Regardless of your beliefs, this is a beautiful area with a rich history. It’s a shame there is constant conflict in the region.

There are some great pictures in this book including one with the only proof positive evidence of Pontius Pilate. His name is on a piece of limestone block from the ruins of a theater. There is a wonderful section on the Dead Sea Scrolls, as well as many other locations. People fascinated with the Holy Land will love this book.

I enjoyed the history of the ancient lands in the Middle East. The recent archelogy was presented in detail. You learn of nations, cities, Generals, and Kings of Israel. You see historical dicoveries from the Bible. The Dead Sea Scrolls has a part in the book.
