Offers the provocative recollections of Maria Theresa Alligiamento--a beautiful vampire--as she journeys from eighteenth-century Italy to modern Los Angeles--and details her conversion, her seductive charms, her desire to know the world, and her thoughts on the power of revenge. Reprint.
Finally was able to finish it. Slow start, and then it sat around for a couple months, but finally got traction a couple nights ago. Probably don't ever need to read it again, but will keep the book around for nostalgia. It does make me want to read Vampire Memories to get all the background and references.
The story was interesting until the 200-page mark. Then it went downhill as the story intersected the events covered in the first book (which I have not read). The main character began acting in an uncharacteristic manner before being knocked out during what must have been the climax of the first book. All in all, it was disjointed and disappointing.
