This book was fucking ridiculous and I devoured every single word of it. A heroine too stupid to exist and an Alpha Daddy who entertains this nonsense. My body was a dripping faucet and it's mortifying. 💦

All in good fun. While you can’t take this one too seriously (or at all), there is a plot and sketching out of characters. Author downplays this work as porn with a plot or emphasizing porn over the plot, but while the plot is threadbare, and it is definitely porny, I have to say there is still a story. And a much more interesting premise than other romances I’ve recently started, skimmed, and paused.
I lol-ed when she was convincing him it was to help her, but I really loved the story during her trial. The dialogue and the events were just funny. And brought some levity to it that did not undercut the suspense but added to it.
I have to say this every time the rare time it happens but it is refreshing when the heroine is a nymphomaniac. And no dressing up or agonizing or disguising of healthy lust. It’s fun to read about it when done right.

3 very smutty stars. I appreciated the author’s note which basically said “don’t read this for the plot, read it for the daddy kink”. 😏 The dialogue also made me laugh, it was SO porny.

I feel like Evangeline Anderson wrote this book in three days 🤣. The book definitely needed more editing (proofreading). When it ended, I was surprised, though it made logical sense for it to end there. I just needed a slightly longer ending. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 4 stars.
This book accomplished what it set out: I got my rocks off. This is probably TMI, but this book had me pull out my vibrator, lmao.
I didn't think the plot was bad, just simple. But it was written as a book for sex scenes rather than for a story with a good plot.
Madison grew up with her father's best friend, Jack. However, he moves away when she's ten. The next time they see each other is when she's nineteen and her parents were killed in a car crash and he comes to help her process her grief. She's had a crush on him for years, but he doesn't want to give into their attraction because in the wereworld, he's the equivalent of her "uncle", though there are no blood ties between them.
This is a fast, steamy werewolf read. I wouldn't pick it up if daddy kink makes you cringe. (This book had me create the tags "daddy kink" and "father's best friend", even though I've read books with that before.) I would have finished this faster had my great aunt not been able to sleep.

This was a very well written story. Some people may not care for their chosen endearments but the story was tastefully done and the characters are non related, concenting adults.
The close bond these two formed over the years was well stated and could only , in my opinion conclude with them falling in love.
I enjoyed this book very much.

The names the characters chose to call each other is a personal choice and I had no problem with them using them.
Since the characters stated many times that they weren't blood related and he was only 20 years older, should help people who may feel uncomfortable.
As in most stories there were people I personally would have used a kitchen utensil on. But hey, that's me.
I highly recommend this to anyone with an open mind and the ability to understand that this was NOT incest in any way, shape or form. It was a LOVE story beginning to end.

So I've read quite a number of Evangeline Anderson books, and this is the first time I've come across a book where she included 2108103710970912 warnings to the reader before the first chapter even began. And now that I finished Heat Cycle, I totally understand why she warned her readers LOL.
Heat Cycle is book 3 in the Forbidden Omegaverse series, and it can surely be read as a standalone. It was enough to make me binge the rest of the series LOL.
Heat Cycle is a Daddy romance, and this is usually not my cup of tea. But IDK!!! I KINDA LIKED IT??? It was so freaking ridiculous omg. The premise is simple: the heroine's parents pass away in a car accident, and her dad's best friend returns to take care of her, even though she's already a grown ass adult. They begin to live together because, you know, she's grieving. And there's only one bed, but he's her Daddy Jack, so it's okay for them to share a bed 💀 She also doesn't know that she's a were until she starts going into heat. Good thing she's got Alpha Daddy Jack around 💀
The ridiculousness of it all made me laugh so much. The dialogues were hilarious. The smut was very smutty. She calls him Daddy Jack the entire time 💀 Honestly, this was the most ridiculous novella ever, but I ate it up!! I can't explain it!! You gotta be in the mood for this type of bananas smutty book. I had a blast listening to the audiobook on a hot weekend. Evangeline Anderson knows how to write these types of books. Her stories always give me what I'm craving for.
To be honest, I had so much fun with this book that I almost gave it 4 solid stars. But the drama at the end was completely unnecessary. The ending was abrupt and the resolution felt incomplete. The attempt at plotting a half-assed conflict felt like a waste of pages. Just give me more smut instead LOL.

For all intense and purposes, I am here out of curiosity.
I knew immediately going into this it was a daddy kink spice romance as the author’s note clearly states at the beginning. I was simply wondering if it was my thing. 🙈
The kink I actually enjoyed. I LOVED the dirty talk and was okay with the dynamic between these two. And the plot was nice, it broke things up.
The only thing I didn’t like about this was the ending. During the time when they FINALLY had penetration sex it just… wasn’t fulfilling. 🤷♀️ I didn’t enjoy it and the dirty talk had gotten old. They’d just kept saying the same thing over and over again. 😭😭😭
There wasn’t any description of him actually moving which really turned me off how they were “fucking” but not… fucking. It was just her saying how good it felt but there was no ACTION!
We also get this lead on how Jack will take her in his wolf form and then it never happens. 😑
To be honest it was pretty melodramatic. But this book did help me understand my tastes more and I’m glad I read it.

Would’ve been better without the poorly attempted plot
Honestly, the actual spicy scenes were pretty hot. It’s definitely gratuitous with the D/L dynamic although out so if that’s your thing then you’d probably enjoy the open door scenes here.
Unfortunately, however, as an actual coherent story it just really falls flat. If the author had written this as just like, an erotic short I probably would have given it 4 stars, but no, the author decided to give this a plot and an actual storyline. If you’re going to do that then you need to give just as much attention to the story and that just isn’t present. Its plot for the sake of plot and was constructed poorly. It could have been great if the author had actually fleshed out all of the ideas.
TLDR; great if you are willing to ignore the story and just read it for the smut. Couple does not go all the way until the very end.

Despite enjoying this it’s Not my favourite in the series but for what this was I think it was done well with that typical Evangeline Anderson flair, which I typically love, this however was a slight miss for me because I wasn’t a huge fan of the dynamic of the relationship in this. I didn’t like how the hero was constantly pushing away the heroine and the heroine was constantly chasing the hero around practically begging him to be with her, and it just came off as slightly annoying.
Personally I much prefer the chasing to be done by the hero but if you don’t care about that and your in the mood for a quick spicy taboo shifter romance with a daddy kink twist I’d definitely recommend giving this one a go!

The author said that this was not much plot but there was alot of smut, NO WAYYYY. The way the author was dancing around the smut until the last chapter I was pissed. Madison’s parents died so she her “daddy jack” came to take care of her. She was a secret were and almost the whole book she was in heat. She wanted her “daddy” to playing with her cooter, hold her boobs, finger her, all those types of things. He kept rejecting her and took a long time to convince because her father and him were blood sworn brothers (think like david and jonathan lol) and he felt like it would be incest (it wouldnt be he just felt very loyal to him). She had to go to public breeding bc she was in heat and jack refused to help her, she was almost raped by two guys in the forest and jack saved her. They got put on trial for breaking certain rules and they found out she was a prominent person in a prophecy, so jack and madison ended up together.

The story is not heavy on plot, but the author states right up front that it wasn't intended to be, so fair is fair. It's basically an entertaining spicy cocktail, some light reading when you want to feel and not think. It's not a DDlg story, but is age gap and has a heroine with a definite Daddy kink. I found Madison a bit annoying, but considering what she was going through, I'll cut her a little slack. I liked Daddy Jack, but I found myself wishing ... I don't know. That he had more of a backbone? Madison could manipulate him like crazy. That we could hear his thoughts/thinking process? The story was told entirely in Madison's voice. I guess what I'm saying is that I know what this author is capable of, and I wish this story had some of that depth, but that wasn't her intention here, and she stated that right up front.

I do appreciate how much care Ms. Anderson puts into her books and the unintentional impact that they may have on a reader. In this case, she is very clear on the type of book this is and the reader should pay attention. This type of book is nmk and it definitely followed a trope and a pattern similar to other books that she has written. I am intrigued to see if, dialing down the sexy times, she could take this story and build it into a series. There is potential there for a truly interesting and fun series. I don’t know thatI would read another book so heavily into this particular trope but if it is tempered with some more of the world building and develops what is set up at the end of this story, I would be really interested.

this book was hot af! although, the smut was basically one long build-up to the final sex scene with penetration at the very end, which unfortunately after all the anticipation and teasing ended up falling flat for me. it was brief and perfunctorily written and it did not live up to the positively sizzling scenes leading up to it.
the plot, what little was there, was interesting and kept me engaged throughout and i was genuinely feeling for the h, i found myself cringing at what she was supposed to endure, poor thing, it was terrible (and let me tell you i'm not squeamish!). some things were so ridiculous, like the "prophesied bitch of the legends" bit lmao, that they 100% took me out of the story but!! i ignored them all because i was too invested.
also i just have to point out that the way the H and the h spoke was comically similar to bad porno talk but you know what it did NOT prevent me from throughly enjoying the smut! it was that hot, yes
so, yeah, 4 solid stars! despite a couple of shortcomings, i really enjoyed the book overall.

What can you really say? It truly is exactly what the author claimed the book to be. Sometimes frisky is what you need and a real character/storyline in depth book. Honestly, sometimes reading the dialogue I felt like I could have been watching an adults only movie. You know where dialogue and story are kinda put in so it's considered a movie? This was so it was considered a novel?
BUT SERIOUSLY! THE AUTHOR TOLD READERS WHAT TO EXPECT! AND YES I ENJOYED IT. Only 4 stars for editing. Gotta love shifters. And FYI, if you have a kink or are interested in a taboo troupe this author is awesome. Love her Kindred books also. Check her out.

A naughty daddy / age gap with a shifter twist. The author is very forward with what is in this book. So please read her comments before the story to make sure this is what you want. With that said the story is very spicy. The main character is definitely spoiled when it comes to her Daddy Jack. He just can’t say no to her. But they will face some serious problems when the pack has some very tight rules.

I love evangeline Anderson books. I have read her kindred bride series, forbidden omegaverse series and other novels they all are amazing. Erotica is not everyone's cup of tea. I have read many authors doing Erotica genre but never really got the vibes. But evangeline always gives steamiest Erotica with a beautiful plot that keeps me up all night because I just don't wanna stop reading it. Heat cycle was just the kind of book with daddy kink that I was looking. Love the dirty talk.🔥🔥🔥🔥

I had mixed feelings with the storyline of this book. The characters seemed too dense or devious to be taken seriously. The same phrases were used throughout which became a bit tiresome, by George, we got it the first several times. Most of Evangeline’s books are pretty good; I can understand why some of the non-Kindred books did not make it onto audiobooks.

This book was sooo hot!!! Phew the chemistry between Daddy Jack and his princess was off the charts. I really loved this story. As usual the author has written a great story with great world building. If this isn't your kind of book she gives you plenty of warning beforehand. I can't wait for more books like this one!

I knew this story would have me torn, should I read it or not, as I love this author. I'm basing my review on the story line others may love certain scenes. Fair enough that warnings were given about the plot and lack of. This story kept me entertained and I loved the world described by the author.

Hot and Taboo
I absolutely loved this book! It has one of my favorite taboo topics. If it is not your cup of tea Evangeline gives you more than enough of a warning to stay clear of the book. This book is short and sweet.

The innocence and the dirty talk A++ Not to mention Jack is everything a lady would want in a guardian. The storyline held my interest and contained the perfect amount of romance and action! I can’t wait for another book just like this one 💯

There are a lot of content warnings with this book. Heed them. Do note that there is no incest involved, and the characters are adults.
Without giving away spoilers I just want to ask, why were there so many alphas? How can a non-member of a group be disciplined for not abiding by the rules?

This was so over the top, the dialogue was like a bad porno at times. Then there was the "prophesied bitch of the legends" - it's impossible to take this too seriously. I didn't mind it, though. It's only for those who want an exaggerated dd/lg scenario.
