More than two million readers worldwide embraced the wisdom in Dr. Chérie Carter-Scott's book If Life Is a Game, These Are the Rules.
Now, If Life Is a Game... These Are the Stories illustrates the universality of Cherie's rules for being human. Filled with stories of hope, inspiration, and perseverance from fort countries, it shares the dreams that unite us as people.
Wisdom rings through every precious, heartfelt tale in If Life Is a Game... These Are the Stories, which includes passages by such notables as Franklin D. Roosevelt, Maya Angelou, and Desmond Tutu. The storytellers come from around the world, but the profound experiences they share are universal.
These stories are a balm for the tensions in our daily lives. Let one of them fill you with hope anytime you have a few minutes to spare. You will want to share them with your loved ones.
"If you believe peace is possible, If Life Is a Game... These Are the Stories is a must-read. It shows that we are truly part of the same family. Heartwarming stories connect us at the core of our humanity and open up the possibility for miracles." -Jack Canfield, coauthor of Chicken Soup for the Soul
"This is a book that will touch your heart and remind you that we're all one. No matter where we live on the planet or how difficult our situation seems to be, we have the ability to overcome and transcend our circumstances." -Louise Hay, author of You Can Heal Your Life and Empowering Women
When I first flipped through this book, I thought all of the stories were by famous people, because I saw one by Nelson Mandela. However, he ended up being the only person I recognized in the book. These were stories by "real" people. Which doesn't make the book bad; it's just not what I was expecting.
That having been said, this book was pretty schmaltzy and sappy. And I'm pretty sure at least one of the stories was total BS. But there were a few kernels of goodness here and there. I didn't hate it.
I'm sure if you like to read those "chicken soup" type books, you'd love this one.
