Interior designer Summer Stevens has had the worst week of her life. Besides losing her job, Summer learns she's adopted and that her fiancé is cheating on her with her best friend. Hoping to escape Los Angeles and throw herself into work, she impulsively accepts a job decorating a Jamaican beach cottage. But focusing on business proves to be a challenge when she meets her devilishly attractive employer, Gavin Pagne. Everything about this smoky-eyed hunk screams heartache—except for the way he sets her pulse racing.
Niqui wrote her first novel, Night to Remember, while she was still a senior at The University of Southern California (USC). During those years, she was highly focused on building the right academic foundation so that she might go on to work in the field of research medicine. She majored in Chemistry at USC and later went on to get a graduate degree in the field of Biomedical Sciences. Those years at University were challenging ones for her, but she was always able to relax and unwind by reading a good book.

"Unsatisfying" is the best I can say for this novel. From start to finish, it felt thin without much substance to the characters and there are too many story lines. I enjoyed "Changing the Rules" by this ame author. I'll read more of her work.
This would have been a four star, but hated the ending, just ended and since there is nothing in the book to let you know that there are more books coming.
