Putting the book down at page 123. It's been really useful! The language is weirdly colonial at times but what I wanted was a light primer on PR history and a bit of cultural info, and it has that. I'm at the segment about specific locations and maps, which I'm interested in but not going to read right now. I may take it back out of the library in the future when I'm ready.

Don't think I'd use it as a travel guide but that's not what i needed.

I think that this book was really interesting. I learned many things about Puerto Rico. I learned that Puerto Rico is a very exciting place to be in. One example is the flowers on the island. "This lush, green island produces a vast array of flora which ranges from myriad varieties of orchid to a cornucopia of trees, many of them bearing fruit, including coconuts, limes, pineapples, and exotic starfruit" (194). This shows that Puerto Rico is a place that grows tons of plants. I think it is pretty cool how there are a lot of trees that grows food and fruits. I would like to visit Puerto Rico because it seems very cool and there is a lot of places to go there. I don't like that it is far away.

Unfortunately, when we went to Puerto Rico, DK didn't have a guide for Puerto Rico, so we got this one, which looked the best. It was disappointing. After using DK Eyewitness Travel Guides for so long, nothing else can compare. It has some info though, and of course you do need a travel guide, so yeah, it's recommended. But if DK ever comes out with one of their Eyewitness Travel Guides for Puerto Rico, definitely get that one.

This is a quite neat and complete guide to the most interesting places of the island. The version I read is a little bit out of date; but it is still useful for those who have time to enjoy the beauty of the nature.

Useful if not dated, reads more like a classroom book on PR than a travel guide, but appreciate the more neutral presentation of areas etc. I read this for an upcoming trip to PR and found more useful guides but this was ok.

This guidebook reads more like an actual book than a guidebook. While some may like the way everything is listed, I am a fan of guidebooks that are more bullet-points than narration.
