I liked that it coincided some with the movie, the jams, the birthday party, and the job offer. This book did push off importance of family and hard work.

My Review: I just recently picked this book up even though it was to transition into Despicable Me 2 years ago. Munchkin loves the minions and especially this movie so figured this would be a fun one. I like how it did have a story outside of the movie plot line, though it seems like the images were taken from early storyboards for the movie and they ended up going a slightly different way in the final production. It is a great level 2 book with some new more complex words and sentence structure but still with the fun characters and story that will keep young fans reading.

It was great. I loved it because I like minions... Because the minions are silly.

Meet the Minions, also adapted by Lucy Rosen, tells the story of minions; but not really. It is a hyper shortened version of the first 15 minutes of the movie. The part before Gru becomes a good guy. May I just say how horribly digitized this book is. It's like a really really bad zoom job. The minions were not done any justice.

The story in this was okay, but I couldn't get over the pixelated pictures. Whose idea was that?
