I wouldn't say i'm a fan of the books by J. Roux, yet I can't bring myself to stop reading them! This is my 4th and I don't see myself putting a stop to buying more! I can't seem to help myself. It's not as if there is some great love story in her books... it's pure erotic in speed reading form, without knowing how to speed read.
This book reads like any J. Roux books is -- a little like what I think reading a book on cocaine would feel like. It comes as you fast... there are no setups, not warmups... it's very wham bam thank you mama and it's done. The POV jumps around like a 3 year old on a sugar rush. The sex is a little like reading stereo instructions... it just is, foreplay is for romance so expect none. There is no romance what so ever in the book... in fact I don't think I can even say I like any of the chars. And everyone is having sex with everyone... any mixture you think, yeah, it's in there.
Master's Ecstacy is the second in the series and pretty much picks up off where book one ends, plus a little bit of time. I didn't like this one as much as the first book, but I was able to read it a little better and not get upset with the fact that master has to have sex with everyone and everything. Again, every books I've read by J. Roux pushes my buttons and pisses me off in some way, again, this book is no different, but thanks to the first book it didn't upset me as much I knew what to expect with this group.
In this book you meet Dante, and he's so not nice... I wouldn't want to come across his path in the middle of the day. The fact that Wrath came from under his thumb, blows my mind a little. This book was suppose to be about Ecstasy, but he has less parts in the book than most of the other pets. That was a bit of a disappointment and I see his new "power" coming at odds with Master.
The next book is about Dante and as much as I tell myself not to buy the book... I just can't help myself.
