This book is full of short stories of wild monkey sex, each story around maybe 10 -15 pages long and each book filled with up to maybe 20 authors. Each book can have M/M, F/F, M/F, BDSM, cheaters etc.. because anything goes in these short stories. This is not a romance book, it’s a book full of erotica fun. I myself don’t too much connect with these type of books, basically I don’t like just sex I want a story and a romance connection between a couple but a few of these books leaves me very surprised at times. Plus, this is a good way to get to know an author before you buy a full length book by them and that’s why I read them.

Suite Encounters is full of hot hotel hookups that might leave you saying. Wow, I can’t believe they wanted to do that and that it actually worked LOL.. I did find this book on the hotter side. One of the stories Dirty White Envelope, left me speechless and wondering what in the world goes on in people’s minds LOL. The thing was, it worked for the couple and that’s what love is all about, finding what works for you and your partner no matter how funky it sound.

Again these types of books are just for fun monkey sex. If this is your kind of thing please add this to your reading list.

I am new to Rachel Kramer Bussel's work and while some of the stories seemed more sweet, with less heat, I do love the concept of the anthology and I enjoyed the variety of hotel rooms visited and types of relationships explored. It was not a one note, romance anthology.

I particularly enjoyed "Selfish" by Donna George Storey, "Soundproof" by Emily Moreton, and Surrender with a Twist" by Suleikha Snyder. Of all the stories in the anthology Snyder's story and "Return to the Nonchalant Inn" by Erobintica seems the most like a romance story or they could work in a larger romance short story or novella.

I am not sure if I just like my erotic stories longer or if this publisher will only printer tamer stories, but I was left feeling like I had been lead to believe fireworks were coming, but the fireworks fizzled. In a few of the stories, I was left slightly more turned off than turned on, but overall the stories were interesting and enjoyable, if only lukewarm on the erotic part of the deal.

Over all this is a fun read and Rachel Kramer Bussel's story at the end, was a surprise and a delightful way to end the walk through the halls of many hotels. Oh, if only the walls could talk.

I reviewed this for Erotica Revealed.

Since I’ve been with Erotica Revealed, I’ve learned that I’ve pretty much come late to the party of the world of quality erotica short fiction. There are so many wonderful writers out there that I’ve yet to encounter, and every month the list grows. When I read and reviewed Frat Boys (edited by Shane Allison) the most standout story that struck me as hot – and different – was Rachel Kramer Bussel’s “Stripped.” I loved that story, which had a gender fluidity to it, and a full narrative alongside the hot erotic content.

Getting a copy of Suite Encounters to review, then, made me smile in anticipation. I’d had that one small dose of Rachel Kramer Bussel’s work, and I couldn’t wait to see what one of her collections would bring.

Short version: Suite Encounters is a fantastic collection, with a range of stories and characters I rarely encounter in an anthology. The theme is tight – hotels, which our editor lovingly discusses in her introduction as a kind of erotic tabula rasa. Taking a narrow theme and collecting authors who can spin that theme into such a wide range of stories is a mark of a great editor, and Rachel Kramer Bussel does just that.

The stories themselves are all quite short. Usually, and I’ve mentioned this before, short “scene” pieces aren’t typically my favorite. I like my erotica with a very strong helping of narrative and character (and character development). If there’s any flaw in the collection – and I wouldn’t say there is, really – it would be the brevity of some of the tales. I often wanted more.

Yet somehow, in the majority of these tales, short is still very much sweet without cutting down on depth and variance of character. I think it’s the wide range of the characters that really captured me. Married couples looking to rekindle their spark (“Unbound at the Holiday Inn” by Lily K. Cho), night counter clerks with crushes on rent-boys (“Night School” by Valerie Alexander), 70’s blacksploitation actresses making a comeback (“Stiletto’s Big Score” by Michael A. Gonzales) – it felt like every story had a fresh character for the reader to enjoy. Age, race, kink level – the variety here was superb.

I feel I should point out a favorite or two, but in no way does this mean the other stories were lesser. “Tailgaiting at the Cedar Inn” by Delilah Devlin was scorching hot, and I loved seeing the situation turned around to empower the woman involved – who takes control of a situation with two hot fellas interrupting her sleep on her way to a new life. That her new life isn’t one she’s looking forward to makes the scorch factor rise, and the reversal of her attitude was a lovely one-two punch amid the sweat and sex dripping from the page.

On a completely different note, “Return to the Nonchalant Inn” by Erobintica was a lovely piece with a man and a woman reminiscing on the erotic adventures of their youth – but from a vantage point of an older, wiser – and still sexually heated – perspective. I think the inclusion of this story, with a woman confident and content in her mature body, was an absolute win for the collection – and a very strong reminder that eroticism doesn’t die with the passing of years.

Lastly, I should mention that the final story in the collection – contributed by the editor herself, leaves just the right note ringing in the mind of the reader. “Special Request” spins a tale of a woman at a high priced hotel who is known for her ability to acquire anything the guest would like – but when the guest would like her – and a half dozen or so others – for an orgy, is she up for the challenge? Given the collection, I daresay you can answer that question, but it doesn’t make the journey any less hot or enjoyable.

It’s interesting – I’d never really considered hotels a particularly intriguing location. It may be that I traveled too much to really think of them that way, but after a month with Suite Encounters, I may need to change my mind.

Traveling for work every week, staying at hotels becomes boring after a while. Somehow, when the hotel is for a vacation or with a stranger, it changes. Why is hotel sex hotter than having sex at home? In Suite Encounters, the reader is treated to twenty short steamy stories. Some are kinky; some are sweet. The editing is done by Ms. Kramer Bussel. She also holds the pimp spot with her story, Special Request.

Since this is a Ms. Kramer Bussel edited book, the expectation is high for the story quality. She meets expectations with each story tightly written and well edited. Many of the stories were four paddles quality. It averages out to three paddles because a few of them were just bizarre. One in particular felt completely non sequitur. There was no beginning or meaning to one of the stories. All the reader knows is a man and a woman are in a room together and we don’t know why, other than the man needs to masturbate and she regrets asking him since she knows him. The reader doesn’t know the why and the result of the encounter leaves the reader confused and dissatisfied. What is the purpose of that story?

A few which are notable are Selfish by Donna George Storey, Business Expenses by Elizabeth Silver and Special Request by Rachel Kramer Bussel. Each of these stories contains something in common. They let the kinky flag fly. The kinky role playing in Selfish is engaging and easily realistic. This could be any woman trying to spice up her life and take a little pleasure for herself. It’s sexy, sensual and believable. The characters are engaging and the story flows smoothly.

In Business Expenses this is yet another plausible scenario. This is more fun with a Domme taking on an inexperienced male who takes a bite of the forbidden fruit and wants another taste. The naïve male escort learning about submission is a voyeur’s wet dream. The ending leaves it teasingly open for future sexy encounters.

The last story is a hard working submissive’s wish come true. To be the one who is always fulfilling requests and taking care of others, for it to be flipped around is a heady sensation. Ms. Kramer Bussel creates a swinging party yet only reveals the first hour of fun. The bondage, blindfold, multiple partners are all an overload of sensations. If only the reader could join in for the rest of the evening and through to the next morning. It is a fitting end to a book filled with hot hotel confessions. This collection of erotic stories is recommended for kinky readers who enjoy clandestine hotel sex.

I don’t do any business traveling, so when I stay at a hotel, it is for vacation. Hotels for me are always a treat no matter how fancy or plain the rooms might be. To me, it is always like a special adventure, whether the purpose is romantic, sightseeing or family oriented. The hotel stay always has a certain magical thrill. So maybe I was predisposed to liking Suite Encounters, Hotel Sex Stories, Edited by Richard Kramer Bussel and like it I did. The stories blurred the lines between fantasy and reality with likeable characters you would love to voyeuristically peek in at.
The book is a wonderful collection of 20 stories that touch on all types of hotel play. There is romance, fantasy role-playing and hot play as you wander down the corridors that Rachel has pulled together. The hot times don’t discriminate between fancy exclusive hotels, bed and breakfasts or on the road travel lodges. Each story offers a torrid flash at an away game experience.
In Soundproof Emily Moreton thrills you with the through the wall sound effects as provided by the couple in the next room. In Feel So Dirty Andrea Dale shows us what can happen when monogamous friends share a steamy experience but not each other. And Rachel herself supplies us with Special Request about a very special concierge and the very special job she does when fulfilling a guest’s most intimate desire.
The only disappointment with the book was that the stay, like all vacations, ended much too soon. I highly recommend this 5 star collection. If you are looking for something hot, you will find it here.

The introduction opens with, "Hotel rooms are magical." They are, and so is this delightful Cleis Press anthology. The stories I'd like to climb inside and inhabit include "Travelodge Tess" by Justine Elyot, "Night School" by Valerie Alexander and "Please Come Again" by Tenille Brown. For me, a veteran of Catholic schools, the priest-prostitute role play in Ellie Vokes' "Dirty White Envelope" pushed all the right buttons. This collection also contains stories by some of my all-time favorites, Anna Meadows and Andrea Dale.

Suite Encounters is an erotica collection that encompasses all sorts of sexy ways people make use of hotel and motel rooms, with a variety of gender pairings, sexualities, and scenarios. Ages, locations, and backstories vary enough to offer a little something for everyone, but not so much that the changes are jarring. Not every story was for me, but the book is one of the better erotica collections I've read.

Hotel sex. With a random stranger, with the person you love, with someone you hate (but not so much that sex is out of the question), and even love with yourself... whatever your slant, this book pretty much has a story that caters to you and does it in a way that is equal parts dirty, personal and erotic. Each story speaks to what is so appealing about hotel sex. Something random and wanted and full of possibility. Rachel Kramer Bussel has a knack for gathering together work that is as smart as it is delicious. This anthology is no different.
