- Her doujinshi circles are called M2 COMPANY and XX's. - she likes fairies and foreigners - Her nationality is Japanese, and she's not Jewish, the pen-name is meant to be funny - shota-complex
(Once self proclaimed a "Russian living in America", but at the same time she also claimed she's 14 years old...so that was obviously a joke.)
cute stuff. I like that there's also action in it. some of the story isn't very logical, and Ukyo is quite the pervert, but don't take it too seriously and you'll find fun in it. I never read yaoi before so it was a pretty good introduction for me.
Cute enough, if you like goofy yakuza romance (and I do, under the right circumstances), but it needed at least another chapter and ended very abruptly.
I enjoyed reading Noodle Shop Affair. It is a simple story of a kid trying to support himself and his ill father against the yakuza who are threatening to make his life hell. Then along comes a dashing guy, who is infatuated with the young shop owner because he fed him during a rough moment in his life. Cute.
Also, the art style was well done, in general the cover page art styles do a good job of showing what the manga art will look like, but occasionally the cover is misleading. With Noodle Shop Affair,if you like what the cover shows, you will also enjoy the internal art style.
However, the cover is misleading in the type of manga that this was. It is rated 18+, but I would say a fairer rating would be 16+, with very minor mentions of having any type of romance between the two guys. Everything that could be loosely rated 18+ was what the older guy was thinking in his head... so don't get your hopes up for sexy times.
Other disappointments included that the second volume was never published... so you don't get to find out what happens between the two after the shop owner kid [whose name I cannot remember] finds out the dude is the successor of a yakuza gang. However, you can find it online through illegal publications, if you really enjoyed it and want to have some closure with the story.
Also, how old is the "kid" supposed to be? He acts and looks like he would be in high school, but he is running a noodle shop on his own and had been for some time. If anything he would be right out of high school. It was borderline fetishization of high school kids.
Not your usual yakuza story. This one has a good time poking fun at itself and the yakuza subgenre in yaoi. The uke doesn't look as young in this series as in some of her other works.
I just love yakuza love story! These r not too violent like some other yakuza stories..more sweet & cute & funny! I wish they translated this manga faster coz I really want to finish reading it!
