Ghostwise is a bewitching collection of strange and scary stories of ghosts and other supernatural occurrences from many different cultures. The storytellers in this collection include Mariella Bertelli, Alice Kane, Cathy Miyata, Stanley Sparkles, and many more. Prepare to meet spirits who reach across the shifting border that separates the dead from the living and heroes who overcome evil with a courage they didn't know they possessed. Beware of the monsters whose bone-chilling stories will haunt you time and again. And, listen carefully to the voices within each you, too, can become ghostwise.
This book was in the Adult section of my library, so I wrongly expected it to be more creepy than it was, definitely. Unfortunately, it was geared a lot more toward children, with many of the protagonists of the stories being young and most of the stories being mild, not spooky at all to the normal adult, or downright silly. It still had its charm though, and it was good for what it is. I could see myself reading stories from this book to children to give them a bit of a spook. I am sure they would enjoy it very much!
This is one of my first collection of ghostly tales and it continues to be one of my favorites. The stories are creepy and very retellable. If you are looking for some great ghost stories to share with others, you'll be reaching for this book often!
I didn't realize this but this book is like for children or to read to children. Which was okay by me because usually more grown up ghost stories scare me. At least if I read them at night. Overall this was a good book.
