Unequivocally, the best chapter was about the International Fried Egg Conference, which I really wish existed! (Also, I wish I'd had eggs in the fridge as I was reading it.) But also, there were a couple of cute romantic chapters (ice cream/boxing), one where Yamaoka righteously stands up to a pretentious tea ceremony snob, and one where nigiri was made better by that lil extra rice. Was a little grossed out by the fishing chapter, but it was interesting to learn how the same fish can take on different flavors. All in all, an excellent volume!
