I cant tell you enough how much I love it. I absolutely recommend this book and this series.
First of all if you haven’t read the other Moretti Novels you don’t know what you are missing. MJ Carnal pulls you in and makes you fall in love with her characters. I have to say that this book was my favorite so far in the series. I just LOVE Kevin!!! He is the Casanova of the Moretti Men who has spent his life being the playboy of the group, who just happens to fall for Andi. Andi is the sister to Caleb Allen who moved to LA after finishing medical school. She has seen firsthand what Kevin is like and is constantly fighting her feelings for him. This book will make you laugh and oh boy will it make you cry!!!! Can’t wait for the next Moretti Novel by the talented MJ Carnal!!!
I think I've just about recovered enough to write this review, although I'm not sure I can say anything that I haven't said about the last 3 Moretti novels. I've laughed, cried (god how I cried!) and wanted to punch things. For as long as I live I will always talk about and re-read these books. Kevin's story has a place in my heart as I have just gone through the same at Christmas with my grandad. There will never be another series that touches your heart as much as this series and I thank MJ Carnal for writing the wonderful Moretti novels! I cannot wait for Steve's story but I also don't want it to be the end!
5 huge brightly shining stars. Another amazing book in the Taming Series. I love this group or family. That's what these books are about. The love this family truly has for one another. This book was Kevin and Andie's story. What an amazing story it is. There is a fine line between love and hate and they prove it. This book will have you on an emotional roller coaster. Make sure you have tissues. There's happy times, sad times and times you want to just yell. This book is just as spectacular as the rest. It's full of love, passion and the sex is always a plus. Thank you MJ Carnal for another awesome book.
This series is Great..Kevin and Andrea have this love hate relationship with each other, well more love than hate they just haven't found that yet. Andrea is scared to give in to her feelings and for very good reasons. Kevin is the know Casanova of the group. He loves the Ladies and they sure as Hell love him. They give into their desire and the chemistry between these two is unbelievable. Will she be the one to make this playboy change his ways? This book was very emotional. Andrea and Kevin definitely keeps you on a very exciting ride though this book. But what a ride it is.... can't wait to read the next book is this series...
