I loved everything about this book... zero complaints. It gave me the feels!!!
I mean seriously it had everything I love... Love, Hot man with hella long hair (my weakness) cabins in the mountains, some nail biting moments ( Seriously if any other choice would have been made.. I would have screamed and I love the way everything was handled) and a huge dog (second weakness). Po was just as important as the main characters.
This book was just awesome sauce to me and has been added to my favs!
Sienna Mynx is my go-to interracial romance author. This wasn't my favorite, but it's still good. I liked having a Native American hero for a change. Elu and Josie's relationship is what saved this book from a 2 star rating. The last half of the book is a little muddled and I still don't understand Elu's land issues fully.
Alrighty: Soooo...I like this other side to Sienna Mynx's writing. Elu(what a sexy name; just the sound of it makes me tremble), is great as a beta. 6ft 5in, deep voice, sun-kissed skin, muscular, blue-black hair that reaches his shoulders! Sounds very Yummy! ;-) Elu's quiet passion just drew me right in! Elu! *trembles*
I enjoyed this story Elu and Leoti it was a beautiful love story and so very different from Sienna Minx's other books. Elu and Leoti are soul mates the sparks fly between them from the beginning I liked reading their story and it surprised me that this book was the way it is. I felt this book was a gift from Sienna a sweet love story from a master story teller.
Why oh why did I wait so long to read this book? It was soo good! Elu captured my heart from the first moment he appeared. I could feel his spirituality and goodness rolling off of the pages. Leoti was an amazing woman looking to find herself. I was happy that she allowed Elu to capture her heart.
I was mesmerized by this epic love story and did not want it to end. I loved how patient Elu was with Leoti when her past came back to claim her. He allowed her to find out who and what she desired in her heart of hearts, even if it meant breaking his heart. Po was adorable and a fierce protector. I am a sucker for a dog.
I read this book in one day and it was a day well spent. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. ❤️❤️❤️
I enjoyed this one so much. Clappin my hands. Wow, Elu, what a man. A love like Josie' s and Elu' s is just magical. I hope that didn't sound corny. I loved the description of his home and the land; that's my kind of livin. The next time I go home maybe I'll stop by the Rez, since I have to pass right by it. Just sayin. Lol.
I’m relatively new to Sienna Mynx’s work and this is the second book that I have read by her. I don’t come across many BW/NAM books so I figured I would check this one out.
Josie is successful professionally and has been in a relationship with a man for quite some time, but she’s at a crossroad. She isn’t happy so she’s leaving her world for a while in order to search for herself and for the right path she’s supposed to take. After a horrible car accident, she finds it.. or in actuality it finds her.
I read a lot of stories with strong alpha men who are crazy in love with their women in a caveman and possessive kind of way. I love and enjoy them! They’re hot and spicy. Elu isn’t like that and I have to admit, it was a welcome change. He’s a beautiful, patient, loving man. Admittedly, part of his appeal is his sadness. He’s incomplete and longs to fill the emptiness in his soul because of all he’s lost. He feels an immediate and intense connection with Josie and struggles with it. What if he falls in love with her and ultimately loses her? How will his spirit recover from another loss?
“Leoti” is a beautiful love story. Emphasis on the word love. Yes, there is a love scene in the book, and it is very well-written, sensual and romantic. But overall the book strays away from raw and erotic physical attraction and conveys more of the emotional soulmate bond between these two lovers.
The basics of the story is Josie is brilliant attorney, that has the mind of a genius and the soul of a free spirit. She goes on a singular getaway to Montana so she can escape her fickle boyfriend, control freak mom, envious sister, and her high-profile life period. While there she gets into a car accident and loses her memory. Elu will nurse her back to health and try to give her the answers of her identity, and give her true love.
I absolutely adored this book. Elu is my soul mate (although my boyfriend may disagree hehe)in so many ways. His character was so caring, loving, and most of all spiritual. I felt his love and understood his plight, and let me just say, any man who loves Siberian huskies is a friend of mine.
Josie is a hard character for me to relate with; I did not dislike her character I just didn't like her character as much as I could have. The story was written beautifully, although the rising action and climax (Too much English homework) was a little rushed.
HUGE thumbs up for Ms. Mynx, this was a great read.
Josie Eastman runs to the mountains of Montana to discover who she really is and what she really wants. She realizes that she is really a beautiful flower named Leoti. She finds that she really wants to be loved deeply, adorned totally, and healed in a way she never knew possible.
A tragic accident places her in the hands of a healer named Elu. He heals Josie, soothing her scars and healing her hurt; he gives special attention to the wounds that lie deep within. By the time he’s through with her, she’s a totally different person, perhaps the person she should have been all along.
“Leoti” is a classic love story that gives you a wealth of characters and subtle subtext that keeps you reading non-stop. By the time you get to the end, you wish there was more. I suspect that there may be.
Sienna Mynx is an excellent writer. You can really tell that she pours herself into her work and I am looking forward to reading more of her books.
Mynx writing is a good read. I read this book in a day, it captured my attention until the very end. I gave it three stars based on the lack of character development, especially with Elu and his ancestry. Unless, one is versed in this history, the story can become complicated. The main character also seemed oddly complicated. Josie has conflicting character development, despite that she's a high powered attorney with an impressive IQ.
This was something different from Ms. Mynx and I really loved it. It was a nice change from the usual rich white hunks that are featured in interracial romances. This book just felt right. I could feel the history jumping off the pages. Josie and Elu really had a special type of romance going on. It was so innocent and pure, but it had the usual Sienna Mynx spice thrown in as well. This writing style was a welcomed changed, and I'd love to read more of these type of books from her.
A lawyer, Josie, is invoved in a car accident in MO. After being found by a Native Amercan Indian named Elu, she has no memory of her past life. With his natural healing and 💘 she regains her memories. But will Josie (Leoti) choose to go back to her past or go forward to a new life with Elu? Great story line that was well written to touch the senses.
When I tell you, I'm not a real sucker of romance, but this story was so amazing! With my busy schedule, I made it a mission to read this story every chance I got! I read this at work, in traffic, in the restroom, it was that intriguing!!!
This book was very good. I like the story of Elu and Josie. It was sweet and at the same time fierce. I enjoyed the linking of Native American history In Montana. I did not stop reading til the end. I feel like I want more of this couple 😃
Leoti is a wonderfully written and beautiful love story. I like that the main character Josie has a great life but feels like something is missing-she does not realize how much until she has a life changing experience that challenges her thoughts on who she is and how hard she should fight for her dreams. I love the diversity of the characters the heroine is African American and the hero is Native American. The story is poignant and passionate but based more of the characters love, evolvement and direction vs. constant passionate sex and alpha males. It reminds me of the old school romance movies where the characters meet, you feel their attraction and meant to be status but the love is in their words and actions. It is something new but really wonderful and just as romantic. You will love this book. Sienna never fails to try and write something new and she is one of my favorite authors. A great book and I highly recommend.
I liked this book, but I didn't love it. I actually found myself rooting for Carlton, he was so affectionate and I feel his way of thinking through the situation was pretty rational. Josie was sooooo annoying to me and seemed so indecisive and I wanted to throw that damned journal at her LOL like I know you're scared, but stop picking it up and putting it down!!! (maniacal heavy breathing after ranting). Anyways, I hate amnesia themed romance books so when I saw that's where this story went... I kept reading because I paid for it lol!
Read awhile ago. Interesting plot twist. Any downgrades would be because of the simply thought out main character and simple story arch. I mean is it possible for authors to create main characaters that are more realistic and not perfect or have very simple one layer personality ticks. Is it that much to ask for more flushed out characters who arent always right or one emotion driven?
