The Slave Queen

Rate this book
This is a bawdy erotic tale of the 11th century where nobility’s sexual excesses know few bounds. Women must submit to the vile uses men make of their bodies. The Queen's Slave is a novel of intense bondage in a fantasy realm. In it, Dakin, an evil enchanter, Orcs and a dwarf seek revenge on the king. Juliana, the future queen is put under a spell of illusion as she is taken to the Dark Forest. Merek, a rogue, sets out to rescue her. Can he do so before Dakin takes her innocence or, worse, force her to pleasure all of his men, including the dwarf, Cronkar? Will Juliana find that rope and submission excite her beyond imagination? If she is rescued, will she be able to live the life of a queen with an unimaginative lover or will she seek out the dungeons below that are in all castles to satisfy her jaded lust? First, there was the King’s Dungeon; now, Powerone brings you more intense, historical bondage in Slave Queen.

Powerone resides in the hot weather of Chandler, AZ. where scantily clad females forever perk his imagination. He captivates readers by bringing them into the minds of both male and female lead characters. With vivid description and rich detail, Powerone draws readers into a world often found only in fantasy and leaves them aching for more. All of his novels are erotica and not for the faint of heart, most involve bondage and submission, sometimes in very graphic detail.

Powerone has been publishing e-books before they were called that. His first book, "Teaching the Au Pair to Submit" was published in 2006 when most electronic books were PDFs, and it is still a best-selling novel on Amazon to this date. Since that time, he has published over 150 novels with sales over a million dollars. An award-winning amateur writer before his first novel, he has been writing since 2000, and you can still find over 150 short stories on various free internet story sites like Literotica, BDSMlibary and others.

The Slave Queen is my second encounter with this author, one I was actually able to finish. It has good points, bad points, silly points even some sort of contraption that has sticky/piercey points.

I found myself thinking this storyline is reminiscent of a video game. It's an elaborate, kinky capture the queen story that reads very amateurish and juvenile. The author seems to be stuck on the V-card heroine who makes a 180 once she's discovered her kinky side. It's mostly porn with a little bit of plot and even the characters are depicted as extreme, caricaturist.

The scenes and his descriptions of the equipment are very good though there were continuity errors in a couple of them. What's lacking is creativity when describing the actual sex. You can be sure someone's throat is getting fucked multiple times usually by multiple people and THERE WILL BE ANAL. But... it's basically the same sex scene regurgitated over and over. Also, for as much as gang bangs are threatened, they were sorely lacking and not all that exciting except the final one which was decent.

However, my biggest issue is the high prevalence of the word 'gut'. Now, I realize part of this is supposed to be dub-con-slave-capture fantasy but it's still housed under the erotica umbrella and there is nothing erotic about the word 'guts'. Let me repeat that: GUTS AND INNARDS HAVE NO PLACE IN EROTICA! GUTS ----> NOT SEXY. The antithesis of sexy, actually. At one point I started to get a little queasy. I'm pretty sure this is not the desired goal of an erotica writer.

In general, it's extremely repetitive in its verbiage usage with jumping jack cocks, spasming holes and the aforementioned 'guts'. There are also random perspective changes that are just annoying. The editing is pitiful. Nevertheless, I think it's a marked improvement considering I was at least able to finish this one. That's saying something.

I'll give it 2.5 Stars for the BDSM scenes. Just beware the dreaded 'guts' word. Try skimming.
