Sex, drugs and money. Preston Tyler's fight to save his company from a hostile takeover is not your average business deal. If Preston plays his cards right, maybe he can not only save his company, but win back Maggie's heart as well.
A born lover of soap operas, mystery and romance, bestselling author Clara Grace Walker is on a mission to bring glitz, glamour and continuing storylines to the world of romantic suspense. If you’ve longed for a Dynasty reboot also, her Glamorous, Dangerous Romance novels are just the thing to satisfy your craving. It’s okay. Your secrets are safe with Clara. Her unique blend of genre-blended fiction makes her a fresh voice in romantic suspense, and has resulted in multiple appearances on Amazon’s bestseller’s list. Clara started writing early and knew her true calling as an author by age 9. The second-born of five daughters, she made her world debut in an army hospital somewhere in Texas. Raised in Michigan, she was both a rebel and a lady, as at home playing dress-up as she was climbing trees. And always with her nose in a book. Convinced reading kept her daughter out of trouble; Clara’s mother encouraged her reading. Mostly her mother was right about that, but oh, the stories Clara was busy imagining.

Preston still loves Maggie and Maggie thinks she doesn't love Preston, but is still attracted to him. She thinks he'll be like her father, and put business first, which is why she left him. She is the largest stockholder in his company, which scumbag Andy Clarke is trying to take over. Worse yet, Preston's primary lawyer, Rod, well-named as a womanizer and jerk, is spoiling multiple aspects of Preston;s and Maggie's lives as well as a number of other character's. The book was full of creeps and icky people, but there were some good people, too. It was fairly suspenseful near the end. I somewhat enjoyed the book--it was fairly well written, but not my favorite genre. I was annoyed by a few flagrant mistakes.

This book had me from the outset and I liked the fact that you got a perspective from all the major characters. I felt sorry for Tarrylyn but she caused her own suffering and her father got what he deserved at the end. I also thought it fitting that Rod and Aunt Patrice ended up screwing each other over. It was a fitting end to their manipulative machinations. I'm just glad that Preston and Maggie finally realized they belonged to each other. To bad it wasn't until her life was in danger that things were made right.
This was a quick read - it was a good read, it just needed a bit more substance and a little less fluff/filler. The characters were fun and relatable and the plot was good, however, the author used a bit of filler to make the chapters longer. There was also a lot going on at times that left the reader wondering how it was all going to fit together in the end.
Preston and Maggie make the perfect couple, but they need to figure that out on their own....again...Enter Rod and the trouble begins. Then the author gives us a barrage of characters that you aren't quite sure what their role is and the reader starts to lose interest a bit.
I loved the setting of the book (FL) and the author seemed to know what she was talking about regarding the highways, the Keys, Miami and other areas. It felt like the reader was right there with the characters.
Overall this was a good read and I will be reading the others in the series to see how the author continues things. The biggest thing (that is my own pet peeve) is that the author ended the book with "The End".....I don't know why, but this has always bothered me and it did here too...
I found the book a little confusing at first with all the introduction of characters. The story did not get started until 30 percent into the book. It was a slow start
