We loved this one for potty training. Have read it so many times. Used it on all 3 kids, eldest being 9 now. They were all potty trained before turning 2 and this book helped out.

Fun book. Cute pictures

We have read this a million times since this summer. G loves all the books by this author that he has read and this is his all-time favorite potty book. It's important to have a favorite potty book! He gets very invested in the protagonist baby's adventures figuring out whether or not to use his potty, and when he finally does, G gets super excited and yells YAY while clapping enthusiastically. It helps that that page has stars (he loves stars) all over it and it says "I DID IT!" which is one of G's favorite announcements, potty or not. Oops, is that a spoiler? Sorry. We definitely recommend this one to all babies becoming interested in potties.

8/15/2021 - Very cute! Especially loved when the baby was reading a book on their potty 😄😄

4/19/2024 - Madison loves answering the baby’s questions in the book. “Should I go in my potty?” “Yeah!”

4/27/2024 - Read again with Madi. She loves seeing the baby take their diaper off and says, “No diaper!”

Highly recommend. It’s the first book my daughter read out loud on her own...while sitting on the potty.

Rowan likes this book way more than he likes potty training. And I'm with him on that position. Who knows if we'll survive potty training, but at least we enjoyed this book along the way.

Not as iconic as “Toot”, but still a solid entry in the series. The Spanish translations add the fourth star here.

Patricelli's books are so darn cute. Elliott just LOVES the baby featured in many of her colorful board books, probably because of his adorable mug and because she can relate so well to his antics. This is the one potty book she has really fallen in love with, and makes us read again and again while she sits there so cute on her OWN potty. In fact, we were reading this one that one amazing day when she - just like the character she loves - actually peed in her little toilet!

This book is fantastic, especially when paired with the YouTube Video of it. It really helps bring the story to life.

The simplistic text allows even my four year old to retell the story to my 2 year old.

“Tinkle, tinkle, toot.” Can’t get enough of that line, same with my toddler.

Simple and short

Simple and short book for toddlers. It was priced right at free so I can't complain. I would recommend this for toddlers

The author knows her audience well. Our daughter can't stop flipping through this one, and she squeals every time we imitate the pee-pee dance sound effects. The first night it arrived, she made her mommy read it to her eight times in a row, and she laughed with delight every single time. Whether or not it will benefit her as she is beginning to explore the real-world potty remains to be seen, but it certainly can't hurt, and her absolute joy in reading the book, even flipping through it by herself several times in the days since it came in, merits full marks on her behalf.

I’m completely obsessed with this book—and my nanny kiddo absolutely loved it as well. It’s a really accessible book about the potty. Some toileting books use so many words and have an elaborate plot—but this one was more simple and developmentally more appropriate for my nanny kiddo. I especially appreciated that there wasn’t outside pressure—the signature main character just decided that he was all done using diapers. I also really appreciate the spread where he is sitting on the potty waiting for something to happen and getting a bit bored.

I think this book is FUNNY. When I choose this book from the shelf, I love to look at the page where the little kid says, "Bye, bye diaper." I ask my Mama and Papa, "Why does he say, 'bye-bye' to his diaper?" Then I start to laugh and laugh. I also like to sit with this book when I am on my potty chair. It has a great balance of text to picture ratio for a toddler. I love the simplistic drawings. Most of all, I am so excited that the kid in the story goes potty and everyone celebrates.

This is a very short book about potty training. I love that it has a lot of pictures. The baby is trying to figure out where he should go to bathroom at because he doesn’t want to go in his diaper. Finally, he figures out where to go and is able to use his potty. I like that there aren’t very many word on the pages. My 10 month old is more interested in flipping the pages in books right now, so it’s nice to not have to read extremely fast before I have the page flipped on me.

This book is amazing for younger kids ages 2-3. This helps the younger kids get interested in using the toilet on their own. This book is very simple and have good visual pictures. The children at my work love it and want it to be read to them 2-6 times. You can add your own words and ask the kids question while reading the book including like where does the dog go potty and should you go potty in your diaper? It's simple but you can celebrate learning to go potty as shown in the book.

Mommy only reads this to me while I'm sitting on my toilet, because it's a special book about learning to use the toilet. If I go to the toilet without it, I always get up and run around and find it and then come back, because I like to read it. Did you know the baby in the story is also reading a book about pottying while the baby tries to potty?

I love Patricelli's art style. This cute baby decides he doesn't want to go in his diaper anymore. We had a really rough time with potty training TJ, and I don't know if this book helped in any practical way (the baby has way more patience than TJ ever did) but it's still a fun one.

I really like this book! I live the simplicity of the illustrations and words. I feel like it makes using the potty easy to understand. We're about to start potty training with our son and I'm hoping this book will be an asset.
