When the kingdom of Arendelle is trapped in an eternal winter, Anna, a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff and his sidekick reindeer Sven on an adventure to find Anna's sister, the Snow Queen Elsa, and put an end to her ice spell. Anna tells the whole adventure in her own words in this illustrated chapter book based on Disney’s Frozen!

This story is a different take on a junior novelization, telling the story of Frozen through Anna's perspective. There's not a lot here that you wouldn't just get out of watching the movie, but I guess it's still more interesting than just a regular junior novelization. It's also abridged so some scenes are modified or barely glazed over to hurry things along, but I don't really mind that. Inexplicably, though, a large portion of the scene in Elsa's ice palace is changed??? That's baffling. Good for younger fans who prefer Anna to Elsa but might find A Frozen Heart a bit of a challenge.
cute. very easy language; great for kids. it's essentially frozen 1 retold in Anna's perspective. to my very limited memory of the movie, there may have been some scenes excluded in the book, which i suppose is to keep it short. i would recommend it to younger kids i know, but there's a kissing scene at the very end... other than that it's nice <3
This is a Golden first chapters book recounting the story of Frozen from Anna's perspective, completely in first person. It's definitely a 5-star book because it goes above and beyond what you'd expect from a movie retelling. Anna's personality shines in this book and there are even details that you don't see or appreciate in the film.
"I feel Elsa's arms around me. I can hear her crying. That's weird for a lot of reasons. Elsa doesn't cry and she never puts her arms around me."
My 4-year-old loved being read to a chapter at a time, but it was a bit long for her. Older children who are making their way through chapter books should love this. Also included are a few well-done if simple illustrations.
A great adaptation of the film into an early reader chapter book. It is written from Anna's perspective, and it has a lot of humor and character--it is a great introduction for a young reader to a the world of chapter books. I read this aloud with my little girl and she has reread it to herself, too.
My girls are 5 and 7. We got through about three chapters and they were done with it. We haven't picked it up since. I don't know if they are finally getting tired of the Frozen story or if it was something about the book that wasnt interesting.
It's a nice adaptation from Anna's point of view. The language is simple and it's great for kids who have started reading. I also recommend it for people who love Frozen and are starting with English.
This is the story of Anna and her sister Elsa. It is Disney adaptation of "The Snow Queen". It is a good story. There is romance, betrayal, funny adventures, and much more. I liked this story.
My favorite part of the book was when the sisters learn how to be sisters again. I think that I would use in my class is to teach children not to judge a book by its cover
