A Call to SilenceIn silence my heart saw what my eyes could not see, my heart heard what my ears could not hear and my heart spoke what my lips could not speak. In silence I was able to enter a special room in God’s heart, a quiet room, a weeping room. In this room I found Jesus holding a heart in His hands, a heart which had been broken. He was weeping over that broken heart. He was feeling the heart’s hurt and loneliness. He wept over that wounded heart longing so much to heal the wound that tore it apart, but the heart’s owner would not seek his comfort. I saw Him pick up a heart that was cold and barren and watched his tear drops just roll off that heart. I could sense Him wishing that each tear would somehow penetrate that heart, but the heart’s owner would not open it to Him to allow His tears to enter and soften his heart. As He picked up another broken heart I reached out to Him and touched His nail pierced hand and instantly I felt His sorrow and pain, the anguish felt by the heart’s owner and I too wept. All three of us wept. It was in this quiet, weeping room that I saw my own heart’s desire. It was to not have a flourishing ministry, books published, or to even experience a healing of my body, it was only to seek and search for these heart’s owners and let them know that there is a Savior weeping for them, longing to enter their wounded heart to allow His tears, His nailed pierced hands heal those wounds.
This a series of short reflections while the author was on a retreat. I’m glad the book was free. His thoughts were interesting but the title is misleading.
I absolutely loved reading this book! I literally tore through the pages anticipating the next moment of silence. I could actually feel the love of Jesus Christ flowing through the pages.
I have say that that this Author is my favorite Christian Author . This book is a quick easy read and speaks of the broken Heart of God . Christians are waiting for God to wipe away their tears , but who will wipe away His tears ? Jesus wept and nobody comforted Him . I only wish that the Author had known a little about Shakespeare because " Oh death where is thy sting ? " and " To be or not to be " doesn't originate with Shakespeare , but comes from the Bible . I recommend this book to any Christian that would like to forget about what's going on our world and find some comfort in it's pages .
A look into the heart of a man seeking to know God. Through his silence we get a glimpse of truths that bring joy and comfort to the soul. As one who has just started studying Hebrew in the last two years it was a delight to learn new words and their many facets as I’ve found is true with all Hebrew words.
The book was written in a way that I felt the author telling me his story personally. I read it slowly so that i could get all his points and feel him and what be was going through in that silent Place. The word study was also good. I loved the book.
And again this beautiful rest of the soul which is so important to find peace within her and on earth even. Without this rest peace will never be able to stay and it will prevent war even within her understanding of her own dephts. It will spread her wings to eternity and develop her new life to show to the world and to people who are able to understand and speak her language. The language of the soul gave her best expression in this book.
