When I read the blurb for this and agreed to read it and give my honest opinion. I hope the author realizes I do just that. Honest. I am as tactful as I can be. I know this is a long process of written work here.

Positive

The characters were very realistic, I loved the main one, he was well thought out and instead of being a flat character he became a 3D rounded person to me in my minds eye.

The events that took place, excellent.

Negative for me:

I felt the storyline jumped around a little too much to keep my full attention. I did make excuses sometimes to leave the book and go off and do some chores. I came back refreshed to it then.

This book could be a GREAT book if worked on more and took on board some of the reviewers thoughts that I have read below this authors book.

It was OK. too smoozy. no deep meaning or any detail for any of the events. the characters are very likeable, and the good guys beat the bad guys, but just too smoozy.

Found it difficult to follow in places, jumping from one scene to another and different time frames and people. Also seemed to have problems deciding at times whether it was a romance or a thriller.

bloody good read

Well written. Well developed characters. Dramatic tension in the plot. Lots of twists but no undone resolutions. A good read!

Woohoo! That was my feeling after reading "Across the Pond". Kenny Luckett has created a thoroughly believable universe and protagonist in this old-school action adventure story. I'm a fan of Clive Cussler and Tom Clancy and Vince Flynn, so this fit right in with those authors. Luckett has a knack for writing exciting action prose that feels realistic and keeps your attention. I'm gonna check out more from this author!

Tear jerking

I'm a mystery nut, this was no mystery. However it was a good international, political intrigue with loves and tragedies. Good spirited story line and well written. Glad I read it

I really liked this book! I'm not sure I can put it into words, it was a feel-good, sad, hopeful story, that was suspenseful and wonderfully written. Something for everyone.

I read this book in bits and drabs over a few weeks. I had been reading paper books in between . It was pretty good on what I remember of it. A good spy book.
