But rather than waiting for Echo to coming looking for him, the Necromancer takes the battle to them instead; luring former Commander Williams away from his home and stealing the physical form of his wife, Gabrielle, a woman caught somewhere between life and death.

As he ruthlessly tracks the Necromancer through this world and the next, Cade can’t help but ask himself what Logan might want with a half-dead woman and the man who had literally travelled to hell and back to rescue her.

Yes, the editing needed to be better; however, it works really well. I like the way it continues the story. It seems more of a filler than a sequel, but then I'm a big fan and I want more. It ranks in my top three of The Templar Chronicles. I rate it below Heretic and about even with A Scream of Angels. A Tear in the Sky seemed rushed like Mr. Nassise was trying to end the series, but Infernal Games makes up for that. It pulls A Tear in the Sky together and gets things spinning again for a new adventure set. I am proud that Nassise brought back the Necromancer! It's awesome!

The story was ok. Not as good as some of the earlier ones, in my opinion. The only real issue I see with this story is the frequent typos.

WOW yet another action packed read. Great series so far.

what would you do to save the woman you love. that's exactly the question retired knight commander Cade must make.
this book is the 4th in the series and while it would have helped to read the previous books this one could have been read as a stand alone from the others 3 before.
this was a great book which had some interesting characters.
Simon logan an evil necromancer who escapes from prison and is after revenge against Echo team commander Cade.
cade is the former knight commander who has some magic in his own right. he is a man who gave up everything for Gabrielle a shell body of his wife that is lacking her soul.
Riley friend of the former commander and currently a captain and in charge of echo company. he too would do anything to protect his friend
this book has a little bit of everything. magic mixed with guns and combat. militaristic in my opinion and was a fun book.
I would read more from this series as well as from this author.

Another installment in this series about Cade Williams, now "former" Knight Commander of the Templar Knights. He's former commander because he's been fired for disobeying a direct order to leave a fellow knight in the hands of the bad guys and he just couldn't do that. Now he's staying home baby-sitting the body of his dead wife. Her soul wasn't returned from the Beyond with her body and Cade spends all his time researching to find a way to make her whole again. Now an enemy escapes from Templar prison and Cade is ordered to come back and help in the search. He refuses to continue his quest to help his wife. But he is drawn back in and then things go bad. This book ends but the story does not. Now I have to go find the next one to enjoy!

I thought this was the weakest of the Templar Chronicle books that I read thus far. Formatting wise, the book could have used another editing pass (some misspelled words, a couple of places where information was repeated shortly after it was just described). Story wise, just some things didn't seem to make much sense. I'll probably read the next book at some point because I already own it (got the first five books of the series as part of various StoryBundles), but I won't be looking forward to it as much as I had in the past.

Overall, I thought this was actually the weakest book in the Templar Chronicle series to this point, but it was still quite enjoyable. If you haven't read the first three in the series, do not start with this one as you will be lost. But I do recommend the series overall if you like paranormal action/adventures.

The fourth Templar Chronicles book, sees Cade Williams released by the order following his actions in A Tear in the Sky. Trying to put his life back together and bring Gabrielle back, he is pulled back into action after simon Logan the Necromancer escapes. Forced to help him, the story builds until the final meeting and ends on a cliff hanger as the Adversary returns.

It was a long time coming for such a short book. I enjoyed it for its story line continuation. It was poorly edited which was a bit distracting. Being on the short side, it seemed more like a filler than a sequel, especially with the "to be continued" end.

I couldn't put this book down but there wasn't a lot to like in it in the same way that there wasn't a lot to "like" in The Empire Strikes Back. It continues a good story but doesn't stand alone. Read as part of the bigger story.

Cade goes and tries to confront the necromancer and rescue his wife's body. Things get quite intense and something happens to his wife's body, but it isn't anything good. Lots of intense and unpredictable moments.

Editing needs a lot of work... misspellings and even and entire paragraph repeated. Love the story, but publication needs to be more polished. Would have been 4 stars if edited better.

Another great book by Joseph Nassise, I am loving this series, I hope Joseph continues with this as it is well worth buying.
