First book was disjointed, and I was really annoyed with both main characters. The only interesting people were the secondary characters, and they were too busy being Unique to be realistic. 

I'll start the second one because it's a friends to lovers, but I'm not hopeful.

And I had reason to not be hopeful. Matt and Amy are stupid people, doing amazingly stupid, embarassing things to avoid realizing they love each other.

I enjoyed these two books very much. The characters were fun even if they were frustrating from their lack of courage to just say what was on their minds. Lies snowballing, misunderstandings, tension. All enjoyable.
