Fascinating Bible study that really taught me a lot. I enjoyed the Hebrew and Greek phrases and the excerpts from scripture. It only took me a few minutes to read through each day and gave me a focus. I loved the tone of each chapter and would highly recommend!

Not a bad resource. It felt a little hit or miss with the "names" chosen and some of the additional scriptures listed at the end of each chapter often seemed irrelevant to the name. I got through ~26 names/chapters.

Coming off of a three-year study of the entire Bible, I was at a loss as to what to use to study again. I love commentaries because, while you don't need anything but your Bible, it is nice to have a commentary opened next to it to flesh out meanings of words and explain mindsets of the age it was written.
This study caught my eye but maybe I was looking for something more. The questions at the end of the short texts, yes I know there is an actual book Ann Spangler wrote on the subject, were very shallow and ME centered. I really expected more. Several of the verses she recommended for continued study were in the middle of a sentence or thought, and I felt that was poorly done.
I might try something by her in the future but for now, I have removed all her other works from my "want to read" list.

Wonderful study! Offers flexibility for adaptation for both individual and large group studies. Our church is using this (and the Holy Bible, of course) as the primary source material for our fall semester study. We have incorporated a Sabbath Day, a Shalom Day, and a Memory Day in addition to days devoted to the study of specific names of God. This is a wonderful, accessible resource for biblical students of all ages and interest levels.

Fantastic and encouraging study

I thoroughly enjoyed this study throughout the year. If you read one chapter each week, you finish in a year. That gives you time to think about each name of God through the week you study it. I loved the practical truths and has helped me understand even more what a great, awesome God we have.

The book has some good information in it and I used it for a Bible study, but 52 studies is really pushing it and I had to do a LOT of editing and adding to make the studies worthwhile. I ended up doing 20 sessions, the rest were just not noteworthy or enough to do a full session of study on. It's okay but be prepared to do some editing and additional work and you probably won't get 52 studies.

Every chapter was one of the names of God. The chapters were short but very inciteful. It was great to be able to take this in small bites and allow it to soak in. The kindle version allows me to be able paste the scripture reference in. We used it as a bible study, so i could pull up the scriptures as they came up. Loved this book and the conversations that it provoked.

I had read the bible The Names of God and really enjoyed it so I was interested in this study. I did enjoy it and it was very enlightening. It is long, 52 separate lessons, which if you just do one a week makes it a long study. Still I would recommend it or the bible very good.

This was a nice book. Quick and easy to read lessons about each name, accompanied by the appropriate Bible verse and passage. I learned some new stuff, and learned lots of beautiful and powerful names [attributes] of God.

I found the questions a bit repetitive, but even without doing the questions I loved this study of names of God. The passages and descriptions, looking at Hebrew and Greek were helpful, and I loved that there were 52. I did one ever Sunday this year and it was a great start to the week.

For me it wasn't a super deep study. But I really enjoyed getting to know the names of God. I would definitely recommend this to a new believer and/or some one new to bible studies. I did it with my grandma and we both found parts of it to be really encouraging.
