Moonshine #2

Haytham,The Secret in The Rubble

The air grew thin as a sinister spirit sucked the oxygen from the room. She gasped for breath yet inhaled scalding wet air. Her head felt light; the room began to spin. Another gust of wind blew causing an abandoned floor lamp to topple over with a crash. She spun around and screamed when she saw Falcon standing directly behind her. Frightened, she nearly gave him a beating with the coveted book.
“What are you doing in here? Why did you sneak up on me like that?”
“I‘m not to let you out of my sight. Travis‘s orders.”
She hugged the soft book against her body in an attempt to control her shaking.
His impish grin melted into a reverent spirit as his eyes fell upon the book; and his face grew more solemn than she had ever seen it. His eyes went from the book and back on her.
“You found it?”
She nodded. He smiled but this time there was nothing impish in his grin.
“It’s been here all this time.”
“Twenty four years,” she whispered, and then, as if she’d just discovered buried treasure, “Want to see if the prophesy is hidden inside?”
Readers intoxicated with The Secrets of Moonshine are thirsty for more! In Haytham, Denise Daisy takes you on a cross country trip with Bronwyn and the rogue Falcon delivering another page turning combination of romance and suspense; all the while divulging secrets and introducing some bizarre new characters along the way. The Bronwyn/Travis forbidden love theme continues as Bronwyn finds herself face to face with the lovely Kenalycia after running for her life and accidentally being transported through the portal to Eden. It is there she meets the impious one himself, Abaddon, fighting off his advances as she fights her way back to Travis. Spellbinding, and full of surprising twists and turns, this forbidden love story is well on its way to epic greatness.

Again a great read. continued right where the first book left off. Great suspense couldn't put down. The characters are the best complex characters I've encountered in years Can't wait for December and the third book

Loved this book. I read it in one day because I couldn't put it down. I like a story that keeps me guessing and this one did that. This is the second in the Moonshine series. I often find that the subsequent books in a series are not as good as the first. That, however, is not true in this case. While I enjoyed the first book, this one is even better. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

After reading the first "Moonshine" book, I really looked forward to the second and only just found it by accident. I thought the first book was great. This one is amazing and I can hardly wait for the third and, I believe, final book. Denise Daisy has woven a fantastic story blending fantasy and fiction with so many twists and turns that I get a little dizzy reading it from page to page. The blend of paranormal, romance, intrigue and the requisite emotions that characters in these scenarios illicit is like an exquisite mosaic. Characters shift to become someone dramatically different and making you wonder are they still on the same side of good or evil.

This series has proven to be a very good read and I highly recommend it to those who might enjoy this genre. I happily got lost in this story and anticipate the finale to come.

If it hadn't been for the story itself, I would have stopped reading this novel very early on. The lack of editing for glaring errors was EXTREMELY distracting. I couldn't help but know that my second graders would have been amazed at the constant errors. What disrespect to the author of a good storyline.

This book was a lot faster paced than the other one. I think that this is going to be a great third book too. I just hope that what I think is going on with the heroine is correct. This was a free book and I am glad that I could read it. I thought it was a great premise in the first one and it will continue to be great.

I loved this book as much as I did the first one in this series but where in the world is the 3rd one because this book really left you hanging. Please put the next book out soon. I read the first one in one day and this one in one day. It would be nice if someone could tell me if the the 3rd one is out and I just can't find it.

What can I say about part two of the "Moonshine" series? It was amazing! Full of action, tension, friendship, and romance. I can't wait for part three to be released to know all of the secrets behind the mysteries surrounding this adventure.

See my review for Moonshine #1 for my opinion (why 3 not 4 stars) but oddly enough the Kindle edition of this book that I read was not called "Haytham, The Secret in The Rubble." It was just called "The Secret in The Rubble."

Good story, lots of action, a fun read. Story somewhat predictable and the poor grammar and spelling were distracting.

Great book!

Love the book series. Can't wait for the next book to come out. Makes one wonder if there really is another world just beyond that is only separated by a portal.

This was one of those books that I could not read fast enough to see the outcome. To then only be disaappointed with the ending of the book to the point it ruined the whole book for me.
