A hodge-podge collection of nine brilliantly weird, macabre, but oddly beautifully written, short stories that were a real pleasure to read. I can't usually pick favourites, but 'Abner's Wisdom' was incredibly moving, with an overlay of soul-crushing guilt, while still allowing for an underlying hope to shine through.
