La luna tra le nuvole, La donna in rosso chiaro, L'albero demoniaco e Il matrimonio della volpe sono le quattro storie presenti in questo ottavo volume. Come sempre, tutti i capitoli raccontano ottime storie, ben scritte e ben strutturate.

L'albero demoniaco è la storia che mi è piaciuta di più. La trovo semplicemente stupenda per la sua complessità e i suoi richiami alla letteratura classica. Per un lettore avvezzo alla letteratura giapponese, L'albero demoniaco non può non riportare alla mente il misterioso racconto di Sakaguchi Ango, Sotto la foresta di ciliegi in fiore, da cui, senza ombra di dubbio, l'autrice ha preso spunto per creare la sua personalissima storia.

Continuo a pensare che un'opera così bella come La corte dei Cento Demoni non abbia la giusta popolarità che le spetterebbe, almeno qui in Italia. Date un'opportunità a questo manga, non riuscirete a non farvi stregare dal suo soprannaturale così ricercato e sapientemente disegnato.

I'm enjoying the continuation and the fact that whilst the stories are episodic in nature the characters continue to develop, move on to new stages in life and build on and recall previous experiences. A spooky but interesting and thought provoking read.
