Dr. Brett Thornton's latest discovery—an antiaging formula—should have had him set for life. Instead, everyone he meets wants a piece of him. He needs to get away, to clear his head. And he figures a once-in-a-lifetime trip into the wilds of Peru should help him put things into perspective. That is, until a gorgeous fellow tourist messes with his quest…and his libido!
Kayla Watson used to like traveling on business. But that was before her boss insisted she spy on scientist Brett Thornton on his trek into the Andes mountains. Now she's tired, dirty…and seriously in lust with sexy Brett. Lucky for her, he encourages—and helps her exercise—that lust. Again and again.
But will Brett still want her when he finds out what she's really after?
Jacquie D'Alessandro grew up on Long Island and fell in love with romance at an early age. She dreamed of being swept away by a dashing rogue riding a spirited stallion. When Joe, her hero finally showed up, he was dressed in jeans and driving a Volkswagen, but she recognized him anyway. They married after they both graduated from Hofstra University, and are now living their happily-ever-after in Atlanta, Georgia, along with their very bright and active son, Christopher, alias "Junior", who is a dashing rogue in the making.
A quick, light romance. I enjoyed the exotic setting ... a four day hike through the jungles of Peru to Machu Picchu. Details of the flora, fauna and history added to the enjoyable basic story.
Jacquie D'Alessandro has shot to the top of my historical romance tbr list, so I was happy to read one of her backlist contemp. romances.
I *highly* recommend JA's The Bride Thief and Who Will Take This Man (both hist. romances) - truly outstanding :-)
